What could've gone right?
What could've gone right?
It could have been developed by non shit devs.
Also WW1 is shit
It could have been..
>WW2
>Maps designed like Amiens and not the giant open ones they gave us
>Region lock keeping all of asia off NA servers
>More than a handful of weapons per class
>Not letting Symthic do weapon balance
>Not making vehicles untouchable
>A better battlepack system as well as more skins and options
>Actual information shown in the server browser like ticket count
>Battlelog features like Platoons from the start
>Not waiting for consoles to allow you to patch and leaving the game a buggy mess for months
etc
If DICE LA came back
...
your mum couldve aborted you as to avoid more of these shit threads
heavy tanks are ridiculous
Giant open maps is the foundation of Battlefield. One off urban maps like Karkand/Amiens are good but not as a whole game. That is where you get BF3 and 4's maps which is half urban.
>remove 3D spotting entirely
>Assaults get semi-autos
>medic get like 80% bolt actions with no scopes till later on and a few semi-autos
>scouts get all the medic bolt actions and new ones, but no semi-autos
>Supports are the same
So basically, get rid of all the Assault's weapons.
Nearly every map in BF4 was wide open and it was not fun to play, nearly every BF1 map is wide open and it isn't fun to play.
It's possible to do "open" maps without doing stupid shit like Sinai where literally 80% of the map is featureless desert with zero cover. It's entirely within their ability to place cover between the flags and allow people to move around with some enjoyment.
I am not going to argue for the desert maps. they are all dogshit and the operation is always dead as it should be.
I think the rest are fine.
BF4 had Dawnbreaker and Siege of Shanghai aka two of the worst maps they've made in the last 10 years. The only type of map that is worse is Metro and not-Metros
>No scopes on the bolt actions
>More bolt action rifles in general
>gibbing/gore
>artillery shelling
>better environmental destruction
>poison gas serving more of a purpose
>being able to create your own soldier to avoid this EVERY SNIPER IS BLACK bullshit
>Vehicles untouchable
You're just shit mate.
>French Army DLC shown
>medic is Arab
>assault is black
REALLY MAKES YOU THINK
Can't wait for the Russian Army to be shown and have
>female scout
>asian medic
Poison gas is incredibly useful. What more do you want it to do?
>Lasts for 22 seconds (getting nerfed to 15)
>Basically BF3 suppression
>Leaks through solid structures
>Forces gas masks so enemies can only hipfire
slow everyone the fuck down. moving targets are fucking impossible to kill outside of 20m.
>anybody who made negative comments about the game was just a hater who never played the beta
>those voices are drowned out by "haha wow chill, it's fun tho" xD in every thread
>game is a casualized piece of shit with dwindling playerbase
Turns out it was just the flavor of the month. People don't stick around and play shooters for hamster wheel unlocks if the core gameplay is an abortion.
I can see black soldiers in the French and Ottomans, but why Germany, America and Britain? It makes zero sense. Also I think the Arab is supposed to be an Indian from the British Raj. And I rather see a woman soldier fighting for Russia than a black one. They did actually have a small battalion of woman to serve as propaganda.
Shanghai is better than every map in BF1 aside from Amiens.
>like 15 people are on random rooftops after jumping out of helicopters
I've got about 800 hours on Engineer in BF4 and nearly all of my gameplay in BF1 is about removing tanks, the issue is the tools given.
The AT nade is nice but moves slowly and has limited range, the AT rocket is the most frustrating thing in the game requiring you to go prone to use it. Trying to go prone means you'll die to something or other, and trying to deploy it on a wall only works sometimes and will usually blow you up. Even if you hit a heavy with a rocket you do about 12-16 damage while the tank is immune to any form of mobility hits, repairs itself instantly, and can shield repairasites.
I really enjoy operations
Should have a wider AoE and be more fatal.
I was wondering about this. In the beta it seemed nobody could put a dent in tanks and they usually rolled around powerhousing everything in their way. I chalked it up to people not working as a team or low level AT weapons, but it sounds like it's still an issue.
