I don't usually play visual novels. Is it normal for them to abruptly end and have stories that go nowhere?

Yes.
play a real VN like Danganronpa 1+2
>real VN
>Dang It Ron Paul
Don't play that unless you like eating shit.
>VN
>Play
Sup Forums tricked you.
This game is made by memelords who browses Sup Forums.
Whats a good VN then?
Play Zero Escape
Umineko
>being retarded in 2016 + 1
>Umineko
>that crap better then DR2
nigger please
You press play to start a movie.
Himawari. Just came out on steam. Bit pricy, but but good hard sci fi story with cute girls.
>edgy waifu highschool murder simulator
>not trash
At least Danganropa's artstyle does not hurt to look at.
Should I play Steins Gate if I already saw the anime ?
Real visual novels have multiple routes with their own endings.
no, this is just overrated Sup Forums """""comfy""""" meme shit
Or you could not be a retard and download it with the PS3 sprites
meme'd again by Sup Forums's abysmal shit taste. i swear this is like the 4th time.
Not that guy but that's very debatable user
why are VN so fucking expensive?
This. "Comfy" is the absolute worst fucking meme on this board.
>play visual novels
You mean read.
Probably because there are so few that buy them. If they were cheaper it would probably not be even worth localizing.
>that's very debatable user
No.
No it's not.
I thought it was really tedious having seen the anime but everyone else seems to love it
Usual or not that's still a fault. But perfectly represents mindset people playing them.
Don't get lured by anime into playing bad games.
It's a shame because it's not like the characters were too terrible or anything. Some of the scenes were ok, in fact most of it is ok. It's only by the time you reach the end you realize it just ended for no reason, and it retroactively rendered meaningless a lot of the thing that happened during the "story". Whole plot lines and elements introduced and left on nothing. Characters walking out of the story with no resolution.
A complete mess, true be heard.
Again, using images of the old sprites when the Alchemist sprites exist doesn't help prove your point. I can just replace the shitty original sprites with professional ones. You can't replace Danganronpa's garbage artstyle.
Yeah. It is a lot different. Obviously you'll know most of what happens, but the anime cuts a ton of Okabe's internal monologues that offer a ton of insight into his thoughts and shit. That and there are several unique endings that are just as emotional as the ending of the anime.
Not even remotely normal. Most have at least some sort of story arc.
Vallhalla is just a half finished piece of shit that only has memes going for it.
And it's worth mentioning that these VNs sometimes don't break even in terms of sales.
Which is a shame since Himawari is really good and I don't know if this is one of the VNs
If it's been a while since you watched it, you would enjoy it. Anime adaptation is faithful enough, though you obviously get more from reading the VN. I had fun with it, though you should probably wait for a sale if you're really unsure if you'll go through it again.
>moving the goalpost.
ok bud.
But that's the ugly version of Umineko.
At least mitten hands are cute. This is just bad anime art.
>Danganropa's artstyle does not hurt to look at
>Yes it does
>No it doesn't
The goalpost was never moved.
>The art style isnt shit.
>T-that does not count. I-its the old ORIGINAL art.
