Besides Earthbound, what are some other games which allow you to automatically defeat weaker enemies?

which episode (film?) is this from senpai?
Pretty much every modern RPG that isn't made by Nintendo.
Bravely default has a class that can kill enemies 20 levels below you instantly at the start of a battle.
Try reverse image searching, newfriend.
Not him but I'm 90% certain it's from a film. I'd just check costumes, honestly.
Also Bravely Default lets you do this.
Wow. One piece really turned to shit
Reverse Google told me Film Z but I dunno.
>Pretty much every modern RPG that isn't made by Nintendo.
Such as?
So did they just drop his rubber shit and he just mind fucks people now?
He still does that, that shit is just a way to get rid of weak ass jobbers in his way.
does every anime just turn into dragon ball after a while?
No, it's just some powerful hak that that he's used on weaker enemies once in a while. Could probably count the amount of times on one hand. He still fights most people with his fist and shit.
looks like one piece
Look up the term "Power Creep"
U wot? Paper Mario has this feature
Although it may be a badge.
Only the shitty ones.
There's no purple shockwave in the manga, what happens is the dude's willpower is so great that it makes weak people faint. It does nothing to characters who are prominent enough to have a name.
Heroes of Might and Magic series
Not only that, but you can choose to let them join you sometimes too.
It's just his "haki" effectively just that his presence is enough to overwhelm weaklings. Anyone strong in part 2 can do it
>Anyone strong in part 2 can do it
>Zoro is stronger than Luffy
>Zoro can't do it
Only people with King's Haki can do it.
It could be worse. They could turn into Yu Yu Hakusho and be nothing but recycled tournaments.
I wish RPGs would just adopt phone game mechanics that allow you to auto-play through grinds
Mostly referring to Luffy and enemies, just meant that it's not some super hidden technique bloodline limit thing. Also, I haven't read it in a while, Zoro's stronger than Laffy?
It's not anyone who can just do it. Only a select bunch.
>Complains about YYH
>Doesn't just read Flames of Recca which is just a fixed up version of YYH with a real ending
Fucking Sup Forums
Are any of the One Piece movies good?
>Also, I haven't read it in a while, Zoro's stronger than Laffy?
That's just memes.
But what do you mean when you say you haven't read in a while? If you dropped the manga because of Dressrosa, that shitfest is finally over and everything after it has been becoming better and better with almost every chapter.
Movie 6 is pretty great.
What does this power have to do with being made of rubber?
Nah, I never "dropped" it, I just stopped reading it back after the Mermaid princess stuff and never caught up again. I've always intended too.
Why, what's Dressrosa and why's it so bad?
Nothing. The anime's playing it up, but he's mostly just looking at them. Letting out his "killing intent" etc
I want to garchu with Carrot
Dressrosa is the arc two arcs after the fishman island arc. It is like 100 chapters long and full of new characters that the story keeps switching back and forth, and half the crew is not even in the arc for half the time, and a lot of bullshit plot stretching occures. The final fight is one of the best examples.
Lots of people dropped it during that arc. I'd say it is a bit better to read it in one go than when you read it weekly, but it is still not a good arc. The arcs after it so far are great though, in case you ever feel like slogging through.
Which movie has Luffy and the main antagonist just violently punching each other in the end with no powers as an endurance battle?
>Akainu affected by Ou no Haki
What a load of bullshit and fanservice, God i hate non canon movies.
Basically imagine if Alabasta and Skypiea were jammed together, with a tournament filled with 50 named jobbers stuffed in there and half of the Strawhats just leaving a third of the way in.
And it's paced like the DBZ anime.
Unrelated concept called Haki that essentially anyone is capable of learning.
Observation Haki = Extreme spatial awareness, including up to large distances
Armament Haki = Body part hardening for increased defensive and offensive capabilities
Conqueror's Haki = Only 1 and a million people have this (so all major players in the series), and it's basically the user exuding their overwhelming willpower which knocks out weaker-willed people
It's not bad, it's just really, really long, but it has a really big payoff. Dressrosa comes after Punk Hazard, which comes after Fishman Island. After Dressrosa is Zou, followed by the Big Mom arc which it's currently on.
