>tfw I used to make huge wars between AI players in the AoEII editor and enjoyed seeing the bots fighting
>tfw few games will let me do that
I can't be the only one that enjoy seeing bots versus bots, right?
>tfw I used to make huge wars between AI players in the AoEII editor and enjoyed seeing the bots fighting
>tfw few games will let me do that
I can't be the only one that enjoy seeing bots versus bots, right?
Watching bot fights is no different from animal fights or ant fights.
Why the fuck do you think that the DBZ Tenkaichi 3 AI tournaments are so popular?
I sometimes made SSBM CPUs fight each other.
i used to do the same thing
i used to make huge cities and then have war elephants attack them and shit
AOE II was goat
Anyone have the screencap of the story of the Quake bots that became so intelligent they achieved peace?
>Mario Party will never allow 4 CPUs again
>no more new Mario Retardy games
Unfortunately that story was proven false.
Here you go.
What
Explain
AI quake bots can't do that if you know a little bit about AI.
>Why the fuck do you think that the DBZ Tenkaichi 3 AI tournaments are so popular?
When is the next one
It already smelled pretty fishy. Artificial neural networks in 1999? A server running for 4 years straight with no resets?
The Quake bots literally can't do that, and the claim about bot filesize alone is bullshit because Quake 2 has a RAM limit of 2GB that can't be circumvented.
This isn't even the original pasta, it's some fag that read the pasta and tried to roleplay it on Sup Forums. Gayyyyyyyy.
I love games that allow you to watch computers playing against each other. In Smash Brothers I would often just watch two AIs compete.
I used to set up Mario and Luigi AI in a match but on really easy so they didn't fight that hard and talk to them and rpetend they were my parents
I'm sad now
...
Quake 3* obviously typo.
get a better bullshit detector user, you should know better than to believe dumb stories you read on here
>They were my parents
kek motherfucker
I know nothing about bots so it seemed more believable to me that someone could set that up
I usually don't
Are there games, where you design AI's to fight against other designed AI's?
This could get a lot of people into programming
Now that you mention, It would be interesting something like FFXII gameplay system where users can pseudocode the party AI and let two parties fight each other.
AI can't think like humans, they lack a soul.
they can't understand having a purpose and only care about archieving their goal.
Carnage Heart for the PS1.
>berserk darts in AC4 / Rogue
>always getting "assassinate with bring seen" because I would just make their allies kill the target
>AI can't think like humans, they lack a soul.
Love doing this shit, just shot random guard and sit around watching all the chaos and stupidity.
how about C&C? does it let you do this?
kek
would a virtual gf make money?
Actually servers have this kind of uptime.
Unless, you think about amount of logs he supposedly generated.
Neural network is just an algorithm that is fairly old. We finally get computors capable to handle it.
>fed up with tiny civil war in Skyrim
>blame consoles for "wars" being 10v10 at most
>spawn in 200 each side
>AI shits the bed because it doesn't how know to sensibly fight on this scale
>groups of 5-6 soldiers just clumping around a random enemy soldier taking turns whacking him once
>soldiers too far back to hit enemies with their swords just pull their bow out and mostly shoot their teammates in the back
>Kingdom under fire: The Crusaders for the Xbox could have more than 500 guys on screen at once and had no problems.
>Fucking Kameo, a launch title for the Xbox 360 had a massive war going on all over the overworld map.
>Skyrim has 20 guys fighting during the "War" and people call it "epic".
