not him, but for me there's basically 2 reasons to watch streams:
>I can just leave them on in the background while doing other stuff at the same time. If you play a game you're basically locked out of any other stuff while you do it (doing stuff on your phone/internet/Sup Forums/cooking/sorting your laundry...).
>It requires way less focus. If I come home from a 10h workday it's easier to stretch out on the couch and watch someone play instead of doing the work yourself.
In my personal opinion, Lirik is good to watch. No facecam, plays most new games, has a better idea about himself then some other streamers and is pretty entertaining.

The movies or shows I download aren't that many. I'm not saying it should be the preferred way to spend your time for everyone, but for me it fits kind of okay.

I watch a few Osu! streamers that don't facecam and don't do the whole "Biggest D" Twitch overlay formula. Mainly because I can have it on the background and if a song or rhythm catches my ear I can go download the map to play later.
The other times are if a guildie if having a problem clearing some content that I've cleared. I can watch them and help them out if they need it by explaining shit.
That's really the only decent argument I can make for Twitch.

Sometimes I like a game so much I play it to death. Sometimes I wish really hard I could erase all my memories of it and play it again fresh. Since that's not possible the next best thing is watching people who never played it before have their first time go at it and see how they react differently or similarly to me during certain segments.
