How does Sup Forums justify piracy?

How does Sup Forums justify piracy?

Something about "I-it's not actually stealing it's just copying!" or some other made up bullshit.

In reality people pirate because they want free games. That's it. There is no justification.

Lack of appropriate refund measures and an obscuring of the final product via hype and lack of ways to see what the final product entails.

i'm poor and the only people it screws are petty west coast idiot who spend all their day raging about trump on twitter

if i had these magic industry ruining power that people said i have i would already have killed half the industry

I buy the game if it's good.
And so we get to another problem:
How do devs justify crying about piracy when they don't release demos anymore?

i just buy games where it's cheaper
so it's not illegal

Whoooooooo free shit!

It just works.

Why would Sup Forums need to justify it?

nothing to justify, i pirate because i'm a cheap fuck

Overpriced BS. I'll buy your game if it's reasonably priced and includes the whole fucking game instead of breaking it up into dlc.

If the game is actually good then I'll want it in my steam library just to get easy updates and achievements and workshop stuff. If not, I'm not even gonna play it so why pay?

I would steal anything if there isn't any consequences.

Video games is not an exception for me.

I think
Handcuffs can be sexy

The world has done me no favors so I don't see a reason to obey its rules.

"fuck you" i buy it later"

How would you justify piracy being wrong?

It's free

I want free shit and I want it now.

Pirates think they deserve better then others and lack a full sense of right and wrong. That is their justification.
In other words they are either juvenile or underdeveloped mentally..

There's nothing to justify, intellectual property isn't real.

t. chink.

Why should I pay for overpriced bullshit?

Poorfags should die.

you shouldn't if you don't want to but you shouldn't get what you haven't earned

The games I pirate are ones that where there are no new copies being produced and are not available on any digital storefront.

The only time I consider it justified is when a pirated version has certain obtrusive "features" removed. Simcity springs to mind.
I usually purchase a copy of something like that I intend to pirate; I know that doesn't make it right, but it helps me sleep easier.

I don't. I usually end up buying every game I pirate. Minus a few old ones that are too inconvenient to get my hands on.

>60 bucks for game
>30 for season pass
>30 more for dlc after season pass
>unoptimized PoS

Still waiting on some devs "earning" my money user.

How do you justify reposting the same thread over and over instead of thinking for yourself?

If it is on the internet, it is free

It's been proven that demos do nothing to stop piracy nor increase sales.

I dont have to justify shit. In fact, I think people that do justify it are fucktards. I like free shit. I would pirate the game even if it was $10.

Free > $10.

That being said, I buy stuff that I know I will enjoy because I played the previous game in the series or whatever. Got Yakuza 5 for about $15 on sale and I loved every hour of it. Put about 60hrs into it in total, one of the best games ever.

I think I need a cryptologist to help me crack this posts meaning.

I think it's a newfag using the t. meme incorrectly to imply that poster is someone who thinks the same way as him

I'm poor and can't afford 80$ for a game that may not work/is shit

I think that DLC, Early Access, Pay 2 Win, microtransactions, and subscriptions are a load of shit and that gaming hasn't innovated enough to charge this much.

That being said, pirating isnt justified either.

I do it, I won't attempt to justify it and recognize it's immoral and continue to do it anyway.

but if too many people follow suit with you it either...

will crash the market, just like what occurred with nabster in the music industry (I know you're too young to know what I'm talking about but look it up)
or
assuming that the money is ACTUALLY used for something, games will greatly decrease in quality to accommodate for a lower selling price

theres literally no way pirating is fair since the benefits of not having to paying full price for something in no way can ever be distributed across the entire consumer base

today games aren't worth torrent's bandwidth anyway
