Nothing, the games i want are still months away.
>preordering.
I didn't because I'm not fucking retarded.
>lads
reddit is down hall the right
Why does preordering trigger Sup Forums so much? You're not losing any money. If you're dead set on buying a product, especially one that comes with pre-order bonuses or will be in high demand, then it makes sense.
>not scalping them and selling them for twice what they're worth.
>Why does preordering trigger Sup Forums so much?
they need something to shitpost about
consoles always have tons of issues at launch
>has to order an SD separately to get measly 256gb of space
Well, it's the same company that still sells chargers separately, and people still defend their shit.
>Why does preordering trigger Sup Forums so much? You're not losing any money.
When i wait till there are actual good games, pay $250 for it and 1-2 switch in a bundle and get bomberman for $20. I will have saved money yes. Especially when it is confirmed not to have technical problems (see ps3, xbox 360) and maybe i get a slimmer model with a better battery.
>If you're dead set on buying a product, especially one that comes with pre-order bonuses or will be in high demand, then it makes sense.
Except you aren't even giving it a chance to be good.
Look at retards preordering shit like NMS and watch_dogs. Turned out to be shit and they got burned hard but devs can keep doing it because retards keep blindly fucking buying it. The game doesn't cease to exist in a week or two. Resist being bought by a shiny digital comsetic that should be included with the fucking game to begin with. Besides switch doesn't even have a bonus.
Buying a game purely off marketing is stupid.
Some people just want to play a game as soon as it comes out. Nothing wrong with that.
Well at least wait a fucking day to see if the game is good or not. Jesus.
Consoles obviously wait for a non launch model. But it's not like it's gonna cease to exist in a month.
You forgot this mate
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP I NEED TO PLAY ZELDA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
nintendo consoles hardly ever do
First 3DS model was complete shit
wii u did
user the people preordering here are the same people who paid $250 to get that day one. Please don't trigger their ptsd.
I have a wifi, lad
It still surprises me that people buy screen protectors. Same as phone cases. Are you people really that clumsy?
Not for vidya i take extreme care of that shit. But i take my phone everywhere throw it around drop it etc. Obviously i need to protect it. Especially when it's deigned to be fucking broken these days
it feels better if you have a protection. you never know
here 1100 € combined
>feels better if you have protection.
Someone's never gone rawdog.
Knock off the travel pouch and the microSD card and I pre-ordered the same.
Pre-ordering is best if you want new hardware at launch, it helps to ensure you actually get what you want when something is high in demand.
Pre-ordering yet another triple A release is dumb though, if it's not just to secure the purchase.
My friend is the same fucking way.
>Hurrr you're such a fucking retard if you preorder
>Guaranteeing myself a copy of a game that I know I'm going to buy makes me retarded
>Got a special edition Xenoblade X that sold out in five seconds I wouldn't have gotten if I didn't preorder
>Got a copy of Dragon Quest 7 that only had like 35,000 copies distributed and is still sold out
Woooowwwww I'm so retarded goooood
Also I preordered the red/blue switch, Zelda, a pro pad, and the Joycon dock that isn't fucking retarded and charges the Joycons
Why do you want new hardware at launch?
>that pic has about $600 worth of shit in it
>to play fucking baby Nintendo games in 30 fps
LOL
because we want to play top tier video games
>buying a console with no games just because it's new and shiny
Zelda looks okay but why would anyone want to soil their experience by playing in 900p at sub-30 fps. CEMU exists for a reason. Unless you're an impatient retard which I guess most console users are.
...
Switch
BOTW SE for that sweet carrying case
And I'll probably buy a screen protector for it soon
Already have a 64gb microsd I plan on tossing in it
Day one I'll most likely grab something cheap and multiplayer off the eshop
Later on I'll probably get a pro controller
NOTHING and it looks like I won't preorder ANYTHING because no announced Monster Hunter yet. Gonna keep on waiting, suckas
Literally all of that but the game should've been included for the same price.
What a shame on Nintendo. But even more shame on you for being such a cock sucker and paying... $500? on all that
>that'll be $1000 sir
Why would you do that to your wallet?
>screen protectors should be included
Those are and forever will be transaction fluff. Fuck outta here, entitled bitch man. Same with the case. Here's what a Switch should come(cum) with
>the switch
>joy cons
>joy con insert
>dock
>charger
>one (at least) okay game and one (at least) shitty game
But you probably smile for the bukkake camera when you buy your phone, sd card, screen protector, case, and apps all separately, huh? You should go outside, find an adult, and just ask them what the real world is like cos damn dude
L.I.T.E.R.A.L.L.Y. spending 10x more money on hardware than software (which is the whole reason to get hardware in the first place)
K
I
K
I'll concede on the above points, but considering the Switch is just coming out I don't think it's fair to compare the two. They account for different needs, it's like comparing a motorcycle and a car. Sure, they have the same overall purpose but the two appeal to different markets. The PS4 had nothing but multiplats and Knack at release. I've had mine since 2014 and while I love it, dear fucking god all it's done is collect dust until GR2 and 2.8 came out.
