Why do people buy games that has no content or effort put into it like pic related?
Why do people buy games that has no content or effort put into it like pic related?
muh competitive
I have never played this game, nor any game made by the company.
However, from what I've seen, they have put in countless hours designing this game.
In fact, it's so seamlessly functional that you're incapable of even spotting how functional it is.
Also, if you're so smart, why don't you study marketing and figure out why this shit sold so well.
>Waifus for the desperate weebs of Sup Forums
>Dreamworks Animation so its easy to get mommy to buy it for you
>Baby's first rooty tooty point and shooty
>Any retard can wait long enough to press Q then clap like an american because 'i did a thing' type moments
>Short gamemodes for autistics and people who can't think further than 3 seconds ahead in time
>one dimensional characters who have a single character trait that autistics clinge to (see sonic the hedgehog and my little pony as references)
>Muh feminism
>Muh gays
>Muh multiculturalism
>People too stupid to see it's being used not altruistically but instead to further profit and take advantage of a short-sighted, low-intelligence group of people
TL:DR it's a hugbox

Your only mistake was responding to this shitty thread. But you can learn from your mistakes. Just hide and move on next time, friend.
Because they find them fun
>or effort
now this is some shit tier bait
I'll play hide the sausage in your fat mom's cunt you arrogant faggot.
where is the effort? There is no music, the sound quality is shit, dialogue is horrible all the maps are exactly the same, shitty gameplay and gamemodes, silly sjw appeaasing, press q to awesome, horrible design and balance choices,
"bait"
>no effort
Of all the BS people will say about this game, this is not true. They just fuck everything else up.
I purchased it because the FPS genre is effectively dead. You have a few geriatric series to cycle between (Tf2, COD, CS) and nothing new out. Overwatch turned out to be awful so I wasted my money on that.
Now let's hope Quake Champions is good.
sounding like the retards that say "blizzard polish". There is zero effort put into this shit, it's the definition of a cashgrab, but since it's blizz people will ignore that
I'm sure they put some effort in polishing Widowmaker's shiny butt
bandwagon effect
aka reddit effect.
Sounding like a contrarian retard.
I guess I would have to get your definition of effort. The game is very polished from a presentation and gameplay standpoint, bearing in mind a few bugs however. From a balancing standpoint there is certainly much to be desired, and support for the game has been solid in a few areas but lacking in others.
They really have had a shit pace in adding new content. Still, to say they put no effort into the game is strange in my opinion. I'd like to see your case for it.
see Overwatch is something an average high school kid could have made, probably even better because they actually play games and know whats good.
Most of those points are highly subjective and untrue in my opinion. However I do agree with your stance on Ults, design and balance however. I always felt Ultimates were a bit too flashy and rewarding. If I made a game like this I would make Ultimates about half as strong as they are in the game right now so everything feels fair. Characters like Ana were obviously going to be a problem from the get go given her kit, shocking no one saw it until the Tank meta started surfacing.
However, I think the sound design and audio/visual feedback is very good, dialogue is hit or miss, sjw pandering I don't care about (unless we get a trans character or some shit) and the maps are very much not the same. The game modes are fine too, although I dislike the end game on a few of the maps.
It's certainly not perfect, but a highly hyperbolic statement like "no effort" should probably be avoided, unless you're discussing specific elements of the game in which you may have more of a case.
>There is no music
stopped there
you're clueless
do your homework next time
there is a shitty two second jingle at the start of every map, do your homework and git rekt mate
Comp scene is fucking dead for a while
>something an average high school kid could have made
Could you make it any more obvious how full of shit you are? You should at least try to make your arguments exist in reality if you want people to take you seriously.
>no content
sure.
>no effort
That's a stretch man. In fact you generally can't make that claim for a lot of products you spend 40+ bucks on, especially not AAA videogames or movies. The shit isn't easy to put together.
Overwatch has been in development since what, 2007? The balancing is pretty terrible but it's more a product of poor competitive vision than lack of effort.
Then you are watching gameplay with the music off. It has this constant upbeat orchestral music.
People probably turn it off because it reminds them of noisy college march music.
I never got this cap, fun isn't a meaningless word, but you only use it on its own when you can't enunciate why you find a particular game enjoyable.
For example, I find Duke Nukem fun. That explains absolutely nothing in terms of why it's enjoyable to play, you have to explain it clearly, such as; "DN was fun because of its combat and the humorous take on 80's action movie heroes".
Advertising. If the game wasn't blizzard no one would be playing this.
The irony being that the game has no content and is still a million times more worth the money than the piece of shit that is FFXV
thread
>they have put in countless hours designing this game.
>Take Ruckus and Skye from Paladins
>Take HK-206 from Gigantic
>Take 8/9 characters from TF2, and 90% of the mechanics that come with it
>fill the aforementioned and the rest of the cast with cliche and waifus
>produce absolutely abhorrent maps
>balance it terribly
>put no forethough into if the ARG you're making is too long or not
>make it look pretty
>become Blizzard
This spam needs to stop.
Literally everything in this post is true, which is why it got ignored I guess. Sasuga, Sup Forums
Because marketers are apparently smarter than most consumers.
Blizzard copied ideas and mechanics from as many popular titles as they could and still somehow manged to make a bad game.
