nintendoeverything.com
damn you todd howard.
>Even Zelda has now been destroyed by The Elder Scrolls
Worst series of all time. As if it ruining Fallout and Witcher wasn't bad enough.
I don't understand.
I don't fucking understand.
>Try to play oblivion
>Escape from prison
>Aimless open fields and boring quests
>uninstall
>Try to play Skyrim
>Escape village
>SOME direction this time- go to the blacksmith
>Boring crafting
>uninstall
I can put up with fucking classic x-com and dwarf fortress, but for the fucking life of me can't understand how ANY of this holds normie attention spans?
What other game gives you the ability to throw a tankard at a bandits face before stealing his soul, ripping off his clothes and then bringing him back from the dead?
You can't deny it's one of the most "organic" games around, what other game lets make ridiculous stories like Skyrim?
Why do Japanese developers like that shitty game so much?
> Aonuma stopped leaving messages to his son in his games since his son told him that he had grown up, and didn’t need them anymore
WTF
>What other game gives you the ability to throw a tankard at a bandits face before stealing his soul, ripping off his clothes and then bringing him back from the dead?
This is why Bethesda's games are so successful.
They have absolutely no competition.
>With Skyrim, he likes how when you enter a new town, it feels different from other ones you’ve visited
I don't get it. Was Kakariko supposed to be similar to the Market, Zora's Domain, Goron's Cavern and Gerudo's Fortress?
That is the mystery
this is the most casual normie post i have ever seen
It will be shit, confirmed.
>nothing
bald fuck saves his ass again
It's only inspired on Skyrim while reaching a new town though.
>Aonuma stopped leaving messages to his son in his games since his son told him that he had grown up, and didn’t need them anymore
AONUMA'S SON REALLY DID RUIN ZELDA
It doesn't, that's the point. It's for people who lack an attention span.
Fus-ro-dumb.
Everytime, Kamiya
And...? Bethesda has sold pretty much the same game four times now, and normies still love them. It's a formula that works.
Is LA Noire that good? I dropped it because I didn't have time when I tried it but I may pick it up again
It's an amusing experience.
It's easy and people love inatant gratification and doing the same shit hours upon hours.
Personal experience is GW2. Peronally I had fun with it for about two weeks, then shit startedto get boring. A friend of mine was playing this game like crazy for two years. Even to this day he does his daily's pretty often.
Actually more inspired by Ubisoft assassins creed/far cry design which has worst implications. Anyone notice that ubisoft was the first company to come out and support the switch? I wonder why?
I liked exploring in skyrim and getting in places I shouldn't be but the clunky combat made me drop it pretty fast
Go to bed, Horizon-Kun
nice defense, saying botw has mediocre design philosophy means I'm shill for another game with mediocre design philosophy.
Horizon-Kun you aren't fooling anyone
dwarf fortress, with 300% more detail, which was "made" 5 years before skyrim
JUST
>it's a baiting sonygger OP starts another sensationalistic thread episode
Aonuma clearly said he wanted to captivate the feel that you get when entering different towns in skyrim, the fact that they are all different in style, he says that because all he ever did was kakariko and castle town, but it's not a feature exclusive to skyrim, stop twisting his words into your own corrosive shitposting you fucking cucklet, Breath of the Wild is 100% inspired by the first fucking game in the series, which is IRONICALLY what elder scrolls copied, so go die.
Yeah, go Todd!
I just want to finally be able to climb a mountain.
> With Skyrim, he likes how when you enter a new town, it feels different from other ones you’ve visited
That's it.
That's the only thing he said, and honestly, it's pretty true.
all of the cities in skyrim, while underwhelming, are all different.
>at_the_mountains_of_madness.webm
Thought you could escape Todd by not buying bethesda games? Think again fuckers
>angry birds
no wonder mighty no 9 sucked ass
Pretty sure that's Todd wearing a Aonuma mask.
...
how much is sony paying you to keep mentioning downgraded pieces of shit?