Gonna use a little bit of my tax return to cover it all. Will probably pre-order a hori screen protector.
Whoops, meant to quote
I'M FIRED UP AND TIRED OF THE WAY THAT THINGS HAVE BEEN
DON'T YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK THAT I CAN BE
I'M THE ONE WITH THE SAIL
I'M THE MASTER OF MY SEA
So do i.. Still don't get it.
Switch
Zelda
Bomberman
Link bow and arrow amiibo
Need to get a pro controller somehow.
>special edition of a game AND all the amiibo
I hope the game is good for your sake, man
>literally no argument
Sorry that you like your games below 30 fps. I'll be playing Zelda the way it was meant to be played.
I'm also getting the nenderoid. And own a lot of Zelda merch already. Would've gotten the master edition but my work schedule fucked me and i'm not paying ebay prices. Lucky I got the special edition as is.
You only need a lot of space on the Switch if you're going to download games.
Due to Switch games being on a cartridge, the save files will not pile onto the internal memory of the Switch.
>wait a day
>sold out everywhere
>preorder
>can decide to return it
I just got a switch and zeruda preordered, I should get a screenguard asap though.
What about patches and DLC?
>tfw you finally got to preorder a Switch after weeks of everything being sold out
I made it lads, I finally made it.
Also I'm getting BotW Special Edition.
Give me ONE good reason to buy a Switch before Super Mario Odyssey.
You can't.
The console and botw. I'm holding out for some strong eShop titles. I wanna get snipperclips, Binding of Issac, Shovel Knight and Stardew Valley
Maybe 1,2 switch or bomberman
>Playing Zelda the way it was meant to be played
>On a PC
Also isn't CEMU starting to get locked behind a patreon thing?
...
Splatoon 2?
It's one of my most wanted games, but I know some people aren't that into it.
What's the purpose of pre-ordering again?
I'll just play Splatoon on my Wii U, gotta get that S+ rank.
To have it day one. It's sold out for the first few shipments through April.
>Bought Shovel Knight on 3DS, Wii U, and Xbone for all the exclusive content, and got the amiibo
>Resolve not to get it again
>Specter of Torment will release first on Switch
In the case of a Nintendo console and games, making sure you get one, especially in the rural area I live in, they get fuck all for stock
Pre-ordering toys.
>256gb
do you plan to go full digital or something?
64gb is enough, 128gb is more than you'll need 100% sure
ninty games are small and you should buy all first party stuff physical anyway, digital is for tiny eshop shit
What of we get one of those cases of dysfunctional day one hardware, like sony and microshill did throughout this generation.
Literally everything hardware released was broken day one.
>adding shit like the controller, dock and charger as things that should be in any list for the standard bundle
What, are you going to say "woah dude, but the Xbox360 includes a powerbrick!!!" holy fuck, of course Nintendo is literally the only company that sold a fucking charger seperately (with any console that required one) ever, so it's no wonder your mind so this fucked.
Pic related is SO very (you)
PS4 was also a shit purchase at launch. Every console is. But at LEAST it had current games, while both WiiU and Switch got/get multiple old ports instead of new games.
For example: PS4 got the latest Assassin's Creed from Ubisoft, meanwhile the Switch is getting Rayman, a 4(?) year old game, instead of a current release like For Honor which comes out less than a month before Switch's release.
Another example is Bethesda, which is porting a 6 year old game (Skyrim) at the end of this year, instead of any of their 2017 games like Prey.
And finally it was the first time console games had complete parity with PC games, so they were appealing to console-only owners. Battlefield on the 360/PS3 had maps half the size and had half the player limit. Battlefield4 on Xbone/PS4 had the full experience with the same maps and the same 64 player limit.
So yes while both PS4/Xbone got a lot of multiplats they at least were current ones.
And while in retrospect none of them were great, as least PS4 launched with 3 exclusives on day one, 2 of them being new IPs (Knack and Resogun), not a port of a game that should've come out years ago, a game that was teased since WiiU's announcement.
Also notice the difference between Switch's 5 games and PS4's... 26 launch games, 3 of which are free-to-play for everyone (so you could consider them bundled games), 4 if you has PS+ (as Resogun was that month's "freebie")
Meanwhile 1,2,Switch!, the most obvious pack-in game of all time, isn't packed in and costs 50€
REALLY big contrast with release libraries.
to secure something you want
Because you're willingly spending money on something that isn't even out yet. You don't even know if the thing you want is going to come out good. That's the video game equivalent of letting a big black men ramming your wife and enjoy watching it.
