Not that bad of a game. Definitely more creative than FNAF and Slender. DEFINITELY more polish than your "average" indie horror game. From what I saw on Markiplier though it's kinda easy for the most part.

Yeah the whole jumpscare thing was lame. Only strength was the voice acting of the Tattletails and Mama Tail, how they sold the creepypasta thing (It was well presented with the VHS bit), and the somewhat horror-comedy angle underneath it with having to deal with a shitty furby while a monster Furby-Teddy Ruxpin monster tries to kill you.
But I personally feel Tattletail is a step in the right direction at least for indie horror, in terms of trying to add that much needed polish to sell the game more to normies, but we're still a long ways away from stuff like horror games without the jumpscare deaths and such.
But I overall have hope.

The gist is Mama is possesed by a Demon, and the other Tattletails are sentient too, but they're not assholes since they only want to have fun. Only problem is Mama just loves killing. Hence the final bit where you banish Mama's tape from this world forever. Then depending on if you gathered all the eggs or not, you'll either get Tattletail himself and his Golden never ending Flashlight, or Mama gives you a bullshit Jumpscare ending.
