I highly doubt it, while western players often mostly just care for the story, in Japan it's still mainly popular for gameplay and manages to outdo GG consistently at the arcades. Hell, even Mori's next non-fighting game project is specifically stated to not be part of the BB franchise.

I have mained Taokaka and Hakumen in the past. I'm best with Hakumen but find Taokaka more fun.
