It's more a generalised "interacting with kids" thing. Generally women are still expected to take to children naturally, while it's odd for grown men.
Maybe I've just got outdated assumptions of how normalfags behave nowadays and amongst 20-somethings it's perfectly fine for grown men to play games with children who aren't their direct relatives.
