Luffy's powers aren't necessarily getting bigger besides Haki, he's just learning to make better and smarter use of the fact that he's made of rubber. Where are you looking to find hyped discussion? In Bleach, when the Thousand Year War started and someone important died or used a previously unseen Bankai, threads quickly appeared. In all the time I've been here I've never seen anything about One Piece ever mentioned (except maybe a thread when that fight I mentioned happened) and most One Piece threads die quickly with little to no discussion. I'm aware One Piece gets discussed on Sup Forums, but most anime is anyway.

Pretty much this. Game looks and plays very nicely, I'm not too picky about the roster either but that story mode was just unacceptable. I thought Marineford was the opening to the rest of the story mode not its entirety. They're not doing shit with it though because I believe it bombed.

The Doflamingo arc was crazy fun, and it's been a while but I remember enjoying Punk Hazard a lot as well. Doflamingo is the first "real" boss they've gone up against since the timeskip, and it kicked all sorts of ass.

also the strawhats need more rushdown characters. Too many zoners, trappers, reactionary brawlers, etc. The closest thing to rushdown we have is luffy because of his speed, but then again, he's not really that fast unless he's really trying. rabbit just seems naturally fast without having to use any special abilities like the deer or luffy. also she brings more diversity to the crew

After that arc comes Punk Hazzard. It's kinda bad but still better that Fishman Island. And after PH, comes Dress Rosa, one of the best OP arcs ever. Literally 10/10

I think it just changed with the tone of the series. The earlier style was a lot cartoonier and the new style is a lot more, serious, I guess? Everybody has huge muscles / curves and are more like super hero designs than the big-headed cutesy style from the beginning.
Fire doesn't exist without fuel, so pouring super heated rock (lava/magma) over the fire would likely just consume the fuel much faster.
