I never played the original TCG, I gave up the addiction when I spent my first paycheck ever on a box of Magic cards and realized I was wasting my money, time, and life, but I picked up the mobile game because those things are in abundance now. How much of a grind is stage 20 to 21? I'm at 17.

i played for a bit and had to spend like 600 dollers to relise this isnt fun and you have to play the way kuntnami wants you to play not they way you want to.
had a realy nice galaxy/shaddol deck and it did well online, come to the locals and its jut nekroz everywhere

I like back then when 3000 atk was kind of an upper ceiling. A card had to really deserve to have an atk equal or higher than that, it being the amount blue eyes had. Now anybody and their mothers have 4000 atk

I remember being able to get ludicrous amounts of attack on this guy with all the Spell Counters I could accrue, and that's only if my Tempest Magician OTK didn't work out.

I fucking loved Spell Counters.

Do they still work in the current meta?

Xyz's require same levels, and most of them requires 2 monsters, while some requires more, and some requires specific monsters, and some can Xyz by using only one material

They made cards like Rescue Rabbit viable

Xyz is generally 2 monsters of the same level to summon an Xyz of equal rank.

because makespecters are pendlum monsters, and they go to the extra deck intead of the graveyeard, so you can just special summon the tributed monster if you have the right scales. plus penguin solider needs to be flipped up which kinda slow compared penguin solider

I didn't stop liking it. I stopped playing it, then tried to get back into it much later and it's an ass game that is an embarrassing shell of what it used to be.

Most of the fun Xyzs (Zenmaity, Exciton, Shock Master, Lavalval Chain) are banned, so they're not that broken anymore.

If anything, a lot of top decks right now (D/Ds, ABCs, Metalfoes) Fusion Summon in some way.

I just started playing Legacy of the Duelist again and it's pretty fun, but it's so hard to get good cards. Those damn booster packs are so random.

Exciton does the same, along with exciton not sending cards in the hand to the grave idiot.

If there's a character that uses cards you want, you can at least grind against them, and they'll never give you repeats once you get 3 of a card.

No but I could in theory replace him for Pearl since the equips would still trigger on him and I could pull him out if I used Painful Decision instead of Unexpected Dai to dump one, normal summoned the card I searched and then instant fusion for Norden and then do a threeway XYZ with them

It used to be that normals are powerful while effects are weak but useful. Then a bunch of power creep happened. Some cards are built around normals like pic related. But even then these cards didn't work well and Konami gave up completely. The only once I've ever seen in the last few years are Blue Eyes and Dark Magician but even then their just conduits for other cards.
