>SEGA does something that isn't making good video games
>MMMM BASED SEGA
Depressing, OP.
Think they'll buy Utopia after Sonic 2017 bombs?
Sega has been retarded and awful for like 15 years now
It's funny because a while ago I was wondering why a bunch of Sonic OSTs were suddenly vanishing off of Spotify, and now this. So it's just another case of, "We weren't making money off this before, so we got rid of the people doing it for free."
>NiGHTs: Into Dreams OST
Oh yeah.
It's called Perfect Album for a reason
>OutRunners
>not OutRun
Outrunners ost is amazing
youtu.be
>tfw Sonic 3 and Knuckles OST never ever due to gay music rights issues
Wait what, I haven't heard about this. But I do know I played the pc version and it had slightly different music from what I've heard.
>not listening to everything for free on youtube years ago
Sega is not based. Sega is baseless.
>listening to sub 128 kbps
some of the stuff has been on Spotify for a while now.
I have some of the sonic adventure and sonic lost world soundtrack in my playlist.
They are irrelevant and fucking desperate for some publicity.
Michael Jackson nigga

>The most popular track is "sonicboom" followed by several hip hop remixes.
>hip hop remixes
Was gonna say this, also Jet Set Radio
That's just a myth.
It's three volumes of Outrun OSTs covering every Outrun game. It's great.
It's not

>B&W: Can you clarify the rumor that Michael had in 1993 composed the music for Sonic 3 video game, for which you havel been credited?
>Buxer: I've never played the game so I do not know what tracks on which Michael and I have worked the developers have kept, but we did compose music for the game. Michael called me at the time for help on this project, and that's what I did. And if he is not credited for composing the music, it's because he was not happy with the result sound coming out of the console. At the time, game consoles did not allow an optimal sound reproduction, and Michael found it frustrating. He did not want to be associated with a product that devalued his music...
>B&W: One of the surprising things in this soundtrack is that you can hear the chords from Stranger in Moscow, which is supposed to have been composed later...
>Buxer: Yes, Michael and I had composed those chords for the game, and it has been used as base for Stranger in Moscow. [...]
testkitchen.huffingtonpost.com/michaeljacksonsonic/
It has a lot of credible evidence
It's been pretty much confirmed as real.
In either case there's definitely some kind of issue regarding Sonic 3 licensing given how opposed SEGA is to re-releasing it (no Taxman port, no PSN version, no OST release etc).
Why the fuck would you use that image for any article not directly related to the Archie comics?
"fucking based" would be releasing a sonic game in the last 10 years that wasn't bad.
>interrogation marks
this annoys me every time it's posted
Fuck evidence it's pretty much the truth see The only thing which is a bit of a hurdle is which tracks he composed but it's generally agreed that he(and his team) did
>Sonic 3 Mini-boss theme
>Sonic 3 Ending theme
>Carnival Night
>Possibly Ice Cap Zone(Brad Buxer recycled the unreleased song "Hard Times" by his old band "The Jetzons" but MJ might have re-arranged them contributed to the remixes)
>Launch Base Zone
>Competition Select Menu
According to testkitchen.huffingtonpost.com/michaeljacksonsonic/ one of the guys on MJ's team still has all the original recordings he did with Micheal and that there's apparently 40+ tracks(leading me to think most of them probably got dropped but some of them evidently made it in)
>tfw Sega fanboy from the 90s
Can you feel life moving through your mind?
Can you feel time slippin' down your spine?
Sega's so fucking far from based it's not even funny.
Uploading a bunch of tracks to a music streaming site is NOTHING. It's fucking nothing.
Until they decide to make a game with some fucking substance and stop acting like a bunch of retarded kikes, they're dead.
>no PSN version
There's an XBLA/Wii VC version
Not sure why it was never on PSN
Either way re-releasing an emulation is perfectly legal since you're just using the original rom
Ports on the other hands are a different issue altogether
Sonic CD had problems too with Lyrics rights which is why it didn't have the Jap songs(they've since retrieved the rights to those lyrics but they never bothered to update the remaster thanks sega)
Sega only has one option left to survive in today's modern age and that is to be as radical to the max as they can. Hopefully this leads to more bizarre behaviour and interesting games.
>Pumpkin Hill is 2nd place on sega's page
>Sega fanboy from the 90s
>Sings Adventure 2 song
fuck outta here
It's a start at least, a very small, dumb, insignificant start, but it's a start!
sega was always had fucking great OST though
Which is we need a Jet Set Radio 3 with JSRF as a free bonus
So they have Sonic R on there too?
Uhh...considering Sonic is pretty much the God of Video Game Music it's definitely something
/thread
It's not a start. It's literally nothing. Most of this shit was already available on spotify.
Probably
CAN YOU FEEEEEEEEEL LIFE
TANGLE YOU UP INSIDE?
YEAH
NOW YOU'RE CLIPPIN' THROUGH THE FLOOR
WHOAOOAOOAOOO
>Streaming music
Fucking plebs
...
I swear there was a lot of sonic music on spotify and it all disappeared a whilw ago. Am I crazy?
What soundtrack are those lyrics from?
Hybrid Front on that list?
youtube.com
It's from the beginning of Live and Learn, main theme of SAdve 2
You know me, the fighting freak Knuckles, And we're at Pumpkin Hill, You ready?
Well watamigonado I'm not fucking sega, I'm happy with some sega OST on my playlist.
So we should complain somewhere to make them do something
sega has been pretty good lately
kinda wish they would just dump all their old games on steam though
If Sega is so based, why hasn't there been a good Sega developed game in the last 10 years?
>using spotify
>PAYING for spotify
you are getting ripped off
They've fucked up a lot so they need to make back a lot of good faith
>Using anything
>Paying for anything
You're getting ripped off
>Founded 23 April 2006; 10 years ago
Almost 11 fucking years, still missing ogreloads of artists.
I'm sure this is a call for despair.
I'm still waiting for them to make sonic soundtracks available on google play. iTunes gets all the love.
go fuck your lies
Some are available on Amazon
>Sega
>gaming
>Releasing audio tracks
>This is good
Never change Sup Forums.
You don't consider either version of Unleashed, Colors, Generations good? Everything after is pretty bad I will agree.
audio autism is the worst kind.
This shit sounds fine.
youtube.com
Good thing it's as easy as replacing mp3s in the files.
>listening to vidya music
>out of all of it fucking sonic
>ywn be this pathetic
Better tape your MLP fedoras to your heads manchildren, when you run with your arms back to Mcdonald's listening to green hill zone it might fall off!
Sonic 3s music is pretty trashy anyway. Even 06 had a better soundtrack
You make it sound like 06 didn't have a great soundtrack to begin with.
I kinda like Sonic Riders 2.
Does anyone have the full soundtrack for Jet Set Radio that contains all the licensed tracks as well?
It really doesnt, its pretty average as far as sonic soundtracks go. A lot of sounds like scrapped music for phantasy star online or universe, more 2006 sonic team games. People say its 11/10 because its one of the few good things in the game so it stands out from everything else.
>No Streets of Rage
ONE FUCKING JOB SEGA
>2011+6
>asking for a company to make a good video game
Why not just ask for control of the whole world, and the ability to fly, while you're at it.
I hope they remember this fucking masterpiece
m.youtube.com
...
Meme game that has been forgotten now since the only thing it used to be remembered by was its soundtrack.
Hi.
>Jet Set Radio
Welp, that's all the reason I need to subscribe.
>Message from Nightopia
They do what Nintendon't.
Why wasn't that song in Mirai or in Future Tone?
>tfw Endless Possibility is still not on Spotify
Sure hope they will.
Also this:

