>Indie team has Indie team has 3+ people in it = wait for it to be complete, then purchase
>Indie team has 10+ people in it and the game looks fun = buy in early access
I don't trust tiny teams. A very large majority of games being made by two-person teams are games made as a hobby by two students who only just begun their studies in programming or animation and don't have the drive or knowledge to take their product to the finish-line. There's exceptions, but very few.
I'd argue it's the other way around actually.
Yes a lot of times small dev teams are still amateurs but they usually manage to actually be creative and do what they want with their shit.
Cavestory and to a lesser extent Minecraft come to mind since in both cases it was originally just one dude behind it who did it as a hobby project.
>having such pleb taste you don't know why people play indie games
>Indie game has a demo that gives players a honest example of what the game is like.
Thanks Bastard Bonds. You're the most consumer friendly homo RPG I've ever seen.
>Artsy/"Retro" stereotypical indie game
Pirate, never buy
>Indie game by unknown developers
Pirate, buy if good
>Indie game by established high quality indie devs
Do research, buy if it seems good, pirate if unsure
Indie devs are wild cards, and while that can be a good thing, it also makes it hard to tell if the game's going to be good or not.
This would all be alleviated if we just had FUCKING DEMOS like we used to.

I'd really like to know if people just say indie games to shitpost or if they really think they are some sort of genre or something.
There are shit games and good games, who cares who and how many made them.
I have never ever bought a PC game. Not once. I don't even have a steam account. It's the main reason I don't go console: pirating is part of the gaming experience.
