If you choose to there is a category to complete the game without a single item upgrade in the game. You have to do kind of special jump maneuvers to get around the places where you'd normally need double jump, wall jump etc.

Bosses get really tough in the harder difficulties and NG+ loops.

OP has not started his thread with a good picture at all. I do however urge you to give it a shot, it's a really fun metroidvania. The amount of time you spend seeing CGs like that is minimal (and you can just skip them anyway)

this unironically is definitely up there for best game of the year objectively, it's definitely my favourite. Kinda funny how dumbass youtubers like super bunnyhop who shill so much for low budget games didn't even mention it once.
This game is far better than ANY of the "indie" games that have come out since this fad started. Better than Shovel Knight even.

well depending on how you look at it, some of them are closet lesbians while others are furious lesbians. I fail to see how that's a downside, though

It's pretty rough at start but once you learn the patterns and when to use the amulet at correct times it's very manageable.

On lower difficulties buying the buffs from town makes the game very easy. Combine with correct badges (like +Damage - Defense) and you can kill the bosses very fast so you don't need to even dodge so many attacks.

On harder difficulties the bosses have so much hp and patterns get much harder that you really need to step up your game and not get hit by anything.

Waiting the Vita version.

Supporting developers who released a genuinely good game, and who keep releasing updates for it free of any charge is a pretty good reason.

And this is coming from someone who pirates 90% of his games.

The chinese are happy to have jobs in the first place, their living standards have skyrocketed because they get to work in factories like that and they are happy for it.

If you want to discourage slave labour stop buying all the shit the US produces in their prisons ie reinvented slave camps, most of them jailed for minor offenses that shouldn't be illegal in the first place and that wouldn't lead to a prison sentence if it was a white guy caught doing it.

Give me the rundown.

Long story short. They lie. Deceive. Directly insult their audience/customers. Intentionally ruin releases/localizations. Abuse kickstarters for just about everything, and never manage to fulfil them either. They'll shill a project, and abandon it to shill another before the previous ones are even finished. They commonly cut and censor content. Even huge story segments. Replace it with nothing.
They'll collect money for one project, and instead of using it on that project they use it to purchase the licences of completely unrelated projects. Quickly throw together said licences for half assed localizations with cut content, for a quick buck since retards buy it anyway. While holding good licences hostage to ask for more money for projects other than what people even gave them money for.

And it's not just their customers they lie to and deceive. They do things like negotiate with developers and other publishers. Then they lie to their own audience about what they said, skip steps in negotiations, and even announce projects even if the negotiations were never completed and they never even got said licences. In attempts to force their hands after the news are already out.
Also related to the original developers and publishers. Whenever Sekai Project fail to deliver on their projects, which is essentially always the case, they have had a habit of blaming the original developers and or publishers rather than themselves. Knowing that they have no interpreters or anyone speaking English on their side able to deny their accusations (until one of the developers actually did get other translators to call Sekai Project on all their shit).

Actually, this didn't really become a long story short at all. But it's still only about the tip of the iceberg. Sekai Project are fucking awful and they ruin just about any licence they get their hands on. All while deceiving, lying to, and on occasion even outright insulting their customers. Fuck them.
