Got a PS4, played Fallout 4 and Destiny to death and wanting a new game. I don't have a particular genre I enjoy more than another. My decisions are of the following list, but any other suggestions appreciated:
> FFX HD (played and completed previously, is HD version worth it?) > Bloodborne - I've seen videos and it doesn't appeal, but understand the praise it gets > The Witcher 3 - currently my number 1 consideration > No Man's Sky - despite the negative press, I like the look of it > Resident Evil 7 > FIFA 17
I can probably afford 2 of these, if I buy preowned....
What would Sup Forums recommend?

Sorry and FF15 is an option, my favourite game of all time is FF7 however have disliked basically everything SE has been responsible for...

> Bloodborne - I've seen videos and it doesn't appeal, but understand the praise it gets >seen videos >seen Also, just playing normies games will never unleash your PS4 to it's full potential

What's wrong with "I've seen"?
What would you recommend then?

Bloodborne will truly reveal it's glory when your experience it first hand. Try Yakuza 0

Yeah I'm thinking maybe I might actually give Bloodborne a proper go and see what it's like

I found DS3 to be better than BB. It was my favorite game from last year so I would check that out
MGSV is also pretty good, a lot of people clown the game but it is really well made. Just kill Quiet (unless you really care about achievements) and dont expect much of a spectacle

Also do not get resident evil 7 unless you have the VR. It isnt worth more than $20 but im sure the novelty of playing it in VR would be pretty cool.

I loved the MGS series, except from MGS4, so was thinking that as an option too. I don't have as much time to play anymore is the main problem - I also think I'm losing my enthusiasm for vidya as I'm getting older, so looking for something to rekindle that feeling too.

Yeah my friends got the VR with RE7 so was gonna just give that a go before getting one - probably not until price came down anyway tbf

Buy fifa and bloodborne. Pirate everything else on pc. Congrats you now get to play them all.

FIFA and No Mans Sky

>AAA shit
all garbage except for bloodborne

Buy No Man's Sky twice

sorta this. still a fun game, but not worth it to buy. I rented it, beat it in 3 days. $9 rental. worth it.

Try Bloodborne. I didn't like DS or soulslike games at all before I played it.
Don't get No Man's Sky. Mass Effect Andromeda is coming out soon, and even if it's Sup Forums's worst fear and complete SJW dogshit, it will still be better than No Man's Sky.
If you're mainly looking for immersion and the ability to sink a ton of hours into something, try the Uncharted collection.

Top recommendation is Yakuza 0. It's a prequel to the franchise so it's fine if you haven't played the games before; it's the first Yakuza game I've played, and I gotta say, I'm having a blast. The Witcher 3 is a huge time vampire, but well worth it, just be prepared to get super absorbed into playing it for long periods of time. Best western RPG out there right now. Don't get No Man's Sky. It has a neat artistic presentation but that's really it. Bought it the first week it was out and regret it. Even just pure exploration is made tedious by constantly having to "recharge" shields and thrusters every 2 minutes. If I see the menu from that game again, I'll hurl. Bloodborne is fun if you like the Souls game-type that's popular right now, Nioh is a Japanese folklore spin on the Souls formula and that just came out I think. Lastly, if you never got the chance to play them, get the Uncharted collection and Uncharted 4. They're both marked down right now so if you want a neat action/adventure game to get into I'd look into them.

The Witcher is fucking great m8

Not that guy but dude it seriously is. It took me awhile to get it but it's just so well made. Feeling more comfy in the second play through & unraveling the lore is second to none. The game is truly a masterpiece; you might not think so immediately but hold your opinion until you beat it. It's just that kind of game. I guarantee you will want to play again. Plus, it's like $20 brand new.

I know that bulge.

NMS is not worth it. period. I torrented it to see if it was that bad and, well, it was.
