I've run into a piss take trying to get The Old Hunters DLC to work seen as it turns out my game disc is from brazil somehow and sony take a couldnt give a fuck approach to customer help.
The staff have said my only hope is to create a PSN account under a brazilian region and pay for it again - but this involves a whole new ps4 account and you cant transfer save files. If i downloaded it to a different account would the DLC work systemwide?

No, DLC has to match the same region as the disc and any codes have to match the region as your current PSN account.

Create a new account matching the region of your disc.
Make your console the primary PS4 of that account.
Buy and install DLC with that account.
Switch to your monkey account.
Play the DLC content under your monkey account.

Yes, as long as it is installed on your primary PS4 it works with all accounts on that PS4 for that physical game.

Far from it, never had this issue before. I only got the base game because it was cheaper and i wasnt sure how much i would enjoy it due it being a fantasy genre.
These folk are idiots. Just make your Brazilian account, download the dlc there, make sure that your Brazilian account has the ps4 you're using set as its primary: otherwise the dlc will be locked to that user, and then play on your main account. That's all.
