I feel like playing a GTA-like game, but I feel like there are very few good Open-World modern setting games.

I have played every GTA, except IV because it runs like shit on my PC for some reason.
I've played Saint's Row III, I gave up on 2 because of performance reasons.
Sleeping Dogs is boring as shit
Just Cause 2 is very repetitive and the combat is kinda shit
I've played both Mafias too, they're as good, if not slightly better than GTA, but they're a different kind of game.

Is Watch_Dogs even worth pirating?

Recommend me some games in this genre please, Sup Forums.

Dying Light

The FPS controls feel kinda wonky and it looks like I can't go anywhere without having to be barred by some zombies.

Open world FPS games generally put me off, stuff like Far Cry, the only one I liked was Blood Dragon

I forgot to mention that one of the features I'm looking for is alternate ways of transport other than walking/running

Batman Arkham Knight

Combat is shit

>hating on Sleepy Dogs and Just Cruise 2

So is GTA combat though.

This meme has to stop

>Sleeping Dogs
>stands out in literally no way, as mediocre as a game can be

>Just Cause 2
>only fun for 30 minutes

>Sleeping Dogs is boring as shit
Neck yourself.

>Sleeping Dogs is boring as shit
DELETE

Just Cruise 2 is kinda fun, but the story is shit, the combat is repetitive and it becomes boring after a while.

Sleepy Dogs as a good story, but the combat is also a bit repetitive, although more fun, but the game itself is boring

pirate Watch Dogs 2. It's pretty big, has Marin, Oakland and Silicon Valley as other areas to visit instead of just San Francisco.

Sorry guys, I liked the game a lot for the first 10 hours, but then it just became boring

>inb4 you have ADHD
Nope, I've played games lots of people consider "boring" like Fallout 1 and 2. Sleeping Dogs is too shallow, nothing really quite grabs you

Doesn't it have Denuvo, tho?

Watch Dogs runs like shit on most setups. In fact, I tried pirating it just the other week and uninstalled it because of the frame drops that happened while driving or during any major action sequence. I played with the game settings and couldn't get anything to work, even on the lowest graphics settings. I'm running an i7-6700 and gtx 1060 so I know it's not due to a lack of performance on my end.

It sucks you hate Sleeping Dogs because that would have been one of my recommendations. Did you ever play Saboteur? It might be worth a try just for something a bit different

I did play Saboteur too, RIP pandemic

forgive me for asking, but what about Assassin's Creed games? they've been pretty hit or miss, but black flag and rogue aren't too bad with the ship sailing aspect

Asscreed

You mean GTA-clones?

You should try SR2, really. It's possibly the best San Andreas clone in my opinion. Yeah the performance is shit but if you able to play it somehow, boy you in for some great time.
Both Watch Dogs are alright. I prefer 2.
Driver Parallel Lines is a very "okay" GTA clone. Driver SF is a great Driver game.
There's also Mafia 3 but it's buggy as shit.

I've played a bit of Asscreed 1 and 2, i was liking the story but the gameplay is really shallow. I might give Black Fag a try

>It's possibly the best San Andreas clone in my opinion
Fuck yes I had such stupid fun with that game

I've heard that the only way to really fix the performance is to underclock my CPU to match the 360's CPU speed

And that's really fucking stupid

MGSV
Arkham City and Knight
Crackdown 1&2 (and a sequel hopefully coming soon)
Red Dead Redemption

Also, Bully if you want GTA at a boarding school

>MGSV
played it for 70h, game is a drag, gave up
>Arkham City and Knight
Bought City in a sale, might give it a shot
>Crackdown 1&2 (and a sequel hopefully coming soon)
>Red Dead Redemption
Got no consoles

L.A. Noire

Best way to play SR2 is on consoles, unfortunately. There's fixes, but they don't help much really. SR2 is, in my opinion, the best open-world GTA-like. It's a technical mess but it's pretty fun with lots to do, set in a great city, with an interesting enough story. Only game I've never regretted pre-ordering, still play it today, you're missing out senpai. You could try SR4, it's no 2, but I liked it more than 3. I had a problem with my saves getting corrupted frequently(like once every 2 months), but I played the PS3 version. Heard good shit about the PC port though.

Watch Dogs 2 got cracked a few weeks ago.

I like 2 a lot too, it felt like a more goofy, but more advanced San Andreas

4 looks like it's stepping too much into Prototype territory with the powers and whatnot

Nice, how's the optimization? My GPU is kinda old (GTX 750ti, OC'ed).

>Sleeping Dogs is boring as shit
why would anyone say that

Yeah, 4 is definitely the most over-the-top SR, and it's nothing like 2 outside of having some fanservice shit here and there, but it was better than 3, or I thought it was, anyways. You could also check out the first 2 Dead Rising games, not very GTA-like but they're good sandbox games set in interesting locations

It's not as bad as you'd expect.
Runs pretty much the same as the first Watch Dogs, so I guess it's an improvement.

> I can't go anywhere without having to be barred by some zombies.
That's why climbing alone made DL much better than DI
