Which videogame companies should just die

telltale please stop

i agree, tale tell is fucking bad and doesnt even make games.

telltale threads are the only reason people haven't started ddosing Sup Forums yet

Really didn't mind them back when the Walking Dead was around but they really have put zero effort into improving themselves lately and are just looking to make as much cash off brand recognition as possible. They lost all respect when they agreed to make Minecraft Story Mode of all things.

Blizzard.

EA, so we can give the rights for Star Wars games to a better company.

well, if they fuck up they can just do another The Walking Dead season and and everyone willautomatically forgive them, fucking videogames man.

Blizzard for sure. Used to be the best dev studio. Now each year they manage to embarrass the Warcraft 3 legacy more and more.

all western shit.

which would you rather have?

>shit companies disband and spread their filth everywhere. you won't know who to trust.

>all the shit companies combine into a really big shit company, but continuously swallow all the other companies. your fav. company might end up falling.

Fucking ubisoft

not before they make a second season of TWAU and/or TFTB

I think Telltale still kinds of goes back and forth between hits and misses.

Thought that Tales from the Borderlands was genuinely enjoyable. But everything Walking Dead post-season hasn't been able to capture what made the first season good.

I actually like Telltale's Sam & Max but there's a lot of unfunny shit in it, specially some recurrent characters. The voice actors for Sam & Max just make it worth it, though.

Bioware
Bethesda
Gearbox
EA

Will Telltale ever do decent 3D and/or animations? Will they ever have lighting that doesn't suck major dick?

Bethesda all day every day.

Yeah I definitely gotta agree with this. Bethesda could implode tomorrow and anybody could get the rights to fallout or ES and do a better job. FO4 was embarrassing for how much fucking money they take in from both franchises

...

This post is nostalgia faggotry at its finest.

Hope not. I like their style.

There is nothing nostalgia about warcraft 3, my friend. Everything blizzard did after this game pretty bad.

All we want is to feed off the hype and nostalgia that gamers have so we can continue to get filthy stinking rich.

Why don't you wanna play our mediocre/shit-tier games, user?

Valve

That's not his point. His point is that wc3 is very basic in its story. Not saying it's bad, but you're acting like blizzard were some super good fallen writers that have gotten worse. They've always written basic fantasy schlock, wow has just upped the stakes to a stupid level, mixed in with disjointed mmo lore that has to take a backseat to gameplay.

TellTale needs to fuck off and die because their shit is getting old real fast

>QUICK user PICK A OR B
>uuhh A
>OH NO A DIED
>ok shit B
>B DIED TOO
>SURPRISE YOU HAVE NO CHOICE
>doesn't fucking matter anyway because whether you choose A or B they're still pretty much written out of the story anyway because there's no way to balance it

>Mom said it's my turn to kill the Batman
[Damage him]

Bah, try starcraft

Not only they made the shittiest Multiplayer they could, not only they ruined the story.

They literally killed the whole genre with sc2.

>sam and max season 4 never

That's not always true though. TWD 1 was a great example of "pick who lives" where you actually CAN pick sometimes.

Poker Night 3 fucking when?

>story
Whoa what now? W3 was godlike because of online. The singleplayer was meh even by its time standards. Story was always shit in blizzard games. They had great balance in online strategies and the world editor was the best thing ever created.

Yeah, exactly. No good games after W3.

I couldn't even get into walking dead episode 1 and everyone says it's 9/10 or even 10/10. It's too slow paced, it's boring. The first and last time I played a telltale game

[Character] will remember that.
They won't.

My bad user, thought you meant writing.

Nigga the full game is shorter than the tutorials of many games. Bitch about something if you want, but pace is not a serious problem in TWD1.

At one point I started up TWD at the same time my brother started up KH2, and I seriously fucking beat the full first season, all 5 episodes, before my brother could get even close to beating the tutorial (Roxas levels).

>Telltale has been using the same horrible engine for the past decade
>Used to make games with puzzles, now just makes CYOA games where your choices barely matter

IS it bad that I liked telltale batman.

I read the books and shit so maybe I'm just biased

Bioware
CD Projekt
Fromsoft
Atlus
Obsidian

There, I saved gaming.

They're basically new age point and clicks, I don't get why people shit on them so harshly and put them on this pedestal they were never on.

