Gaming mice / mouse thread

Post what you use.

Also, OP here needs a large mouse that's like the Deathadder size, but isn't Razer bad-tier quality.

Picture related; never again, the old old v1 versions lasted forever.

Gaming mice are a scam
>using a trackball for about 2-3 years
>shit at aiming, can't hit shit
>Sup Forums says get gaming mouse
>get gaming mouse
>still can't hit shit

It's been 2 years and I've done all those stupid aiming drills in game. In the end I've only an overprice, made in china, mouse that doesn't make any difference.

I recommend watching gaming mice review channels like this one

youtube.com/channel/UCGJaDZC7PChgd-XMwcbZkiw/videos

if not get the Logitech g502 I think its the best versatile mice on the market.

I really like the logitech g403. It's shaped like the DA and has a pmw3366 (3360)

Zowie EC2-A here.

looks nice but the Amazon reviews tear it a new one

also I wonder where it buy if everyone on Amazon is getting an open box item

gayman mice or giant keyboards with retarded LED backlights aren't supposed to make you better at vidya user, and anyone who told you they would is a retard
they're just fun flashy accessories for people who spend all day on the gamin' pc to waste money on

My nigga. I'm on EC1-A. I like a bigger mouse.

Thoughts?

only if you get gud
shitters cant improve with gear

any which way, sensors ARE NOT gimmicks, provided you dont buy a shit candyskull tier mouse that relies on marketing (aka Razer)

Is that a display on the side of the mouse? For what purpose?

Otherwise it's a square/10 mouse.

I got mine from best buy for 35 bucks on sale. Some of the earlier copies had a slightly loose (side to side wiggle) mouse wheel, but it didn't affect the scrolling at all. I love the light weight and shape. I came from a V2 Death Adder.

yeah but you could also buy a non-shit regular mouse that isn't marketed towards HARDCORE COOL GAYMERS WHO LOVE RGB LEDS AND GAYMING AND ESPECIALLY RGB LEDS AND ALSO 12 EXTRA BUTTONS

beat up mionix naos 7000, giant fucking palm grip, great sensor, software's lacking though but I use AHK for so much shit it doesn't matter

Got an example of a good mouse then?

Customizability.

fucking phone cameras i swear

holy shit wipe that thing off every once in a while it looks so dirty

That is the dumbest shit I've ever seen. I love it.

OP here

Just bought an ECA-1 due to reviews, sensor, and the fact someone with just as large hands as me wrote a very detailed review.

ALSO
Dont be a retarded nigger like myself and buy something on ebay.

I loved Deathadders (pre-2013 versions), so I tried to find an old version on eBay. Bought one, thought it was overstock from China, but turns out it was literally an almost comestically perfect clone of a Deathadder; but it was a counterfeit in the end.

Fuck me I wasted $30 but this is a lesson I learned hard, avoid eBay now, nothing but Chinese shitters disguised even with American shipping addresses.

Yes, I was retarded, now I know.

I wipe it almost every day. That's not dirt. It's discoloration from the thing practically pickling in my constant hand sweat, and some of the rubberized coating is coming off for the same reason.

For the record, this is my laptop's palm rest.

>Big hands
>Fingertip grip
>Don't need tonnes of buttons

What mouse do I get Sup Forums?
My inner autist would be happier if the mouse is red/can change the colours

I just ordered a fk1+ but it got delayed thanks to bad weather

Enjoy your purchase user. I'm a big fan of mine.

started freezing up on me after a couple of months during heavy clickfest games requiring replugging, OLED display is worthless as there's only a handful of gifs that work with it and they're all shit, got a g502 and it's GOAT

I was gifted a Razer Deathadder in like 2010, and it's served well enough.
My middle mouse button is starting to stick, and there are phantom scrolls going off a scarce amount of times after scrolling. Shit's old, gotta get a new mouse.

