So what did you do for it today?
...You're not leaving it in development hell, are you?
So what did you do for it today?
Working on Voxelshit called Axon in Unity. Hoping to get it on the Switch, maybe (probably) on PC and some other consoles. Most of this is placeholder, I'm just trying to get the feel down. I'm hoping for it to feel like Castlevania 1 and 3.
How hard is it to get through Green light?
So I suppsoe this is the new "What are you developing" thread?
Yup
I recently rescued my game from development hell by rebooting it as something simpler.
Mayhem League is now a cuhrayzee N64 collectathon
Progress has been exponentially faster
It's probably more manageable and I bet it'll be more fun.
It's less about manageability, more about low-poly art and a few key special effects (floating hands, magically appearing weapons) making it easy to shit out dozens of animations and art assets in an afternoon.
The game logics are as complicated as they ever were, and the scope is still out of control, it just doesn't take 2 hours to animate one swing in a combo
Well that said I'm just going to post what I posted earlier in the older thread.
I want to make a game. Something like smash. But Its hard. I don't know how to code but boy can I model and I can draw but character models don't make a game.
That one kind of like smash game with the goat character that's supposed to look like smash could be good some day but there's no footage. I can't remember the name of this game but the character they showed was basically a spacie named the kid to parallel fox and the melee player Mango.
Anyways that's my biggest Issue. I don't want to show people a game with no footage and even worse I don't want to show something that looks floaty and shitty. I want the fluidity and flashiness of melee but the simplicity of Smash 4. Something closer to what PM would be like with no L cancel and low lading lag. I want to make something for everyone too though not only in terms of character playstyles but in terms of characters too. I said something earlier in the other thread and because of that I'm sure in 10 years if I ever make this game Kotaku will pull up a screen grab calling me a shitlord for wanting to make a "select your fetish and fight" game. Just gonna say you want thicc there's thicc but at the same time I want to keep the roster pretty balanced.
Its kind of a pipe dream but if yall are interested I'll post more.
I'm trying/learn to make the animations, the model is already texturized and rigged...
...
for real I can to that, maybe with other character I will do it
Looks like Undertale
How?
I could see that, kinda. They both have limited color palettes. I do like Undertale, but I think it's a game that's made mostly by its presentation and isn't something I'm looking to replicate. There are great elements of game design in it, though, which I think should be in every game that'll obviously overlap.
>but boy can I model
Post proof
Danny?
no, but I'm interested
Would you like to play a 2d platformer based on abstract art ? Pic related.
I'm not sure why that's too important but At the moment I'm better at hard surface rather than sculpting. I'm still teaching myself Zbrush at the moment.
I made more effects for my puzzle game.
Because you made a claim and I want to verify it.
okay.
I went to the doctor and passed out when I got home.
What do you have m8?
cancer
Get well soon
