Because 90% of the talent from the '90s - '00s left.
Because infune left
Inafune's responsible for the shitty rep Capcom got during Gen 7.
Come on that's not true re7 looks promising to say the least
Capcom is slowly getting back on track.
>RE7 Is great
>SF5 is way better than at launch and if you play the game enough you can buy every dlc characters with fm
>MVCI announced
>They tease the return of dormant ip for a while
>REmake2 is around the corner even if we are still waiting for more news about it
>They are probably working on DMC5 or DD2
Capcom was shit at the beginning of 2010 but they are better now.
Always wanted a full 3d megaman x elf wars game which wasn't garbage like x7
Is Capcom justified for sacking Inafune? Remember how we hated Capcom because of that?
Inafune left Capcom on his own because he thought that he had nothing more to do (ruin) in this company.
Capcom without Inafune is a great thing.
Actually, I'd rather they keep making new IPs instead of making sequels, they almost always surprise me in a good way.
RE Vendetta will be probably great too, I hope so.
I think he resigned
plus now we know better
and capcom still holds all the IPs we like.
Infaune is a hack.
>RE7 was great
>MvC:I
>DMC5 probably coming
I know Capcom has done some bad shit, but I can't hate them right now.
I can
>Capcom Vancover
Those are leafs.
>RE7 Is great
Re7 is okay at best
>SF5 is way better than at launch and if you play the game enough you can buy every dlc characters with fm
Which will take an insanely long time and is a mediocre scummy dlc practice.
>MVCI announced
Not even playable yet no reason to be excited look at SFXT
>They tease the return of dormant ip for a while
Been doing that for years
>REmake2 is around the corner even if we are still waiting for more news about it
So whats better now about an unreleased game you know nothing next to about
?
>They are probably working on DMC5 or DD2
Again your head is in the clouds, there are no teases toward anything DMC related in any official capacity.
>Capcom was shit at the beginning of 2010 but they are better now
>better now
Dead Rising 4 2016
Dead Rising 3 2013
Lost Planet 3 2013
DmC Devil May Cry 2013
Remember Me 2013
Resident Evil 6 2012
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City 2012
Street Fighter X Tekken 2012
Umbrella Corps 2016
Please never post out of your as again.
>Re7 is ok at best
I had a great time, sorry if you found it ok just your opinon senpai.
>Which will take an insanely long time and is a mediocre scummy dlc practice.
Scummy dlc practice ? Is it better if you can obtain them for free or to only have the choice to buy the dlc ? SF is a fighting game, thus it's not the most "casual" game out there. If you're into the genre, you probably won't need to buy the DLC. I bought a stage by mistake 3 days before Akuma was released and I was able to farm FM very easily to get him the next day.
>Not even playable yet no reason to be excited look at SFXT
I'm excited about games because I like game, sorry if your light is gone.
>Been doing that for years
I'll give you that
>So whats better now about an unreleased game you know nothing next to about
?
Outside of the RE4babies, RE2 is like the fan favourite and REmake is too. Just do the math, REmake 2 could be a masterpiece, it's what the fans wanted, so I'm hype
>They are probably working on DMC5 or DD2
The director is teasing on Twitter for a while, they a working on something.
Just reread what I said, half of the games you listed are from the beginning of 2010 just like I said, we are in the year of our lord 2017. And you're just shitposting
DMC Is clearly ok, not the best, not the worse
Resident evil 6 has his flaws but it's a fun game overall, just a terrible Resident evil
Asura's wrath (you forgot to shitpost about it) was a great cinematic experience too, you can find it anywhere for 15 bucks.
I don't know about Remember me but I heard that it was average as fuck so not terrible.
They're a really hit-or-miss company. When they do stupid shit they criticized for it pretty hard compared to other companies (Koei Tecmo for example, who manage to be even jewier with their DLC policy than Capcom are but have gotten no flak for it), for better or worse.
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is honestly the best thing they've put out in ages.

They say it can all be obtained in game, however the average consumer doesn't have the patience or possible skill to obtain the FM through legit means, which will point them towards spending actual money on FM. At the same time, they advertise season passes and don't tell you what you can expect as far as characters that are coming. You have to find out one by one when they feel like telling you. At that point, you already threw down 30 dollars. Colors were obtainable only through Survival, which is a joke of a mode. Their alternative? Charge FM for color packs but make it ridiculously priced that eventually, if you want to keep going, you're going to have to throw down real money.
