Pointless gimmicks like refueling

>pointless gimmicks like refueling
>unresponsive controls & prompts, poor movement control of noctis
>they mapped 'interact' to X so you keep jumping instead of getting shit done
>pure tedium of sidequests and backtracking
>constantly having to backtrack to do hunts, one at a time
>terrible party AI & tuning, gladio was the only useful party
>the 'contemporary' aesthetic just felt lifeless & awkward, felt like i was in an industrial park half the game
>empire did not feel like a threat

am I missing anything

Did you rike it?

>my dog could write a better story by smearing shit on the wall

>finish the game
>get a landslide of great items

Aside from the unresponsive controls, I agree with everything on that list. Also
>Awesome story setup by movie and anime ruined by poor pacing
>Random characters that show up and are expected to receive instant sympathy from the player
>All story scenes feel like random cutscenes just slapped together
>Seriously, one fucking hunt at a time is the worst decision ever

It's great.

All of that and it's still didn't top VIII and XIII as the worst game in the series.

8 is the best, but only for sexhavers such as myself.

FF8 Hater (virgin) Humiliation count: 367 virgins humiliated for their bitterness

Lay count: 27 women laid in three years. Seven years until settle down age.

>fetch the blue orb quest number 126
Fuck this game

I took this screenshot when I first got the game, anyone else able to recreate the orange hair thing or is my PS4 dying

FF8 had entertaining side content and plenty of character customization.

FF13 had flashy graphics that worked and a camera that didn't obscure everything every two seconds. FF13 also had one interesting character -- one more than what 15 had.

They're both still absolute shitfests in the plot development, but at least 8 and 13 attempt to tell a story. FF15 just desperately throws setpieces at you constantly and then expects you to give a fuck when characters who have been in a total of two scenes start dying off.

I spent so much time looking at it that Prompto took a photo

Both of those games were great, and at least made you feel something.
FF15 was just frustration and boredom. Doesn't even have a memorable OST outside of the main theme.

I wish I had video saving on when I did my playthrough. I was streaming for a friend and the game completely crashed on two occasions.

The first time was right at the first "boss" battle, and Noctis was stuck in the ground because the post-cutscene didn't load correctly and all the characters were just wildly flailing around in complete silence. I hoped they would kill the boss and I would just be reset at the end, but they weren't even doing any damage. The second time was during the leviathan fight, the exact same thing happened, Noctis was just floating there while Leviathan flailed around in silence. I had to force-shut down the console both times because I couldn't even open the PS menu. I've literally NEVER had a Final Fantasy game just come up with game-breaking bugs like that, not even 14.

>both of those games were great

Now I remember why I hated you.

>awesome story setup by the movie and anime
This. Despite the poor reviews for kingsglaive, I thought it was pretty damn good. I was honestly saddened in the end when nyx sacrificed himself. I'm almost 30 hours in XV and I know this game would be so much better if nyx could potentially join my party at some point. Hell just let me play as nyx so I can fight the general from the movie. They shat the bed by separating the movie from the game.

I'll try to change for you.

Seriously. When the movie ended I kept thinking "Oh man, shit is going to go down in the game!" and nothing fucking happens.

lol what? do you speak english?

hey OP, you forgot a few things:
>can't interact with the world at all while on a chocobo, which means you have to constantly jump off
>recipes, while fun, don't really add anything to your adventure other than temporary buffs, and the ingredients to them are more hassle to find than they should be
>constant loading screens every single moment
>no reason to use the car when fast travel exists, and even nullifies the existence of the flying Regalia
>final boss is literally spamming the attack button to win, and/or using quick time events
>superboss is casual garbage and can be killed as early as level 40 since his AI is so poorly programmed that you can whack at his tail for 20 minutes and he'll never turn around to attack you back

AFTER TEN YEARS, HOPEFULLY IT'LL HAVE BEEN WORTH THE WEIGHT.

