Less grass on the lower image

>less grass on the lower image
>less detail in terrain and texture on the upper image

Seems like it doesn't matter if you chose the Wii U or the Switch version. Both will be missing something the other has.
Sad, really.
How did this happen?

b-b-but muh different t-time of day

DELETE THIS

I'd go with switch, the colors and terrain variance are more important to me than grass density
Also you can actually see the sky

there hasn't been any WiiU footage for a while, the biggest difference might be the builds themselves. Could have scaled the grass back for both, wont know until we see some recent WiiU gameplay.

>grass density isn't that important to me

super fucking casual

DELETE THIS RIGHT NOW!

You should actually read what people say, user. Grass density is nice but when forced to choose between a bland, washed out world with high grass density and a colorful one I'll pick the second.

I dont understand what the fuck they did to the game or why it is so fucked up.
The Switch version have more draw distance and better textures, while the Wii U has better lighting.
Is it because its a port?

According to Aonuma, both version will be exactly the same, in graphics and in framerate. So unless he's lying (which is a completely plausible possibility), we're all getting bottom image.

The Switch footage runs on a newer build of the game.
Also, for some technical reason I don't really understand, direct feed on Wii U looks like shit color-wise, check out any off-screen footage and you'll understand what I mean.

Not him but that's because PiiU unironically doesn't support full RGB output, while even PS3 and X360 do.

It's just grass, OP.

Does not being able to see air bother you too?

It's stupid, but hey, as long as it doesn't affect the actual game and it's only for recordings I don't really care.

Are you a retard who's trying to bait? Both Wii U and Switch will have the bottom image.

im gonna sound like the biggest shill ever but the lower image actually looks better grass-wise. Top looks like they just went over the area with a grass-creation tool while the bottom appears much more natural. Also lighting, sky and textures are better/more highly detailed than on the top image.

Its kinda subjective so if you think the top looks better i can understand that

cherry picking

name of the artist?

My fear is that nice level of care isn't everywhere and a lot of places are going to look bland
Also the trees are low quality and a bit small, doesn't really give a good sense of scale, at least in the first region.

>worrying about the grass
The bottom clearly looks superior. I'm not a ninten-year-old, but the colors, draw distance, and variance in the terrain all look superior to the top. Fuck the grass. Would you really expect a nintendo machine to handle all that bloom and grass density?

dont know sorry, got it from Sup Forums. Reverse image search also doesnt show anything for me

yeah im feeling similar. I also hope the rest of the world doesnt look exactly like the Plateau. I know we have seen jungles and palmtree-beaches etc. but theres still the possibility of the world being 80% Plateau-looking areas

the Plateau looks nice but i dont want to see it all the time while playing

I don't know, that forest area they showed on that little gameplay on the game awards looked dense enough. Keep in mind that all those trees in the starting are cut-able.

We've seen the plateau, autumn-looking hills, deep forests, tropical areas, deserts (sandy and rocky), snowy regions, the wasteland area (the one around the castle) and there's more that we haven't seen.
Maybe it's just me being optimist for once, but I don't think diversity of areas will be a problem in this game.

oh i totally forgot about the desert, autumn forest etc.

im relieved now

You're right about the grass but the other comparisons really are better on E3 Wii U.

drawn distance is *much* better on the Switch pic.

Yes it is but other comparisons show drastically worse lighting and even simplified models.

I can't wait for the Wii U version.
