Just finished the game. Joes kind of lose their scary factor once you realize they're much slower than you and offensive wise are the most pathetic enemies in the game so they end up becoming a big annoyance more than anything.
Their lines are pure gold though.

well like anything scary the longer you're exposed to it the faster you stop fearing it. That's what I hate most about horror games. They make one kind of enemy that never varies. It's scary for the first 20 minutes but then you know every potential action the AI can perform so it's just slightly stressful.