>>can't interact with the world at all while on a chocobo, which means you have to constantly jump off
This game came out a whole fucking year after MGS5, they had plenty of time to analyze ALL of the problems with the horse, and they couldn't get the ONE IMPORTANT THING right.

Yeah, isn't it great how fast the chocobo travels, except the world is littered with items that you may need, so you have to stop every 5 seconds (and I mean that quite literally, they couldn't contain themselves with scattering useless crap throughout the world).

I think it's safe to say that nobody actually played this game before it launched.

This game doesn't really advance the industry in anyway when you look at it.

Every single thing it tries to do has been done better in other games, and it brings absolutely nothing new.

Ten years, wasted.

>can't interact with the world at all while on a chocobo, which means you have to constantly jump off

All they had to do was restrict the treasures to just dungeons. At least that would be a valid reason as to why you can't pick em up while on a chocobo.

But there I go again, expecting logic from Square. How silly.

i just wanted this game to play like kingdom hearts 2 for christ sake. I watch the e3 2013 over 50 times over the course of the 3 years being hyped and waiting for this game. I was hyped because it looked kh2fm and fast pace dissidia. I ignore some you annoying and repetitive shitposters and at times hid the negative threads from the catalog. I'm very mad that i dropped a full $64.59 on this shit game. The only good thing i got out of this shit was the orange soda drink came with the game on day one.
>using Notics combat is very sluggish and his animations are all delayed when attacking, phasing, jumping, wrapping and dogging.
> All my party members are just useless and die very fast on bosses.
> Bosses are either to unfair high level or literary mash circle to win or use summon .
> Magic is just a shitty TPS garnade
am at chapter 8 and i don't even understand the story or the overall plot. I'm very mad at my self for being overhyped for D GRADE game. Hype culture needs to die in this generation.

That scene was so stupid. Suddenly you go from some super important scene straight to that with no proper segway.

>E3 2013
>stella
>dazzeling environment
>looked like they had a descent plot cooked up
How do you fuck up that bad in 3 years?

Honestly why bother with combat when you can end the fight in two seconds with a magic spell?

And I agree that there is little challenge combat. Hell the game gives you two opportunities to use potions and a fucking pheonix down on yourself to prevent death. Where is the fear of death when I have leaf bracer on?

>they took out all the hand to hand combat animations and vaulting over enemies
>took out making your party members playable only to sell them back to you as DLC

I WILL NEVER FORGIVE

NEVER

Just had areana in my party for a dungeon and I have a feeling I know how this is gonna go.
>90% of the game is noctis and the boys
>get extra party members with new techniques for only a few short hours
>can't freely add them back
>can't customize them

Noc's crew is alright but damn quit teasing me with all these extra party members. Let me decide who stays and who goes. I would gladly sub prompto and ignis out for iris and areana. And I agree that losing the ability to control gladious, ignis and prompto is some straight bullshit. Hell didn't they hype at one point that you would be able to play as prompto in first person? Is that in the DLC?

I think the worst part about this game is that I can already till I'm not going to enjoy the rest of this ride, yet I'm in too deep. I feel like I have to see this trainwreck out till the end. All the DLC updates and story fixes in the world can't save this festering mess.

>segway
It's segue, you flaming faggot.

Also, shut the fuck up, onsokumaru

It seems like everyone who thinks XV is bad is an antisocial loser.

>accepting clear flaws in a game that has been in development for 10 years
>accepting flaws in a game developed by a company that has been known to occasionally shit gold
Permitting flaws is how an industry fails. I bet you thought zero time dillema was good as well?

...

Blame Nomura that it took 8 years for nothing, and then thank Tabata for the god-tier game that was finished in 3 years.

You sound like a pathetic degenerate to me.

...

Bloodborne is a god tier game that was finished in three years.

FFXV is unfinished.

Bloodborne also doesn't rely on character development or cutscenes. It's inherently an easier game to make.

