What are some spiritual successors of Golden Sun for PC? It's 2017, for god's sake, there must be a game like this.

No one wants to copy bad games. Golden sun is generic and boring.
...
no u
What about Earthlock: Festival of Magic?
test
looks not bad
They never really managed to hook me with what they've shown from the battle system.
Are there some good clips out there?
Oh boy...
Whatt is the appeling of GS? Battles? Story? Characters?
Gameplay, aesthetics, combat system, Psynergy + Djinn system...
Which GS game should I start with?
It's a bright, upbeat game with good pacing and some great implementation of RPG formula variations, ranging from novel to brilliant.
It was a fairly decent JRPG on a system that was severely lacking in that genre.
In all honesty it's a pretty generic game. The story is awful and the dialogue went on for far too long. That said, the dungeons were fun to explore and the psynergy system felt really fun.
the first one, you mongoloid
If I recall correctly, Camelot started projecting a single game, but that was impossible with a simple GBA cartridge.
Just follow the release dates. 1, 2 (The Lost Age), and then 3 (Dark Dawn).
>tfw I still waiting for a GameCube Version of GS.
You're talking about a game that not even the original creators want to work on anymore. A large part of why Dark Dawn turned out the way it did was because it was just a cash in no one at Camelot wanted to do.
Just go play Wild Arms instead
I thought that was No (Wo)Man's Sky from the thumbnail.
>No one wants to copy bad games.
I know you think you're being so witty by hating on Golden Sun, but at least put some effort into it. People copy "bad games" all the damn time, assuming they're popular.
Oh boy, here we go...
Actually, a lot of the original staff was fired. Despite this, the director said he would be up for a new game if there's demand from fans. There's not; people would rather the series die than shit out another Dark Dawn.
I never owned a ds, so I never played DD. What was wrong with it? Bad story, or was the combat bad as well?
Dark Dawn is completely skippable.
it was the only jrpg i had on gba and the djinn system allowed for indepth character customization
>and the djinn system allowed for indepth character customization
That's a fucking lie
Fuck that I want a new one. I don't even care if it ends in a shitty way, fucking subverting the entire main quest 1/3rd of the way in and focusing on something akin to a sidequest for the rest of the game and then going "Oops yeah we were supposed to do that" at the end and leaving it off with a huge fucking cliffhanger that will probably never ever get resolved cheeses me. I just want closure.
I wish other games copied the Djinn system, it had so much potential...
last good weeb game i've played was the last remnant - the rest ranged from absolute trash to literal fanservice shovelware
japan died a lot of times and when it comes to videogames it's death is permanent
>That's a fucking lie
tfw you'll never change your class by assigning a Djinn.
You mean badly written with filler puzzles? Why would someone want to spiritually succeed that?
Boring story with incredibly unbelievable world-building (empires of furries rising up in the short time between TLA and DD), shitty characters, even worse dialogue than TLA, characters from the previous games missing for literally no reason at all, stupid fucking cliffhanger, hand-holding out the ass
what about the two sequels??
Being a child with brand loyalty
Does Wild Arms have puzzle solving like Golden Sun? If not what are some other RPGs that blend puzzle solving in?
>It's 2017
My gosh
>Golden Sun was Released on 2001
>Golden Sun 2 on 2003
>WE STILL HAVEN'T BEATEN ALEX
KILL ME FUCKING NOW
>characters from the previous games missing for literally no reason at all
The worst part is it's all characters from The Last Age. Felix is fucking missing entirely and I kept thinking they were going to reveal your new water adept was the son of Piers but NOPE.
>implying Alex doesn't join your party as the series continues to flip the good/bad dynamic on its head game to game.
Paper Mario series.