This is mine, bought it back in 2009 or so for 20 dollars. Old as hell but still works like a charm. I don't play competitive FPS so this does the job for all my machines. Gonna hate replacing it one day it feels just right after so many years. Microsoft mouses are underrated Sup Forums

I went with an EC1-A recently, great sensor and buttons but the wheel is just not very good. My first one had a broken wheel which is apparently a common issue, replaced it and my new one has a working wheel but it's still not great in general.

I don't use the wheel outside of browsing or one specific game so it's not a huge deal, love it for FPS games.

I've been using the EC2-A for a few months now, after having used the G303 for the year prior to that.

Pros:

- Great feel in your hand, something about the way it leverages your wrist, a lot of people report just being better with this mouse for no apparent reason.

- Top sensor won't give you any issues
- Non-braided cord so no fraying and resistance.
- No software, all settings on done on the mouse itself and stored in hardware.

Cons:

- Big pink scroll wheel the never goes off (assuming you use 800DPI, other DPI will be different color)
- Side buttons suck. They are well-placed but they do not work well and are flimsy.
- For some reason, oils from the hands REALLY show up on this thing.

You mean you don't bind jump to MWHEELUP? Get on my level.

I don't get the hate for razer, I bought a 2013 deathadder, like, 3 years ago and nothing on or in it has ceased to function and I've hit it on my keyboard pretty hard on accident more than a few times trying to whip around real fast.

Granted, I haven't bought any other products from them that might very well just be selling you a brand name but as far as my mouse goes it's been solid for a long time.

you hit the lottery then

40% of the deathadders are flakes; the ones made before 2011 are solid, the last one I bought was total garbage that resulted in a double click

my last one (I bought two) was a DeathAdder black, that lasted me forever;, finally after 4 years of use, the scroll wheel died

That was the only reliable Razer product (black deathadder) Ive owned, and after the 2013 one, Im so done with Razer

Steelseries mats for me, and now (as OP), Im giving this EC1-A a chance since I have xbox huge hands.

The Logitech g502 is worth it for the three built in profiles and smooth scroll wheel (turn down to 1 line scroll at a time) alone for me.

I have one profile for music, one for fast closing and opening tabs, and one that is default.

The second profile is really good for opening links fast and transferring between them or closing them for porn

Deathrazer is a pretty solid mouse and should be aquired if one ever finds it with discount.

Few common reasons:

1) Super overpriced
2) Meme shit that "hardcore gamers" use
3) A lot of time they simply do not perform that well relative to the competition.
4) They are quite huge and people seem to be moving towards smaller mice for competitive gaming.

just get a g502

you don't need the extra buttons, but you'll learn to

>4) They are quite huge
I wouldnt ever list that as a negative

t. OP with NBA sized hands who played competitively from 2008-2012, only the og (v1) Deathadder and Black Deathadders I had of razer were not flakes (out of the 6 products I did buy of theirs)

However, you're right, theyre overpriced for what shit build and internals they have

Yeah, like $30 and make sure its not a counterfeit from China like my dumbass did because of nostalgia and how familiar I am for almost ~9 years of using the design

What about Razer mechanical keyboards?

I was thinking between that and a deathadder, I've got pretty sweaty/greasy hands so I was a little peeved by the idea of having to clean that thing often

Ditto, complete shit for the price point compared to other options from ducky or filco.

5) shitty software

braid cord is a bad thing?

>G900
>First wireless mouse to have equal or lower input lag than the best wired mice.
no cord tugging worries is bliss
>Rightly and lefty without being uncomfortable for either
>Just the right amount of programmable keys
the two on top are kind of in a shit spot, but there are 2-4 in a good spot and I never need more than that
>Orgasmic scroll wheel
>Highest quality mouse laser available
>Not too heavy

I love this thing.

I'm rubbing my balls against mine right now. Godlike mouse.

I use a 5 dollar logitech wireless mouse I got like 2 years ago.

