Why is Spore still such a highly rated game?
I don't get it, its a fairly broken and arguably incomplete game, and yet they still sell hundreds of copies a year.
And why is it so damned addictive.

Fairly unique idea for a game I guess.
I played it quite a bit when it came out and enjoyed it, even though it didn't live up to expectations some people had of the game.
it's fun and original
Because not everyone was around for the hype and its still a million times better than No Man's Sky. With Galactic Adventures its a decent game.

Jesus Christ
I had a lot of fun with it when I was a kid, but looking at what it was supposed to be, I feel wrong going back to it
Cause milllennials don't know the hype behind it.
Is Spore the perfect imperfect game?
Or am I alone in this opinion?
Chris Hecker ruined it. Read up on team science vs team cute.
being a kid is thinking spore is a amazing game
growing up is realizing its really not that good
becoming an adult is realizing it wasnt so bad after al
Is that a lot?
For a supposed dead game from 9 years ago?
It's a fun game, can entertain you for quite some time if you enjoy the creators
People mostly think it's terrible, because what it could've been
Spore was fun, but yeah, it could have been the second coming of Christ if you see all the stuff they cut for various reasons, from logical to inane
>people born between the early 80s and the early 2000s dont know about the hype around this game released in the early 2000s
?
Because without weighing it against what it could have been it's a decent game and you can have a lot of fun fucking around in the creators.
The game was ahead of its time tbqh
Spiritual successor NEVERVER
Since games seem to have moved into this world of constant updates, DLC, and expansions, could Spore be updated?
Would a 5$ DLC pack out of no where for more creature parts potentially sell enough to get EA's attention?
Somewhere, lost inside an archive, forgotten on an HDD, lies the original Spore version that was used in presentations and demos.
Filled with basic versions of all the cool shit they promised, and the creature designed by Robin Williams.
Is it waiting for the day it is dig up and its content are turnend into the game we saw but didn't get?
Is it used by those who know about it to actually play the proto Spore, relax and dream?
Is it still functional?
Does it even exist?
We might never know.
There was Darkspore
The modding community has even brought the graphics into modern times.
Not to mention all the custom parts mods and original fanfiction story mission packs.
Huh.
Give it a few years.
And maybe Will Wright will have the last laugh