Yep, nothing new here. I was worried ever since he gave this interview back in 2013, pic related. I knew this was going to be bad.
Maybe Vidya is not for you.
Gee, I wonder if Japanese developers are examining Skyrim due to the fact it quickly sold over 20 million units.
It doesn't work exactly like Ass Creed's.
> which is IRONICALLY what elder scrolls copied
Elder Scrolls copied dungeon crawlers like Might and Magic you fucking retard. I bet you also think Zelda 1 created the open world game when games like Ultima predates it.
>tfw to intelligent for open world games
We knew this since the beginning
>learning from other games is bad!
Devs steal from each other all the time. The only question is if they do it right.
>make character
>get attached to it
>grow it while accumulating shit and exploring
>lose allure of getting new shit/run out of interesting guild/side quests
>repeat after a few months
Skyrim can fuck a duck though. 0/10 sidequests and shit dungeoning.
>Japs taking Western ideas and implementing them with their own strange twists.
Japanese history since the day they met the Dutch, ladies and gents.
It would be a lot more tolerable if it didn't have shitty combat. First mods I downloaded were AI and combat overhauls.
That has to be the stupidest post with the stupidest fucking evidence i've seen all month.
WOW THEY WENT FIRST GUYS WHAT DOES IT MEEEEAN
Portugal I meant
We've known that since before it was even announced as BotW you fucking faggit. It was literally one of the first things they mentioned about "Zelda WiiU"
>iconic themed dungeons with unique music, mechanics, and environments are kill
>people clapping at this like a culturally enriched burgerstanian
For what purpose.
>all Nintendo games are just rehashed shit of games that game out 5+ years ago except on weaker hardware
Sounds about right.
People think the more recent Zelda titles are complete shit and this is attempting something different. Pretty fucking complex.
>Angry Birds
I remember this picture from back then and it makes a lot more sense now
We should have known
The bosses better get my almonds ejaculating.
>Katamari creator
>Katamari for the vita
This part of the interview really crushed me.
Why the FUCK take out themetic dungeons? Why the fuck not add a theme flavor to each? I understand nintendo wants to get away from the same like half-dozen area-themes they keep recycling.
But fuck man I'm sad that this basically confirms no forest-temple, no desert-temple, no water-temple, etc. I guess thats double edged sword because it could open up new development but eliminating themes altogether sounds like a dumb fuckin move. I have a feeling Its gonna severly dampen or elimnate any kind of atmospheric transition. The Mech dungeons and shrines better fucking deliver that zelda itch in spades.
If BoTW turns out to be a mindless generic slog its gonna fucking kill me harder than MGSV being unfinished.
Skyrim was never bad.
it doesnt matter who did it first it's who did it best and Legend of Zelda did it best
Where's Ultima now?
>...
thats what i fucking thought.
>– With Skyrim, he likes how when you enter a new town, it feels different from other ones you’ve visited
this is the only mention of skyrim, bethesda, or howard
pretty mild.
Why is Sup Forums so tsundere for Skyrim? It is so odd. People only speak of it negatively here and yet it's constantly spoken about.
Is there another game that makes Sup Forums all hot and sweaty like Skyrim? I do not think so.
shh todd, it's time to sleep
Just because you're 12 and don't like something doesn't mean it's shit user. I bet you think mgs3 is a good game.
Japanese game makers are all serious westaboos and have been since the NES days. Wizardry was huge back then and inspired all of their rpgs
The fact that they have latched on to skyrim is problematic for me however as I might be one of the few people in earth who hated every single elder scrolls game. They are all shit.
We know this for years now and it's a good thing. Skyrim is the biggest shit ever but Zelda literally needed some Skyirm, especially after Skyward Sword.
Some leeway, some "emptiness" in the world, some scale, less handholding, more sidequests etc.
It's a great thing. Period.
...
If it works it might be a good thing but this is basically revamping the old Legend of Zelda formula into something else. That's a huge change especially for Nintendo which needs this game to be nothing but success for their new console.
And I don't remember any good Jap sandbox games.
