Should I play SR 2 or 3?
Should I play SR 2 or 3?
2 is a much better game, but the PC port is pretty bad unless you're using the Gentlemen of the Row mod to fix some of its issues. If you're playing a console version, definitely 2.
What's wrong with the PC version? Mouse support is fucked like in Dark Souls?
neither, whole series is fucked.
Your mother is fucked SR offers more customization than GTA and doesn't have no fun allowed omnipotent cops.
The main thing is the streaming in of stuff while you're driving. The game has very brokenly high system requirements even on 2017 hardware and it's much more noticeable and stutter-y if you're in some of the faster cars/planes in the game.
GOTR fixes some of it but it's still noticeably bad for most people. SR3 and SR4 are both very good PC ports for the most part, though 4 has some current issues with the newest patch that added Steam workshop stuff to it.
Both.
3 is fine, and don't believe anybody that tells you it's shit
...
It's what I wanted GTAV to be.
>What's wrong with the PC version
lots of bullshit crashes and glitches that makes the game look like a title that had a nonexistant QA
My main problems were:
>Objects and characters in cutscenes would get misaligned because I play in widescreen
>My game would crash everytime I got in a car though the passenger door (can be countered without mods by teleporting into the car by getting in while on the hood or roof)
Also, the vanilla keyboard bindings are atrocious (stuff like aiming by holding the middle mouse button or items that need you to press both Q and an arrow to be selected), but one you've binded them yourself, it plays fairly well.
Haven't tried mods, but this one seems allright
3 is fine, but like Modern Warfare 2 did to COD, it was the great groundbreaking game that threw the franchise down a spiral of clusterfuck.
4 has fun gameplay for a while, but as a title in the series, it's absolutely insulting
2 is good, but 3 is just more fun overall. Stay away from 4.
4 is fucking great if you just want to have fun. I like how they went their own batshit crazy direction instead of trying to complete with GTA.
Main problems are reusing the same city again, it's just too fucking easy, and that all the side missions are just the regular minigames.
4 was supposed to be a DLC, but after they got a new publisher after THQ shit the bed they demanded that it should be a full game.
4 is better than 3.
It's worse if you're a car fag.
>SR
Meh game, essential if you really like the story of the second one and want to spice up the drama in the story of the first 2.
>SR2
Start there, great game with amazing pacing, polished what the first one did and pushed the boundaries further
>SR3
Better fun factor than SR2, but arguably a worse game with a pacing that goes all over the place.
>SR4
Doesn't belong in the series, gameplay is fun for a couple of hours, but it's VERY repetitive essentialy the ADHD filled bastard son of Crackdown and The Trouble With Clones
Worth it if you don't care about the story, it has its little quirks, it is poorly written with so many missed opportunities. Also a goddamn Anthony Burch DLC, what the fuck, seriously
nah they overdid it in 4
I would usually start out most of the missions driving. May as well roll up in style.
Not him but I kind of like that they overdid it, may as well go full retard. I just wish enemies were a threat.
>4 was supposed to be a DLC
It shouldn't have been a full game either
If it was a standalone spinoff it would have been great
Even worse if you're a gunfag
>SR3
>Weak selection of guns
>No visual customisation
>Guns are backward ass cartoon shit made from the groundup by noguns libs
>SR4
>Guns are meh looking, but still miles ahead of what we got in SR3
>You can customised them visually
>DECKARD'S BLASTER HOLY FUCKING SHIT
>ROBOCOP'S AUTO 9 I'M GOING TO CUM
>Customisation is more complete
>Oh sorry all the guns are 100% obsolete thanks to the fucking superpowers
Saints Row 2 is a poor's man GTA. 3 at least has an identity.
>Saints Row's story
>Saints Row II's clothes customisation and missions
>Saints Row III's gameplay and vehicle customisation
>Saints Row IV's gun customisation
>No fucking superpowers and no shitty memes unless it's on a rogue standalone DLC for under 10 bucks
>All wacky clothes and vehicles special rewards and no DLC
>Also downgradable perks and upgrades
Perfect Saints Row, prove me wrong
It's the same 5 missions over and over in a shit city. At least SR4 has superpowers to alleviate the blow.
