WD1 wasn't filled with focus-tested token characters.

The first is better. It's not perfect, but it has its own identity; unlike GTA V: Ubisoft Edition.

If you really want to get into it, I can list more faults with WD2.

Sure you can list them but I just really enjoy open world games because I find it relaxing to collect collectibles and do side-missions and activities, I 100%'d GTA V so if WD 2 is at least a bit similar to GTA V and Ubisoft's older open world games I am sold.

I think WD2 beat it by a mile and a half. Aidan at least was an angry violent asshole. I don't remember anything about Black guy.

It sold poorly because the first game was a piece of shit. It has nothing to do with the characters, and everything to do with having a bad first impression, thanks to the first title.

I bought the first game and regretted it big time. The only reason I was able to play the second is because it came free with my friend's microphone, and he didn't want to play it.

Was showing off a much better looking version of the game a mistake? Sure, but that happens with almost every game these days.

As for the issues at launch, they've been patched. There are still some very minor things wrong with it, but nothing game breaking or noticeable unless you go out of your way to find them.

During chase segments, sure. That's not the whole game.

The differences is that the cities in Watch Dogs are empty and there's nothing to do. The missions lack variety and are not designed for stealth even though the game tries to encourage it. The most honest WD2 moment is near the end when you play as Mask Guy and he goes Breivik with a rocket launcher. The wacky democracy protecting hacktivists.

I just started playing the three hour trial, it's pretty fun but definitely not worth full price, not by a long shot. It'll get boring fast just like every other open world Ubisoft game.

Well I say that, but I'm genuinely hoping the new Ghost Recon isn't traditional Ubishit. Even though I already know it is. I'm in the beta anyway so maybe I'll be proven wrong on Friday. But probably not.
