Gameplay is fantastic, story and characters are okay. Some are decent like the bunny girl in the OP and others are abysmal and drag the whole thing down like seraphina. It's also one of the least grindy disgaea games from what I heard.

It might have been even less. After like 60 hours I've read up on a tactic to max out your characters. All I needed was that main guy to defeat the last boss on the hardest difficulty setting and a sage to clear the room beforehand.

D5+ Season Pass on PS4 + a vita for remote play is cheaper lol.

I loved it. Item world is still amazing way to lose yourself and waste a few hours in what feels like a couple of minutes.

Yep, Disgaea is a perfect fit for handhelds and remote play on my Vita doesn't look so great. DLC included is the cherry on top.

I'm not the retards who argue you should get a PS4, Vita and the game on PS4 and I think if you're already getting a switch then you probably should get disgaea 5 but remote play on the vita is as good as your wifi allows for it. You can stream a game to your vita in 1080p if your set up allows it, saying "it doesn't look so great" basically means that your internet is too slow.

Vita has a 540p screen, and the quality isn't as good as my hdtv. Though it at least looks better then the wiiu pads abysmal screen.

Real bummer no new scenarios or characters as every portable port has had. I get the feeling this was rushed for launch, but also because nis could be in financial problems. Some probably weren't all bad. There are good people who got turned into prinnies also, like Kurtis, who wound up in Celestia when he died, or Laharl's mother.
Plus not all demons care for the status quo, i.e Etna. The people at Toto Bunny already don't like to fight, they probably treat Prinnies as maids and pets instead of slaves.

That's just how things are.

Celestian prinnies aren't treated like garbage and earn living wages I think. Prinnies earn their reincarnation with good deads via Celestia or literally paying it off with money in netherworlds.

I just wish the stuck with the lore they were going to establish in Makai Kingdom in that Prinny suits are stitched together by these little fairy things. Human souls are unstable which is why they explode and ones like Baal or any prinny with a demon soul (like the ones in Makai Kingdom) don't.

Not all of them, probably just Val's netherworld, as there are Netherworlds with powerful demons who very seldom interact with humans at all (D1's Netherworld)
If you ask me, Fear/Awe energy was a lame plot device to tie everything together as quickly as possible. It made demons and angels out to be shitty parasites who would've been happier if humans remained in the Dark Ages, really glad no one talks about it in later games.

Prinnies in the heaven realm basically work for pro bono and are basically in charge of menial chores. Flonne explicitly mentions that they're not given any pay. However, they're treated better than in the Netherworld, and their work does add to their reincarnation points. Once they've accumulated enough points, they're allowed to pass on.

Essentially, Prinnies are pretty much slaves in the heavenly realms, yet in an interesting reversal, they're still treated better than in the demon realms.

Celestian prinnies work for charity and earn their reincarnation this way while Netherworld Prinnies work ridiculous hours for less than less than minimum wage which is used to pay for their reincarnation.

Only the one stuck in netherworld, the one in heaven pretty much just helper/housekeeper because they don't get to send to become kamikaze units by their master.

They work without pay. That's technically slavery. But their working conditions are far more humane than in Laharl's Netherworld.

Mind you, it's stated that Etna tends to treat her Prinnies worse than pretty much any other demon. Laharl doesn't interact with them much, but the few times he does, he's generally kinder to them, so long as he doesn't believe they're trying to kill him.

Valvatorez is strict, but ultimately fair to Prinnies who don't step out of line. Etna is the literal Devil. All other demons don't seem to treat prinnies too badly, I mean they get treated like shit and seem to keep not getting paid, but no one is Etna level of abusive. There really aren't too many examples however, since Prinnies aren't major plot points outside of D1 and D4.

the prinny logic was kinda abandonned after D1, where you needed to reincarnate as a prinny if you wanted to change from monster class or humanoid.
The lore was always vague about what is the difference between a humanoid demon and a monster, outside of weapons. Especially with some monster class being extremely humanoid like the succubus and catgirls.
I'll just say like that green dragon in Laharl's palace. It's just unfair.

You're better off playing ZHP which is better in every aspect I can think of. Games like Trillion are better off forgotten.

There should be a game where one of the main characters is a Prinny, and how you treat them can determine the ending you get. If you throw them around too many times, you get a bad ending. If you throw them even once, you get a normal ending. And if you don't throw them at all and have high likability with them, they reincarnate and you get the best ending.