Premium costumes? Pay one-by-one as opposed to 5 costume bundle packs they used to sell for the price of one CURRENT premium costume. Refused to pay real money for any of that.
Used one round survival, got that shit. Sold steam trading cards for premium costumes because fuck spending my actual money on that. It's borderline robbery.
Shills in full force tonight
>Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is honestly the best thing they've put out in ages.
Why would you want to buy the dlc characters if you don't want to play the game that much ? I just don't get it man. It's almost like when you had to do some shit to unlock a character in an old game.
The story mode and character's story give a lot of FM. Some easy trials give also a lot of fm. The weekly challenges give 7K-10K and are easy as fuck. The tutorials give you free FM money too. The easy survivals give you too fm.
I know people who of course play the game a lot, they bought everything with fm and they still have a few hundred K for the new season pass.
Don't blame Capcom for giving you some alternative to buy the character dlc, who care about the costumes anyway? You are blaming capcom for this while Dead or alive is like 10 times worse.
>Why would you want to buy the dlc characters if you don't want to play the game that much ? I just don't get it man. It's almost like when you had to do some shit to unlock a character in an old game.
Assumptions and bad ones at that. I play the game. I actually enjoy the game. I don't like their philosophy of minor updates like a MOBA when they don't understand how to do it properly.
>The story mode and character's story give a lot of FM...etc
Are you trying to teach me how to make easy fight money? This is braindead obvious. Easy survival is a cake walk. Normal, though annoying at times, is fine. Tell me who has the patience to take on Hard and Hell survival modes with each character because in order to unlock things later on, those modes are necessary for the fight money. Otherwise, you're just grinding for wins online or doing challenges weekly. Which is fine, but doesn't change the fact that you're setting people up to eventually HAVE to spend real money unless they play the game to some capacity on a daily basis.
>I know people who of course play the game a lot, they bought everything with fm and they still have a few hundred K for the new season pass.
I'm one of those people, however I don't buy the seasons passes because I don't like throwing my money at unknowns. Thats a symptom of the industry overall, but you can still criticize a system that's a shameless money grab when you really look at it.
>Don't blame Capcom for giving you some alternative to buy the character dlc... You are blaming capcom for this while Dead or alive is like 10 times worse.
I haven't touched a DoA game since 3, so I don't know. Alternatives are fine, but don't turn around and tell me people that you can "totally earn these for free by playing the game as is" when the system is purposely set the way it is.
I agree with you for the most part, it's just that for me since buying the dlc with real money is not the only way to get the new characters I'm pretty ok with this.
I'm not the biggest DLC hater out there. I know that it was better before, but let's accept that every company will sell you DLC and you can't do anything about it. I think that it's the first time a modern game gives you a way to experience the DLC without paying for it (just like those horrible cellphone games but I think that SF5 is more accessible than them, cellphone games are WAY WAY too grindy)
I still think than when made good, dlc can be the greatest thing, the 10 bucks I spent for the Bloodborne dlc was a good deal. I'm not saying that Capcom does great DLC, just that for SF it's not the worse way possible.
Honestly my issues with things would be better if they communicated a bit more often. In order for these "small, more frequent" updates to work, there needs to be some community presence. As of now, we've heard nothing since capcom cup and the anniversary of the game is creeping up. And even then they may say somethings soon, but waiting until the last minute every time is an issue. That's how you get "May update in August" jokes and how you get people uninterested in the game, slowly but surely.
It's effort that I don't see them putting in. When SSFIV was on it's way to release, this was done so much better in a time when they were limited more to blog updates on their own site. We have social fucking media today and the only thing you hear is "we have server issues, expect an update in spring." T-thanks capcom.
ON-DISC DLC
>why capcom is shit
- MvC3 was a cash job.
- DmC was created for no real reason considering that DMC4 is thir best DMC game.
- Lost Planet lost it's way due to western market influence. See: LP3
- On disk DLC
- Resident Evil is an action adventure game (that newer players enjoy)
- Resident Evil 7 isn't an action game nor a classic Resident Evil game
- Capcom vs SNK 3 isn't out or in production
- There will never be a Power Stone 3 although Smash Bros is a thing
- They killed Clover
- See: Megaman
- They wont release a Monster Hunter game on next generation consoles. (But you can play MHO on PC)
+ Itsuno is still Itsuno and the last remnant at Capcom.
- Everyone else got fucked hard.
inafune ws the reason they went full retard on previous gen. Only now they are trying to get back but I still fucking up in the game department. i fear for DMC5
>Always wanted a full 3d megaman x elf wars game which wasn't garbage like x7
> Mega Man revival...
