I want to get a ps4 or an xbone but I'm not sure which.

>I wanted to play red dead but you can play it on either, even though you gotta pay monthly for that psnow bull shit for ps4
>been a fan of halo since I was a little shit
>uncharted and nioh both look sick
>ffxv is available on both
>red dead 2 is coming out on both

help pls Sup Forums, what do you guys recommend? Gamestop's also doing a deal where you can get a preowned $39.99 game if you buy a refurbished/preowned xbone or ps4 if that matters.

It's the same on Xbox, the only difference is Live is probably still leagues ahead of PS4

Uncharted is more style over substance if the first 3 are anything to go by. I've not played the 4th but it's a skippable series unless nice graphics and cool set pieces are your thing.

I think PS4 has a lot more exclusives lined up in the near future in comparison to the Bone though.

PS Now is a different subscription fee from PS plus. On Xbone you own your last-gen games.

Wtf are you talking about?

You gotta pay for psnow, as well as ps plus. Xbox lives 1 payment.

Get a dreamcast and a hooker

I don't know why anyone would buy a microsoft product. They both have the same games but ps4 has better exclusives plus jap games.

I'll bet you money that Halo 6 is coming to PC this fall.
It happened with Forza. It happened with Gears. It happened with Dead Rising. It happened with ReCore. It happened with Sea of Thieves.

It even happened with Halo 5's Forge mode.

Uncharted 4 is pretty good. Not as good as 2, but better than 3 and 1 in terms of gameplay.

Ps4 has all the good weeb games and the multiplats have way more players on ps4. Halo is a dogshit franchise now.

I've heard that microsoft games were going to be released for PC, you guys think that might include the Halo series? Cause if it does that pretty much means PS4 for me

>or an xbone
Not even an option in 2017. My friend that has an enormous Xbox360 library won't even buy one.

Looks like it's ps4 boys. thanks for your help Sup Forums

psnow is a rental service that is optional. Also it's not comparable to backwards compatibility. You pay for it and can play 450+ games. Nobody owned that many last gen games.

see
Halo 5: Forge came to PC. Even got a server browser.
Halo 6 is a very likely bet.

>Still, we wondered if Microsoft might keep certain special franchises Xbox exclusive as a weapon in its battle with Sony for the console market. According to Xbox head Phil Spencer, however, that's not the case. Speaking to PC Gamer yesterday, Spencer said he's "not about putting content only on console to manipulate Windows gamers to go buy an Xbox."

>"The reason somebody wants to go buy an Xbox—or I’ll just say a game console, yes I’d love if they bought an Xbox—is they want to sit 10 feet from their television screen with a controller in their lap looking at a television playing a videogame," said Spencer. "It’s a different experience from playing on PC. I’m not saying it’s better or worse, it’s just different. Halo 5 absolutely could be played on a PC. There’s nothing about that gameplay mechanic that doesn’t work."

>So why no Halo 5 on PC? Spencer says that Microsoft and 343 Industries are looking to the future. "Honestly the answer with Halo 5 is, I can go take last year’s game, rework it to go on PC, or I can have 343 look forward in what they’re going to go do," said Spencer. "You could say I’m cheating a little bit by doing a half thing with putting Forge on PC, because we kind of have the tools working on PC to see what happens, but this is what we did with Forza, with Apex. I said, 'This isn’t a full Forza game. Going forward, we’re going to bring our Forza games to PC complete.'"

If you have a sizeable 360 library that youre still interested in, get an xbone. The controller is the best ever made, the games are virtually identical, and xbox live will always be better than psn. Shooters and multiplayer games in general just feel natural on xbone too if that matters, and if youre a halo fan theres mcc and halo 5 which are must haves if youre a fan. You sound like you dont really care about that anime shovelware that virgins here pretend to care about, so thats a negative on the ps4 side. You can play red dead redemption on xbone.

You sound like youd prefer the xbone ultimately.

You can already play halo 5 customs on pc with a server browser

Other big name microsoft franchises like gears and forza are already on pc

Halo 6 is all but confirmed for win 10 release. If you have a decent pc getting a bone is a big mistake.

Get a PC??? Faggot???

Already have a PC??? Faggot???

Do you have any 360 games you wanna keep playing?

Get a PS4 then. All of ms exclusives are going to win10

if you don't have a PC like I don't have get a Xbone

What if OP is on Windows 7 and wants to keep it that way??

>Reading comprehension

He's saying that if he wants to play red dead 1 it's cheaper on xbone because you can just get the game and play it in backwards compatibility. On ps4 you have to pay for psnow.
