>haven't played a shooter with a semi decent story since spec ops
>see this for $7.49 and people praising the story
>do more research and apparently it's another one of those "remakes" where it casualises and fucks up shit from the original
What a waste of time, what other shooter is worth getting on the PS4?
Joseph Cruz
Holy shit, why don't you just play the games and form your own opinion on them instead of being such a manipulative monkey

This is Sup Forums. Most of the mindless monkeys here cant think for their own. No exaggeration.

nigga why would i bother playing a remake/remaster that's objectively worse than the original?
Nicholas Morales
>literally avoiding what he said youre the cancer that's killing v
Adam Rodriguez
It's not completely casualised. They do add a lot of safes to get into, which due to the ammo limits will end up being useless half the time. Also adds content here and there. Original 2033 is still better in most cases though. I'm far more worried you're using a PS4 to play it.
Tyler Russell
There's nothing wrong with the Redux's though, who tf said it's casualized?

my friends on Sup Forums

No its fucking shit
>They took out the Knife as an equipable weapon >Press E to knock out! >Removes the multi level stealth system with a binary one >The hardcore mode or whatever turns off your HUD and doesnt even let you see your ammo screen or what grenade you have equipped
Do yourself a favor and buy the original

Redux isn't bad but it was made significantly easier and more simple than the original release, e.g. just handing the equipment you need when you need it, stealth made significantly easier, enemy armor mechanic removed, etc.
It is "casualized".
Cameron Price
not him but
>removing several traps like the glass shards and trip wires >removing enemy placements and incorporating LL's babby stealth where you can hug enemies in semi lighted environments wihout them noticing a thing >babby COD knife and takedowns from LL and hit markers >laser attachments, stocks and scopes all attainable early soon as you reach Riga making exploring for weapons utterly pointless later
The OG Metro 2033 even had actual, physical armors with separated pieces like the helmet's visors, which you could shoot off with enough damage but they scrapped all that in the later versions.
Redux was a mistake
Nathan Green
Fucking dumbass OP.
Liam Scott
>Absolutely retarded AI >Stealth is fucking garbage >Shit lighting, shadows are no longer shadows (in the original 2033 you couldn't see a damn shit in the shadows) thus breaking all immersion and making stealth pointless since you can be in light as fuck area and the AI won't notice you >Absolutely retarded secondary weapon wheel, you can't quickly select grenades and in Ranger hardcore you can't see which you have selected >Press C to Throw Knives fucking really? you fucking miss enemies most of the time because it also has a stupid delay for no real reason >Enemies have no longer armor
Well, yeah it's pretty shit aside from graphics and redesigned levels.
Lucas Richardson
Oh I know about all that, i've played the redux twice along with the original. Original is definitely preferable for the most part.
Owen Clark
More people should do research like OP before buying a game instead of buying because it's cheap
Saved himself from a shitty game
Zachary Hernandez
>I'm far more worried you're using a PS4 to play it.
But redux was literally console casualised trash, this shit was made easier for them
Charles Johnson
So it's more reduction than redux? Disappointing.
Jackson Davis
Last Light Redux is fine, because the systems that casualized 2033 were already there in LL.
Standard 2033 is a must though.
Christopher Long
