Microsoft has the best 4K Blu ray (slim xb1), 360 had a good life cycle with great games, original xbox was the shit.
Sony well uhm, the PS2 was a fucking blast and actually offered variety and amazing exclusives. PS1 was no exception.
Nintendo, well, they finally got rid of the dumb region lock. Anything before gamecube was a mine of gold.

People will defend it by saying it's been a thing forever but those people weren't around to notice the huge differences between now and then with how it's done. Only company that makes the games themselves, and they usually do it really fucking well. Always trying to push unique hardware to make sure console gaming doesn't die and to make games more interesting. Their controllers are the 2nd most ergonomic in the business and most of the time have some cool tech about them the other companies don't have. The only company still trying to push couch co-op gameplay and even built it directly into the Switch's design.