SOON
Why is Japanese media so ADD?
>i fear for DMC5
How do you fear what not exist?
i fear fo them toning down the gameplay. Dead Rising 4 is shit because they toned down the gamepla same for SF5. RE7 is even more simple than 5 and 6.. now stop being such entitled fuck. you can say it not in production either
>why capcom is shit
Because they outsorcing to west. Games that are confirmed dead as a result
>Bionic Commando
>Dark Void
>Lost Planet 3
Only metter of time when Dead Rising will apear on that list
Itsuno has never went in such a direction. You're retarded.
he will if execs force him tho.
>- Capcom vs SNK 3 isn't out or in production
Just ask for for a Capcom All-Stars game instead. It was mostly only the Capcom characters that were any fun to play in CvS2 anyway.
I don't care about Lost Planet 3 because I never liked that much the IP even if the first one was fine.
But dude, Bionic Commando was the shit. That awesome arcade remake, the great 2009 full game. Too bad it flopped but both games were awesome. Rearmed 2 was terrible thought
Dark void was a good concept at first, Tesla, the jetpack, a game where you could fly all the time, that AWESOME soundtrack. It's such a disaster that the game is so mediocre.
Resi 7 is a generic western horror fps with the dumb headsets and little replay value
Where's Viewtiful Joe 3
God Hand 2 when
DmC fucked with dmc series and DMC4SE adding nothing apart from characters is worrying
Dead Rising 4 can fuck off
MVCI looks bad
SF5 isn't done which is fair but it's bad right now
Where's Megaman
Asura still needs to be in a good game
Not really
This. Also okami
>generic
The most overused and meaningless word in history.
Capcom actually made good hardware.
They'll only get back to what they were if they go Japanese only again
I just played through Shadow over Mystara last night?
What went so fucking wrong Capcom? How did you go from making shit with so much heart put into it to fucking SFV
>SF5 is way better than at launch and if you play the game enough you can buy every dlc characters with fm
In terms of content maybe but things like the DP changes show that they are more interested in catering to the lowest common denominator than creating a good game. They made changes like that because of whining but completely ignored the much greater issues with the game, with Season 2 sharing most of the same issues of Season 1, just swapping around which character's turn it is to be good.
Negan?
>Two Thousand and Seventeen
>Still no Power Stone 3
>Still no Tech romancer 2
>Still no Rival Schools 3
>Not even another Vs. SNK
What a horrible dimension
>- Capcom vs SNK 3 isn't out or in production
It already happened years ago
Reminder: weekly challenges make an average of 6000 FM a week, you should be able to get 4 characters from that alone a year
If you're going that far, you can say that SvC Chaos is actually CvS5
>4 characters
>per year
>assuming you play every week
wow so generous
Not even every week, it barely takes 2 hours to complete the weekly challenges.
Why are you pretending like you know
I read somewhere that the deal was that both companies could make 3 crossover games. SNK did 3, but Capcom only 2.
I played RE7 on Youtube (as in: watched) and got the full experience. Under 10 hours too.
Capcom is doing pretty good outside of how they are handling SFV.
In fact, they are handling this game so badly that it's even splashing to the company as a whole.
>RE7
Under 10 hours, got full experience from YT playthrough.
>SFV
Don't you dare call this trainwreck disasterfuck a success.
>MVC
Who fucking cares, 3 sucked ass anyway.
>Dormant IP
Capcom rapes another classic series, yayyyy.
>REmake 2
Aside from the fact that you are actually, seriously praising a remake, we've heard nothing.
>DMC5
Speculation on if they're even working on it, but how can we really trust them to do a good job anymore? And is this really the shining light in the future for Capcom? Is that how low the standards have dropped?
>3 sucked ass
If 3 sucked, then the rest of the series does as well
No, 1 and 2 were good
They aren't significantly better than 3 in any way
How were they better
It should have been FTP like KI
Poor gameplay, over-reliance on flashy effects, no substance
>MSP and Santhax: The Game is better than UMvC3
You aren't proving why the gameplay is poor compared to the other 2
Because capcom spent a fortune on advertising contract with youtuber instead of puting it into the game
It honestly is and I'm another poster
>Under 10 hours
And MGSV is 60 hours and people STILL have something to complain about.
Length=/= quality, this argument is so flawed even children can see through it, contrarian retard.
youtube.com
Cumon now Capcom you know you want to
