I'll give it a go if there are PVE servers but ARK and Rust have proven that getting ass fucked 24/7 and having to grind materials just to make up for your losses when you log in is just not fun.

I love the Conan IP, but there's nothing to do. Nothing to explore. Nothing to build or research. It's just a sandbox where you can walk around and hit things. If it actually had content, I would've bought it.

I love Conan as much as the next guy but I just don't feel this game at all. It looks like a generic open world survival game to cash in on this retarded fad. Being early access just like every other unfinished piece of shit doesn't make it any better.

Are there plans to make the combat good or even decent?

Right now it looks like a whole lot of m1 spamming and backpedaling. The characters clip into each other, their attack animations are abrupt and awkward and overall the combat looks and feels like a floaty mess. It's the only thing that's keeping me from buying the game day one.

How do servers work? Can we host them ourselves or do we have to pay for them?

Post proof? Why would a community manager bother with a Sup Forums board of all places.

There are currently no plans to make combat decent. We're using Unreal Engine instead of writing an in-house engine that actually suits the technical needs of the game, and that places limitations of what can be implemented well. Parry-based combat just wouldn't work out

It's pay2play. There are no persistent characters and you can even start your own server, so there's no point in selling boosters, or items.

The game will launch into Early Access on Tuesday with an initial price of $29.99. Progression is specific to each server, so there will not be any sort of "pay2win" micro-transactions. Because they're on their last financial pegs. A Rust-like game doesn't cost much to create, because you just create the basic gameplay with minimal assets and no content, then call it an "open world survival multiplayer game". I honestly would've just prefered another Conan mmorpg.
