Who's gonna buy this at holidays?
>Better deals

I feel bad for the fags who pre-ordered one.

>Better deals
>Bundles
etc
I feel bad for the fags who pre-ordered one.
Don't feel bad for them. They did it willingly.
I'll buy one as soon as piracy is a thing on it.
>Mfw sold out till 2018
Gonna buy it at ebay for $120 max.
I preordered once, and will be happy playing zelda at launch on the go
I dont have much time for gaming now i have a job, but have no problem with dropping £280 to play nintendo games on my commute
I cant imagine a scenario in which people wouldnt want a switch outside of
>Im poor
or
>I dont like nintendo games
And in either of them circumstances, you probably should get one
I'm only slightly ashamed to admit that I'm a Nintendrone who will buy almost anything they toss out into the wild, not to mention being burnt time and again by shortages on shit like Amiibo and the NES Classic really make me feel great that I managed to land a Switch preorder so I can try to enjoy it at launch.
*shouldnt
get one
if you cant afford it, dont buy it
ez
>people who don't like Nintendo games should get a Switch
It's a fucking Nintendo system. No third parties are going to support it in any substantial form
I don't see Nintendo making a Odyssey bundle for Christmas.
i meant shouldnt, if you cant afford it or dont like nintendo games, just walk away.
I'll get one when there are 5 exclusive games worth getting
I'll be waiting for a very long time.
going to wait for the Switch lite
i'm going to wait until 2025 to buy one
I won't buy it until it gets monster hunter.
I bought a 3ds when 3U came out on it.
I'm buying it the moment Splatoon 2 comes out. BOTW, I'll get it for Wii U and buy the Switch version later for replay.
I preordered it because target mispriced it at $200 for a little bit. I'm taking advantage of that yo.
>won't be able to play the definitive version of BotW until Christmas
>nor ARMS
>nor Splatoon 2
I feel bad for you.
Gonna get it on day one with Zelda for a total of 350€, and a bonus 60€ coupon. I don't think I'll get a better deal anytime soon.
I'm an idort anyway, I'll just play PC or PS4 games when there's nothing new to play on Switch.
Why would you feel bad that I'm not poor enough that a potential price drop or bundle isn't worth waiting almost a year to play the Switch?
>Saving $100 is worth waiting 9 months for when I want to play Zelda
Sorry but I'm not poor
i'll wait for the inevitable New Switch with better hardware and most of the kinks fixed
>waiting 2 to 3 years to play BotW and Mario Odyssey
Oh wow, waiting 9 months to play a shitty Wii U port isn't a problem for me
It's even funnier because people will be playing the best superior version on PC (CEMU)
>nor ARMS
Yeah, and wasting lots of dollars on joycons, nah. The game looks mediocre at best
>nor Splatoon 2
You're a kid now! You're a squid now! I'll still be able to play it on my Wii U.
i dont care about mario and zelda alone isnt worth buying the console for
It was worth it buying at launch from my point of view. I'll want it anyway, I couldn't remember the last time I turned on my wii u so I sold it and it's stuff and payed for the switch. Yeah I could play Zelda on the wii u but not the new mario, new fire emblem new everything so keeping the wii u instead made no sense
I'm hyped though. There's a lot of negativy about the switch on Sup Forums but I'm hyped as fuck
>wasting lots of dollars on joycons
? If you're talking about local multiplayer you only have to buy a pack of 2 joycons. So, like every other console ever.
>I'll still be able to play it on my Wii U.
Enjoy your dead online.
>Yeah I could play Zelda on the wii u but not the new mario, new fire emblem new everything so keeping the wii u instead made no sense
Erm, and why don't just wait until those games are out?
>? If you're talking about local multiplayer you only have to buy a pack of 2 joycons
Yeah and those things are expensive as fuck, inb4 someone call me poor
>Enjoy your dead online.
Ninty isn't gonna close online services on Wii U anytime soon, it would be a cunt move, i am expecting them to do it next year but not this one.
Because in either scenario I'm playing nothing. Might as well wait around with a switch instead of waiting around with a wii u that couldn't play those game when they come out
ARMS can be played with traditional controls and I'd bet it can be played with just 1 joycon
It's not like they are going to expire like multiplayer games. Are you afraid of spoilers for fucking Mario and Zelda?
>Yeah and those things are expensive as fuck
Yes, they are. But controllers being ridiculously expensive is nothing new anyway, and the game doesn't come out until May or so, so by then it won't feel like such a big deal anymore.
>Ninty isn't gonna close online services on Wii U anytime soon
Of course they won't, but most of the players will flock to the Switch as soon as it's out.
>and I'd bet it can be played with just 1 joycon
Doubt it, it looks like you need the 2 joycons, although i might be wrong.
>Of course they won't, but most of the players will flock to the Switch as soon as it's out.
Eh i don't think so, i guess that you will still be able to find players for a while, anyway, only Japs play Splatoon online.
How are you supposed to parry with one joycon? If you could use a single one you'd bet Nintendo would advertise it.
>can't imagine a scenario where...
Maybe because people buy things based on value instead of whether they can afford it or not
And maybe a tech demo, a Zelda game also on wii u, and a few lite titles aren't enough value.
This.
The thing that makes the most sense for that is to use both sticks for punching. Though I guess it'd be completely possible to get an intermediate solution between only buttons or only motion controls and use the stick to move, the buttons to punch and block AND the gyro to curve your punches.
I'm waiting for the first bundle, whenever that may be, because Zelda will almost certainly be emulatable and I'm not in any big rush to play ports.
Waiting for Bomberman is disappointing though.
>emulating the bad version of the game of the century
i preordered one for me and will most likely buy another one on the holidays
>Ninty isn't gonna close online services on Wii U anytime soon
They'll close it down as soon as the Switch online becomes paid because they'll want that sweet cash
Well you're going to have to wait a few years then buddy.
>most of the players will flock to the Switch as soon as it's out.
Not really true, half of the Switch's games in its first year are Wii U ports
I bet the traditional controls will be inferior like in Splatoon. The joycons will probably have more accurate aiming.
value only matters if your poor, if you want to play zelda and can afford it, you will.
ITT: salty whiny babies living with their parents that want the new nintendo console but cant afford it
>the bad version
Switch pros:
>better resolution
Wii U pros:
>Map and inventory on gamepad
Wii U version is superior
Why are you treating Zelda as an exclusive? It's on PC and Wii U y'know?
But it will be the 1440p version rather than the 900p version.
Wouldn't the people living with their parents be more likely to buy it with their parents' money?
I don't think there will be a good deal or bundle year one though. Maybe next year.
Wouldnt you want to have the v1.0 of firmware for that.
>some of us will be dead by xmas 2017
Got mine pre-ordered, pretty damn excited. :^] don't kill yourself over it, kiddo.
if you weren't retarded you would realize that 300$ is crazy cheap for the switch, you are buying a console and a handheld at the same time, it has motion controls, gyro controls, frontal sensors, HD rumble (which apparently is more important than what we thought), an HD touchscreen and 2 fucking controllers. If you have the balls to say that this is too costly then you are either too poor to actually think about videogames and you should think about your food shortages this month or you are a blatant shitposter.
I would, but I'm a massive Zeldafag and I seriously doubt there's going to be a price cut one year in.
