Personally it got boring because the whole leveling experience was following events around.

Id take ESO just to try it but someone else would probably want it more
Still not sure how I played 1000 hours of gw2, I guess standing still in LA and using guild chat for long periods of time helps

i would honestly love eso, i wanted to get into it a few days ago when i found out beta players got a lil monkey fella as a pet, but was saddened to discover ESO wasnt actually a f2p game.

Endgame is non-existant
Content is really dull and there isn't much of it, patches barely bring anything new when they come out
PvP gets old really fast


ESO is a better sandbox mmo if that's your thing. GW2 is just mediocre, there's an MMO out there doing everything GW2 does but better

the combat is dull and gets old fast since you have the same moves as you do from level 1 to level 60

raids involve nothing but zerging from the respawn point back to the boss fight, they do so much damage its impossible to even tank anything in the game

It's sad, I tried it out and got bored and uninstalled after 5 minutes. If your mmo has quests like "Collect 5 bottles of monkey spunk" x500, then you have made a shit game.

Also daily reminder that a good mmo has yet to exist. Maybe one day.

Gw1 is a dead game, and probably not enjoyable if you didn't play it in its time.

HoT is a gigantic dumpster fire, but if you already enjoy gw2 you might as well play it.


You're better off just finding a better mmo to play. MMOs are still a pretty bad genre, but they're a lot better than they were 5-6 years ago. WoW, FF14, and Wildstar are all fine games. GW2 is decent if you can make friends and you're looking for a more casual experience. Just don't play gw2 hardcore, it's incredibly shallow and unfulfilling.