>Oh shit I've created a bunch of unbalanced devil fruit users who can't be defeated by stretchy punches
>I know I'll ape DragonBall and start giving out Ki so anyone with a high enough power level can beat a logia fruit user
>But if anyone can be amazing Luffy would be less special so he can have the super special Conqueror's Haki
People actually like this poorly thought out shit.
Film Z.
Granted, they're both using Haki to enhance their punches, but the final fight still basically came down to them punching the shit out of each other with no fancy moves or techniques.
That aint Akainu
To be fair, Haki still isn't an instant win against Logia users. As long as they turn into their element before the strike actually hits them, it doesn't matter if the other person is using Haki or not.
Dude thanks.
Proof that you only need initial success and then can ride it into the stars no matter what retarded shit you write.
I mean haki allows devil fruit users to not get insanely hard countered by each other so some weak faggot with the power to turn into smoke couldn't just go into the lungs of someone super powerful and make him choke.
I think it's a fine idea although I think it should have a prerequisite like having eaten a devil fruit or haven eaten some other knockoff devil fruit shit for like zoro etc.
Luffy is far from the only one with conquerors Haki and it allows strong people to deal with weaklings easily rather than having 20 minutes of screentime used on luffy 1 hit KOing 20 people at a time. Although it should have been used earlier, like at the fight for ace's life.
I think it's fine, I think the series has problems but I don't think those are problems.
There are a bunch of people with Conqueror's Haki and it never affects anyone with a name. All the big pirates can use it which is why they have their positions. If Luffy really is the next Pirate King, shouldn't he have the potential to do the stuff the bigwigs can?
Well, they did a decent job of showing that Logia wasn't invincible even before Haki, but you're not wrong that logia were unbalanced imo.
The whole concept was always meant to be "All the Devil Fruit are equally powerful, it's about how you use them!" But having someone pretty much immune to almost all damage really, really stretched that. He'd lose, but it would be due to not using his powers right etc.
So Haki brings it closer to the ideal and it's not like it hard counters them
That's bullshit though, the series has tons of joke fruits.
The whole point of Kaku was that he was a good fighter who got a hilariously bad fruit and tried to make the best of it.
And others are pure upgrades, like magma beating fire.
Conqueror's haki was there from chapter one and many other instances of haki were shown before officially explaining what haki is. Also shitton of people have Conqueror's haki, not just luffy. Luffy is special in a way that he chooses to live with his heart open. He believes that his story is worth living so much so that he doesn't mind dying if it's truly his story. People like him because everyone has a desire to believe in their own story that strongly.
Making haki look black can be considered an asspull but it kinda works if we think about as main protagonists also becoming aware of it and seeing/feeling it. Overall one piece often struggles with power levels but overall does passable and often satisfying job.
Honestly, I can imagine writing one story for so many years. Even if you make a perfectly great plan for your story over the years you are bound to grow and change so you are faced with a decision to either stick with your initial plan even if right now you know that it is subpar to whatever changes you have in your head or rewrite your lore/characters and have some people sperg at you from time to time.
>I mean haki allows devil fruit users to not get insanely hard countered by each other so some weak faggot with the power to turn into smoke couldn't just go into the lungs of someone super powerful and make him choke.
I'm going to have to jojo post for that. Just as Josuke figured out a way to beat Aqua Necklace when it went inside him Luffy beat crocodile by coating his fists in blood and punching him into bedrock.
Just imagine how much worse that crocodile fight would have been if Luffy could just use Haki fists to punch him a lot. Ultimately a clever counter is always better than nullifying the gimmick because you're too strong.
...
But there's not always going to be a clever solution and someone being beaten by some dumb shit instantly because it counters them is just as retarded.
That example was good but I doubt that would keep up and it didn't make the fight that much better.
Look at how cool this kid is. Here is your (You).
>someone being beaten by some dumb shit instantly because it counters them is just as retarded.
You mean like this?
youtube.com
>zoan
>bad fruit
As goofy as becoming a giraffe was, there was nothing bad about it. Zoan naturally boost your strength and overall abilities so even if you get a dumb animal you still end up better off than someone who gets a dumb Parmecia.
Parmecia are the only type that can give you abilities that are outright useless for combat no matter how clever you are.
I really like One Piece, but I miss moomin chopper.
New horn point is the only improvement, and the only reason it's even that nice is because that was supposed to be Chopper's new brain point.
pretty sure it's film z
So why is there a beanie on that hat? Is that a super secret technique he's hiding inbetween?