People don't like it because it's stiff and the cord tugs alot, honestly, I like it, it looks nice and I haven't had any problems

My Death Adder 3.5g lived for at least 5 years before the scroll wheel went to shit on me last year. I did have to RMA it three months after buying it because it started double clicking.

Currently using this.

too bad it looks like gamertrash

oh okay thanks

>Falling for the gaming mouse maimai.

You're all better off purchasing some rope and hanging yourselves with it.

Except it doesn't. It looks sleek, but not gaudy or like it's trying to hard. The only problem I have with the design is the logitech branding. At least your palm covers it.

if you were to chose one or the other, which is worth getting?

gaming mouse or keyboard?

no, it looks like gamertrash

I've got a G403 and I'm loving it. Switched up from a Microsoft Intellimouse when the left button started double clicking on me.

Zowie EC1 Evo

Love the classic "Microsoft mouse" size and shape

I like the DPI switch and no need for drivers.

I think I've had this over 2 years now, and would buy another without hesitation when this dies.

depends on the genre and how bad each of yours are

like if you have a 2-key-rollover membrane shitboard then a decent keyboard will be nice

I had the EC2-A but had to return it. I loved it but couldn't get fully comfortable with it because of the way the back bit bulges out on either side. I use a fingertip grip so my pinky and ring fingers could never find a comfortable position because of that bulge.

Is the finish on yours peeling off like on mine?

I think it depends on preference and what games you play

I play lots of shootans but few macro heavy games, so a gaming mouse is a total necessity but a gaming keyboard would just be a luxury if any benefit at all. I use a $9 membrane keyboard

here's a thought,
maybe you're just shit at video games?

Nope, but the rubbery finish has a few noticeable scratches

definitely a mouse.

mechanical keyboards are just a meme and offer no advantage over a membrane keyboard.

>pink
>not tasteful blue.

the hand sweat thing is true, too , for some reason as soon as you touch the mouse you'll leave huge imprints and you'll start sweating like a motherfucker after a few minutes.
also just open your mouse and solder a new LED, faggot.

Looking for a mouse with a ring finger groove, is there anything other than the Razer Naga?

I can't help but compulsively (claw) grip my current mouse, g500, with my ring finger.

...

To you maybe. Unfortunately no one really agrees. And the people that don't agree seem to have actual reasons for not agreeing. You on the other hand only have the mental capacity to spout your opinion over and over without giving any reasoning.

>rgb led
>big gamer logo
>future tech look
It objectively looks like gamertrash.

Hey man, ever find good buttons to assign M5 and M4 (The two behind the scroll wheel) to? I just got my hand on this and have no idea what the 1337 pros use it for.

Quick, all these mice are the basically the same price, what do get?
I mainly play fps
Deathadder Chroma
Deathadder Elite
G502
G900

woops. I made the two post below you. The pic was lost after an edit.

I am looking to get a naga. It's so comfortable on the ring finger.

>Ergonomic design
>Very minimal aesthetic accents
>FUTURETECH REEEE

>RGB LED
Yea dude good luck finding a mouse that isn't shit that doesn't have some form of RGB. This mouse has ONE RGB lit area, and it is always covered by your hand when in use, and can be turned off permanently with one checkmark.

>big gamer logo
>gamer
It's logitech's logo. It's branding. Every gaming high end mouse is going to have this, because it's a high end product and they want their logo on it. It has nothing to do with gaming, and as long as your RGB lights are turned off and or your hand is on the mouse, you will never see it.

Probably the least gamer trash looking gaming grade mouse there is you monkey.

For pure fps
G403 if you like that ergonomic shape and medium hands
Logitech g pro if small hands and like flat ambidextrous designs.
They are also very light.
G900 is the best all rounder for productivity and games. The wireless is great.

G900 no contest
youtube.com/watch?v=wQxw-pX4dak

it's objectively gamer trash dude

best mouse coming through

>My opinion that no one agrees with and all my points got shut down
>Objectively
kek

you didn't shoot down a single point
and your opinion can be discarded since you have buyers remorse

I have an ageing RAT7... the middle click multi-clicks when I press it from 2 to 5 times and it drives me nuts.

