What's the ideal setup to have in OSRS before starting membership stuff? Pic related is where I'm at now. Realizing I should probably have 37 magic for the Falador Teleport and maybe 40 ranged for Dragonhide equipment.

you start now, since everything is faster in p2p. and you have a whole 2 weeks to grind enough cash for the next bond.
60+ in the stats that matter, otherwise you're wasting your time.
43 prayer is a must.
50 ranged for magic shortbow, 60 attack so you can immediately wield dragon weapons, 45 defense for berserker helmet are some recommendations.
Getting firemaking to 50 for Desert Treasure and 62 fishing for Swan Song will help if you're questing.
Questing is my main interest in doing p2p, I wanted to see what people were talking about re: the game's writing.
These were my stats back in the day before getting my first membership. I also gathered enough logs for 50 Fletching straight away.
Pretty much what said, as well as finishing all F2P quests. Don't wanna waste membership time on free content.
Why is fletching important?
There are a lot of members' quests with big combat XP rewards, you can probably get to 60ish stats pretty quickly between those and having access to better training areas.
You can start questing at a low level and you'll fly up in terms of total level.
A lot of skills can be trained by doing quests. You can do quests to get the requirements for higher level quests. Good luck!
Also you can add me and ask any questions if you want. This thread made me buy membership again.
It was the easiest members' skill to prepare for in F2P. At least that was my logic.
soo the final Lvls to go to p2p are ? :O
i already farmed a bond
my stats are only
55 Cooking
35 Mining
20 all arround battle stats
no ranged , either magic.
Did you complete all the F2P quests yet?
I've done everything save for the one that was just added. Seems pretty poor-spirited to ruin the F2P quest lineup with a glorified holiday event.
Seems like you're all set for EZ scape.
Just realized I never posted the image. Ignore the cropping, I'm not gonna fix it after 11 years.
Is there a trick to getting prayer high enough for the protection spells in f2p? I've been pretty diligent about burying giant bones, but I don't know if there are better ways. Half tempted to just bum around the farms near Lumbridge since so many bones are there.
There's the bone yard in the wildnerness that spawns big bones but really your best option is buying them.
Is it worth going dirt poor just to get the protection spells faster? I'm making money where I can, mainly just selling the talismans and beads I get off of imps and hill giants, but I was never interested in the moneymaking aspect of this game.
I mean. The protection spells in F2P are hardly worth anything since most monsters don't require you use it.
Are you planning to go P2P? If so, just gather bones until you're P2P and use the superior prayer training method.
I'm generally fine with the OSRS devs, but that bait-and-switch legitimately angered me.
But I'm glad you're forging into the game OP, I hope you fave fun!
If you beat every f2p quest (except skip Shield of Arrav and Prince Ali Rescue), you should become a member.
>(except skip Shield of Arrav and Prince Ali Rescue)
> all that work
> shit cash rewards
> the gangs aren't even interesting to be in
I'm sure n00bs were impressed by the cash rewards back in the day but it's incredibly underwhelming.
>46 fishing
nice
It's free content that's supposed to entice players over to the more lucrative paid membership side of the gate.
