>You can name your character
>All official media already has a name for them
You can name your character
>You have to name your character
>There is no default option and you can't submit a blank field
>No official media has any name for them
This or everything in game refers to you as your title.
>You have to name yourself
>Game character refers to you by name with voice
>name your character!
>name your love interest!
>name your dog!
>name your town!
>name your best friend!
>name this random warrior guy!
>name this tree!
>no default names for ANY of them
>you can name your character
>you cannot name your gender
its already 2017 why do we still have this problem?
>Name your character
>Game can't be "completed" if you don't name them the right thing
Always thought that was retarded.
>game names character after you
>you never told it your name
Really? That sounds interesting.
>Character names are one per person.
>Name your character
>Give your character a nickname
WHAT IS THE FUCKING NICKNAME FOR
>Game asks you to put in the name of the player
>"please forget that we asked for your name"
>make your nickname the same as your name
>everyone in the game has a last name
>if you try to give your character a last name every NPC will call them by their full name every time like an autist
it's from Undertale
>Every character's name is in all uppercase in case you forgot to make yours lower cased with one capital letter
>You didn't
Oh. The point was to name your character something other than Frisk or Chara. Toby even said that people should name the character after their real name for the '''''best''''' story capability.
Undertale never did that. You can get any of the endings as long as you don't name them Frisk because it activates "hard" mode
>can name your character
>never used again except for on your stats/equipment screen
>CURSE YOU...ZELDA!
>CURSE YOU...SAGES!!
>CURSE YOU...Link!
>game lets you name your character
>says it's wrong and enters in the character's real name
>Characters names are said in either full capitals or normally depending on the situation
>If you name any of the characters it'll always have whatever capitalization you put them with instead of being context sensitive
Why? Do you want everyone to just stick to "the protagonist" or "the player character"?
>you can give your character a first name but it's completely meaningless
I should have just named him Cockbutt.
This is actually the best. I love it when a game shits on its players like that.
>You can name your character
>"Official" name is too long for namefield
if that was your attempt of making me creative, they failed. Minato Arisa and Yu Naruka.
Why is his name "Crono"? You'd think "Chrono" would be fine.
Isn't that just because nips use less characters for their names?
Oh it's that chickenchaser
>game asks for a name at the start
>it's not actually the name of your character
>Minato Arisato
>Canon name
>ZOOSMELL POOPLORD
>playing undertale
I thought we all agreed to never reference Homestuck again.
Name 3 (three) games available in the west that do this.
I'm just here for the (You)'s
>Party member's name is in all uppercase in the menu
>Party member's name is properly written with lowercase in dialogue boxes
>No matter how you name your playable character, it will be inconsistent in some way
Fucking Secret of Mana.
>game lets you name character
>call it something obscene like " you semen sniffing nigger faggot "
>giggle like a ten year old when referred to
Every time.
And by Secret of Mana I mean Legend of Mana.
King Douchebag.
>Minato Arisato
It's Makoto Yuki, you idiot.
The worst is that the game is like that because you can fit the name without problems if you write it in japanese but devs didn't cared for the west.
I can name one at least: Fallout 4 Codsworth calls you by name