>Tabata enters

Seriously though what's with you kids complaining about the fact that Tabata had to clean up Nomura's mess?

Yeah if they could just shit out the Versus XIII in Nomura's head that'd be great, but it's not feasible because Nomura's a hack and Tabata got a great game finished.

All that says to me is that SE wasn't smart enough to make an easier game then.

An easier game to make would be a shitty Final Fantasy.
If Bloodborne were called FFXV I would actually fucking hate it because it's nothing like what Final Fantasy should be, there's no grand scale narrative, no meaningful characters with developments in their personalities, there's no flawless musical score, etc.

>there's no flawless musical score

I literally mute the ingame music and play my spotify, thats how shit the OST for this game is

worst one yet

K

>Shimomura is doing the OST
>Get hype to the next dimension
>Actually listen to the music while playing

At least KH 0.2 still had good music.

I'll blame the fact that XV changed it's story fifty fucking times for the music being sub par.

>>constantly having to backtrack to do hunts, one at a time

this is my biggest complaint. Not to mention some hunts require to it to be raining and you have no control over it

>>Random characters that show up and are expected to receive instant sympathy from the player
like that old Jared guy that died off screen in Lestallum.

>you have to watch a 2 hour movie before playing the game

They added a new cutscene of the Empire betraying Lucis during the signing. It shows King Regis getting killed. It happens right after the first Dino mission. I just started a new game plus and happened to see it.

I though that the soundtrack was pretty great. Especially Luna's theme and all versions of Somus. Song of the Stars was pretty damn good too.

So what actually happened with this game's production? Did Nomura get anything done in those 6 years he was in charge of it, or was this game basically started in 2012?

Just to confirm, fixing the boat in Chapter 8 basically starts the game into it's infamous railroad mode?

Not really, because you can fuck around in Altissia a little bit, but not as much as before. It's when you get on the actual train that it goes linear.

but I can't get back to the main map unless I use the dog thingy to go back, correct?

This is correct. Once the game gives you that option, that's when you're gonna be funneled from point A to point B.

who the fuck is this Caligo guy and why does he act like we kicked his ass?

what is this haha

I love this game and the only people I seen loving it as much are girls.

Does that mean I'm... gay?

fucking kek

Yes

>gladio is the only useful party

ignis techniques are fucking top tier m8
prompto's pierce is great as well

maybe when they line up

redpill me on ignis?

>already have a bunch of ARPGs under their belt
>still fuck up towns, NPCs and quests

how

>enhancement
>overwhelm

mark is great too for style factor

That was in the day 1 patch

HELLO THERE, OPENING!

eh segway has transitioned from a funny joke to the actual new word.

how can girls play this problematic game with an all male hunk party

Bloodborne is super unfinished, it's why they reused areas and why the game is overall much shorter than all the Dark Souls games. Instead of having a terrible second half like DS it just ends quicker so it's consistent.

Nomura had no staff to develop the game because they were all pulled to work on engine troubles, cleaning up the XIV trainwreck & creating ARR, and making the XIII sequels. Then after the re-reveal Tabata took over and Nomura got kicked off with no explanation.

Versus XIII is the game Nomura wanted, but was never given a chance, to make. XV is the half baked piece of shit that Tabata made while using some of Nomura's character designs.

source your ass

Prove him wrong :^)
It is true though that 14 1.0 delayed other games by a few years

FF8 is my favorite FF and I have also had sex before.

>2017 is a year of FFXV updates!
Wonder if it will go as unsuccessfully as the year of luigi?...

>god-tier
try harder

You can visually see the difference in the quality. They did another cutscene like that where noctis dreams he's free falling beside luna's white dog.

Fuck me, the next main mission is getting on the boat to altissia. I had no idea the game becomes that linear down the road.

I'd assume so

>also had to juggle multiple KH games along the way
I'll believe that wearing nomura thin and a lack of resources is what led us to the catastrophe we have today. I still wonder why he wanted to call it Versus XIII.