What about digital pre ordering? :^)
Nintendo's cartridge based consoles have had a better track record, but if it shits the bed, you tell Nintendo that your new toy broke, and they replace it
System, zelda less special edition, splatoon artbook and waiting for a special edition of splatoon for that, debating bombermang. Might pick up a pro controller at launch on my way to class.
Should I order an SD now or wait until there are games confirmed for it?
I preordered the console, Zelder Scrolls and Super Bomberman R. I might consider getting a pro controller and Arms
>Because you're willingly spending money
didn't spend a single cent
>You don't even know if the thing you want is going to come out good
nintendo is literally the only reason why I still play video games. they always deliver. always
>preordering anything
Literal cancer of the game industry
>No pokemon released yet
its shit fuck off
>nintendo is literally the only reason why I still play video games. they always deliver. always
Just like they delivered with the Wii U right?
absolutely. they had by far the best games of this generation
I didn't buy a wii u and I still wouldn't have been disappointed with what they got because it was pretty good and everything but pc wasn't.
Will buying a Switch make my crippling depression go away?
Nigga, it's Zelda. I'm playing it no matter what reviews are. The reviews are going to be good anyway. Reviewers gave Skyward Sword a 98/100 and it wasn't even that good.
for a month.
do you like fun?
Nothing until games come out.
You have a great point about multiplats there and I agree that Nintendo needs to step it up. I've been fellating them for years but I can admit that any day. However, they've at least realized they fucked up and need third parties so that's good. 1-2 Switch should have been packed in (at least) as a download since it wouldn't have costed Nintendo anything.
Nintendo has a chance to make this library as awesome as the 3DS's, but I feel like they need to put a lot into marketing and mending bonds with third parties. I'm hoping that they fix the problems they caused with the Wii U, because I see a ton of potential in the Switch. I'm going to remain optimistic, but I won't be surprised if it fails. I'll be sad, but I won't be surprised. While I've loved Nintendo my entire life, it'd be really neat to see their games on PC and it'd maximize profits if mobile is any indication. It'd be a lot easier on my wallet too.
>everything was good and fine
Truly nintendrones are the most pathetic bunch
This only because it was $59.99. Of course I'll preorder when I get a special edition case for the same price as a normal game.
Fun sometimes makes the sadness go away yes.
I'm so hyped. I can't wait to fight all those giant enemies. I'm actually concerned these shrines have replaced traditional dungeons.
They've stated that they're separate things.
I said the charger should be included. You are a fool.
bye bye, shitposter!
then the answer is YES. in april you'll play MK8D with us and in summer, we'll have fun in splatoon 2!
Preordered two Snatches, two limited edition BotWs and a procontroller.
Will sell the duplicates,
When does Disgaea release?
>ninty games are small
No they aren't. Stop with this fucking meme, you sound like a Macfag with your "magical" filesizes. Nintendo 1st/2nd party games are as big as any other. And 3rd party games (if it gets any worth noting, which it wont) will be just as big.
GravityRush2 is a 17gb game, just like Zelda BotW. PLENTY of japanese games take up little space on any system. It's mostly western AAA games that go to 60gb+
Many people had problems with WiiU's 32gb storage when they wanted to install XCX packs for drastic improvements, they barely fit especially if you had any kind of DLC already installed, many had to purchase external HDD's JUST for XCX. Same thing happened to FatalFrame which only had a digital release in certain regions, so you NEEDED to get it digital
>you should buy all first party stuff physical anyway
Why? Why would I want to carry 10 cartridges with me? Why would I prefer to swap cartriges around while I'm outside instead of simply clicking the Home button and switching to another game?
Everyone else has gone 100% digital libraries for the past ~5 years. Why would I change my purchasing habits JUST for Nintendo? Why do I have to go back in time just to accomudate for their shitty practices?
Do you have any idea how hard it is to get physical copies on niche WiiU titles in my EU country? Not even niche games, just any non-mario game is hard as fuck to find and never on discount. Good luck if I ever see W101 or Bayo2 for instance. It's just a pain in the ass and I just KNOW the same will happen to Switch games. So yes, going 100% digital has a lot of advantages ESPECIALLY with nintendo that always do low-print runs and have very little retail space
I'm not the guy you replied to btw
>library as awesome as the 3DS
I can only hope. Their portable libraries are always vastly superior to their homeconsole libraries. But they've said 3DS will still be suported and might even get another sucessor, that just kills the Switch
THIS CASE BE LOOKIN DAMN FINE
...
I preordered 4 neon switches, 4 black switches, 6 neon controller sets, 4 pro controllers, 6 breath of the wild master edition box sets & I think a couple of those neon wrist straps.