I loved how customizable this thing is. I look at the current crop of good mice and most are not very customizable in terms of form factor.

I don't want another RAT. I use claw grip. Where do I start?

Looking for new mouse.

Currently using a RAT7 which I love but the middle click is bouncing so... 2-5 times registering. It's tired.

I use a claw grip. Most mice when I look around seem to focus on number of buttons or DPI or whatever... I don't give a shit I need it to fit my hand.

Just looking for a place to start.

Except, I did shut them down. I'm still waiting on your rebuttal, or you can just concede at this point since all you're going to do is use the word objectively incorrectly some more.

And I don't have buyers remorse. This is without a doubt the best mouse I've ever used. While I agree that logitech's branding is annoying, and I wish it wasn't there, I don't agree that it looks like gamer trash because at least it's simplistic and colorless.

Fuck you Hiroshi... I got errors on the first post and the image I picked is not there.

Where's the latest tier-list of gaming mouse? I can only find the one from 2013

Bruh it has a lit up logo in the middle of the mouse with retarded useless 3 extra buttons in the centre and a retarded angly gaming aesthetic

I don't know about the function but in form it looks like typical gamer trash to sell to dudebros

>.gif
fuck you nigga FUCK YOU

explain how the g900 isn't in the same tier as the rat7 for gamer trash
they look identical

Too gamery

>tfw the left mouse button my mx518 is finally starting to wear out

I don't want to have to move on...

Well no fucking shit, genius. That's why I'm asking for an alternative.

The advertising for this is retarded but the design is sleek and simple, great for finger tip grip, and frankly my hands are a bit on the smaller side, so this fits it perfectly.

oh sorry i must've left a skeleton in there
my bad :^)

Just realized I'm getting memed. Well done sir you had my jimmies rustled.

youtube.com/watch?v=wQxw-pX4dak

No, you do know about function because the literal post you replied to told you about its function. In terms of ability, you can't go wrong with it. It is one of the best mice currently available in every regard, WHILE being wireless.

As for its aesthetic, I'm actually surprised people think it's gamertrash. It has minimal aesthetic accents. I'm looking at the mouse right now and there's literally one accent that seems function-less to me.

>Lit up logo
Ok, I turned it off, you can too. It's one button and you'll never see it again.
>3 useless buttons in the center. Yes, those buttons are placed poorly, and wont be useful mid multiplayer games probably. But it has 2-4 well placed programmable buttons that are in good spots. If you needs more than 4 buttons then you have a bigger fucking problem.

>gamer aesthetic
What? As in its shape? Its shape is strictly ergonomic; if that comes off as gamertrash to you then it's your own false preconceptions.

so you can't explain
i'm glad you concede your mouse is gamer shit

No need to double click

Keep posting please

Calm down you autist. I'm not going to know about function because I'm not going to trust a random person on the internet even without considering how much of a retard he's proven himself to be.

Your arguments consist of 'You're wrong because I say so!'.

I dunno... are you good at Battletoads?

...

>They are quite huge and people seem to be moving towards smaller mice for competitive gaming.

That's the reason I keep mine. Can't stand using tiny ass mice

Not that guy but I use 4 for changing keymaps and 5 for DPI cycling.

For the side, I really like using 2 for previous tab and 5 for next tab. Great mouse for fingertip grip.

Wait you were being serious?
wew lad
Ok then I'll explain.
>Doesn't have knobs
>doesn't have a shit ton of weights just in case you like to play games with a rock
>doesn't have a ruler
>doesn't have a crosshair
>doesn't have a robot face
>doesn't have an accronym in GiJoe font that is ^7
>doesn't have secret compartments

>Has ONE visible aesthetic accent, that you actually have to look to find.
>Has ONE logo, that you will never see again once you turn RGB off

There.

Korea... not even once.
