It's all or nothing now
How much are Nintendo sweating right now?
It's all or nothing now
How much are Nintendo sweating right now?
They'll be fine and pull through like they always have.
I bet they're pretty confident with how they're pushing it. That said, they definitely seem like they going all in on this one.
I really hope they announce the new Animal Crossing asap. Probably with a mobile direct after Fire Emblem this spring.
Nintendo will be fine because their fags will buy it
Zelda games print money no matter what.
Motherfucking Skyward Sword sold over 3 million units.
I think that it's sales will surprise some people.
Nintendo is marketing it heavely on Europe and Russia (TV ads, exclusive interviews to European media, Aonuma even learned a bit of Russian to comunicate better with the ruskies).
Nintendo always had bad penetration on Europe, and it's nice to see they make something that isn't just a token effort.
It'll sell more than SS, that's for sure. Might sell more than 10 million if it's extremely good.
I've really grown to like the blue clothes
In my easter european shithole it means fuckall because all retailers flat out ignore the MSRP and ask $384 just for the fucking console.
They probably shit their pants from their nerve wreckage by now.
A lot less than Sony with their shit PS4 pro and PSVR sales.
Where does Link get the blue shirt from? Why is he always using that same wooden shield in the promo images?
Aonuma is really confident.
And Nintendo too, since they really want him to do his own new IP.
Aonuma doing a new IP would be very interesting
Then let Koizumi do the next Zelda, or have him create a new IP too
They've shown hundreds of hours of gameplay at this point, I'd say they have full trust in the game.
I would rather have Tezuka to make a Zelda game.
He wants to do a stealth game IIRC
Have Koizumi create DLC for Zelda in the same way they did Majora's Mask: you have 1 year to create a new Zelda using the same engine and assets
IMAGINE THE BASEDNESS
You know he already had MM in development as another game before changing it into Zelda, right?
Also, MM's dungeons are all Aonuma*.
*I don't like his game that much, but dude is a great dungeon designer
They should the same for all their big releases. MM and Galaxy 2 are two of the best games ever made.
>tfw BotW-esque ocean exploration game
I'm aware of this but Koizumi's influence on the game is undeniable. I don't really care who makes it I just wish they let someone else do Zelda and let Aonuma do whatever he wants.
>their customers buy their things
what a truly groundbreaking observation
Its the only big game theyve been working on for years. They arent sweating at all.
>what are the Wii U, the Virtual Boy, Star Fox Zero, the last few Paper Mario games, etc
People, in fact, don't buy anything with Nintendo's name on it,
>the last few Paper Mario games
Sticker Star was very successful, only Color Splash flopped.
Considering their pre order numbers I doubt they are feeling any stress at all right now
>Its the only big game theyve been working on for years
what about super mario odyssey. and arms is a pretty risky new IP
I think he was talking about development costs and team size.
BotW is the biggest game they ever made, with budgets and team size comparable to western AAA games.
>their brain dead and mindless fans will eat up any thing nintendo shits out, regardless if it is good or not
ftfy
demonstrably untrue
Yeah, just look at what a success story Star Fox Zero wa-
N-No! you stupid doody head!
Nintendo will ALWAYS survive! even if the game is bad!
*goes poopoo in diaper*
This game will be remembered a the Resident Evil 6 of Nintendo
Their offices are flooded with sweat right now. They know zelda isn't normally a console pusher, so they are making a huge gamble with this game being the only worth while game till Mario Odyssey. If this game doesn't get asses in the seats, it's game over. They will have wasted their first 8 months on the market, which is basically a death knell for a system. The only thing they could do at that point is try discontinuing the 3DS and running the gamble of their being only 1 Nintendo console to play pokemon, mario, zelda, and all the other nintendo games on.
>Nintendo
>nervous about BotW
I bet they're pretty confident with this game
I would be nervous about the Switch initial sales
Are you kidding. This game is going to outsell SS by a wise margin.
Get those cocks out of your mouth, i can't tell what you're trying to say
That's pretty poor for a console that sold 100 million units (3% purchase rate). Most Wii U exclusives, on the other hand, have at least a 20% purchase rate, with some going up to 80% (Mario Kart 8).
With what exactly were the WiiU exclusives competing with?
Will it though? Skyward Sword was on a system that sold 100 million units. The only reason why it might sell a lot better (if Switches fly off the shelf) is due to no other good Switch games coming til the summer.
SS was released on the Wii's death bed, after everyone either had moved away or hacked it.
It's also a bad game.
Look at TP sales (85% of it's sales were on the Wii btw).
SS didn't sell that well due to being incredibly shit
Is nobody gonna take my bait?
Maybe i should have worded it differently
Well, they will. If gaming is no longer profitable for them they'll change their business. I actually admire Nintendo's flexibility and wonder sometimes what would happen if Nintendo dropped out of gaming. Also, why am I responding seriously to a shitpost?
What was SS competing with? While games were coming out on the wii, besides 1st parties, it was all shovelware that no one was buying.
i didn't quite understand what you were getting at
>Skyward Sword
>incredibly shit
Did he do dungeon design in ww ana tp? I never understood how they went from the water temple, the forest temple and all mm dungeons to the kiddie shit ww dungeons
Nintendo's RE6 already happened, that's why
See and
Uh yeah..? This isn't even new information
He did all dungeons from Ocarina onwards.
WW is a very rushed game. More than half of the content was cut.
Part of it's planned dungeons were reused in TP
BotW has a metric fuckliad of hype behind it. It's drawing in people who don't typically play Zelda games.
Even tp had very simple and straightforward dungeons compared to mm and oot
WHEN'S THE NEXT WAVE OF PREORDERS, OR AM I FUCKED UNTIL ACTUAL LAUNCH?
The Water Temple in particular (but other OoT dungeons) recieved plenty of critics at the time.
Probably why they changed
It took 47 posts until an image was posted.
Really makes you think.
you're fucked until launch
Enjoy buying from a scalper goy.
I've scrutinized those two statements and find no faults when used in conjunction with one another. It checks out Captain.
I already have to pay 500+ maple syrup chips for an underpowered Zelda machine. Can't a leaf know any peace?
get a cheap wii u if you really need to play it on 3rd march
It's a shame it did, it's the best dungeon in the series (3d at least) for me.
You actually have to understand the entire dungeon to beat it, it isn't just go in this room, go this puzzle, go to the next room. I hope at least 1 dungeon in botw matches it's complexity
That's wrong though.
source?
That's a good thing
Once upon a time reaction images were actually banned on Sup Forums
>s-stop posting images on my image board