Anytime something gets unexpectedly more popular than people anticipate people jump on their soap boxes.

They've been making the same game over and over since way before they got the rights to TWD.

Not even aiming this at you, user. Just mean in general.

I guess you don't like rpgs much.

Doug/Carley had very few lines and were mostly irrelevant, don't kid yourself, the writing was just superior and hided the ilusión of choice better than the sequel, but it was the same shit.

...

>Brock will remember that

I do, just not bad RPG's. Which is why I singled out these companies.

They play that really effectively though. Some of the best twists are when they have [character] will remember that DIRECTLY followed by [character] dying.

People never seem to realize Telltale games are played as a character. It isn't simply the game saying "oh, this guy will remember that", it's the main character thinking "fuck, he'll remember this, I messed up" or "I did a good deed, they'll remember me now". Same with a LOT of stuff, like how people in this thread were already complaining how in some "pick who to save" options you can't save anyone: It's not the fucking game saying "one will survive, pick who", it's the character thinking "fuck, I can't do both, who do I try to save?"

Here's my personal list influenced by talking to devs that have worked at the respective companies
All of these should stop
>EA
>Capcom
>Konami (given)
>Ubisoft (as a publisher they're fine)
>Bethesda (also as a publisher they're fine)
>Microsoft (they're working on it at least)
>Sony (I'm a sonygger but even I know Mark Cerny needs to fucking stop)
>Blizzard

Granted these dying would leave almost nothing left but even then they either need to stop being Jews/disappointments/shitty companies

We're living in a very slow video game crash and there is nothing we can do about it unless they change it themselves

Sam and Max, TFTB, WD season 1, and the first two episodes of TWAU were GOAT, I still have some faith in them, though I haven't touched anything of theirs in a while.

Jagex. Everything they touch turns to shit.

Except the guys overseeing OSRS, they're pretty cool.

Telltale should be allowed to live if they only make lego games with no talking and from films

I think you're confusing Telltale with Traveller's Tales.

>Travelers tales
Fuck me

It's been so long

The Walking Dead Season 3 feels so much different from Season 1 of TWD its blowing my mind how vastly inferior the gameplay aspects now are. No hubs, no puzzles, no real choices yes, season 1 had some long lasting decision making and there were multiple endings for Season 2. Their games have no substance at all

Eletronic arts should just fucking off themselves already. They are not making any art.

Infinity ward should implode.

It's a shame they couldn't have at least kept the same level of variation that season one had for the sequels. Like shaping the long-term relationships between characters.

You'd think after the first story's unexpected success that they'd be able to flesh things out a bit more.

all is inferior to the glorious anime games I love to wank to

>wolf among among us sequel pushed aside for capeshit, borderbland and walking brain dead

I know life ain't fair but that doesn't mean I have to like it

>First episode is pretty good
>All the rest are disappointing as fuck
EVERY
SINGLE
TIME

It would most likely be shit anyways user. I mean look at their current catalog.

>Batman
rushed shit

>TWDS3
rushed shit

>Borelands
Shit to begin with

Its all $ now.

Borderlands is their best game actually, and I say that as someone who is not a Borderlands fan. It's the best comedic adventure game since the 90s.

Yeah, there's not much for puzzles, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the humor.

EA, Activision, and Ubisoft. No other video game company has even come close to the amount of damage done by these three.

>EA, Activision, and Ubisoft
>Not Obsidian and CDPR.
KYS

EA most of all. The higher ups deserve a special place in hell for the gutting of Westwood alone, yet that's just the highpoint of their many, many crimes against gaming.

CDPR is largely responsible for gog's revenue and gog is a good thing.
All obsidian does is produce shitty sequels that weren't going to be made by anyone else anyway.
Neither of them even come close to being as despicable as the other three.

Because he wants to play mediocre/shit-tier VN's and help his xenophobic-masters get rich off animu porn.

Jap-games appealing to the West is where it's truly at.

You forgot M$. They pretty much started the snowball themselves.

With how TWD Season 2/3 turned out, I sure as hell don't want a second season of TWAU.

Doug/Carley made enough differences to where it worked - they had different character arcs and made different contributions (be it killing zombies or making an alert system). TWD S2 completely dropped the ball on that, though, and gave its conditional characters a whopping six lines total past their time of potential death.

Every single AAA publisher needs to go