my nigga
>Currently, the most popular track is "Sonic Boom"
but You Can Do Anything is better
I just want them to release Mania already.
I'm cautiously optimistic about P2017 depending on what sells more will be the direction Sonic goes in but then again, how do you go from Generations to shit like Lost World?
Lost World was a Nintendo exclusive at first so it tried to copy the Mario formula with all the power ups and gimmicks and different ways to clear a stage like rolling on a snowball.
It was a guinea pig game, expect 2017 to be like Generations/Unleashed since it's releasing on consoles that matter.
it's a myth in the way that the big bang is a theory I guess
Sega remembered it enough to cease and desist the remake.
Yakuza 0 literally came out yesterday.
...
Sega's not that based since they're letting the archie comics die. THat was one of the best things the franchise ever made
If there's no audience, there's no point.
Sega's not that based since they fucked themselves out of the videogame consoles race, then the general videogames race, and now we've only got like 3 series, one of which is awful, and a bunch of rereleases and remakes to look forward to.
I mean people were reading it. There's dozens of us
They lived and learned
In a world where everyone treats gaming as a strict business without even being good at it, Sega's one of the few who at least realize that building a proper public image requires actually treating your customers nicely. It may not always be a good game, but let's be real, Sega isn't entirely to blame: There aren't too many developers worth a damn nowadays anymore.
I think Sonic 4 Ep 2 was a good game.
They just gave us naked ribbons in PSO2 so they're breddy cool in my book.
And I think you're a ginormous faggot.
But Sega has nothing to do with the Archie comics??!?
Pretty sure they had some say with the direction the comic's taken
