Will you be playing it?
If so, why?
If not, why?
Will you be playing it?

If not, why?
I enjoyed the demo, but I'll hold off on it. I don't wanna pay $60 + Season Pass + Tip if the online community dies off in a couple of months.
The beta? Certainly.
The full game? Absolutely not.
>Why?
It's not worth paying for.
Game rocks.
Time will tell if it's worth it.
Much like Siege.
Already preordered it... not gonna play the beta this weekend tho so I don't burn out on it.
Prob should tho cause last beta I played I got whooped.
>no lawbringer
What the fuck fuck you ubisoft
When does open beta start? how many hours?
Yes.
I need tips from niggas who've played a lot of Vikings. How I do be good with Berserker/Warlord?
>more shill threads
Looks fun, downloaded the beta on Xbone. If someone I know gets it I will, otherwise probably not.
is this morhaufag
Spend more time blocking than attacking.
If you do get a hit, mash out more and overwhelm.
Really didn't enjoy the beta. Shit game desu. Everything felt clunky as hell.
PC?
Well the characters are wearing 150 pounds of armor and wielding another 20-30 in their weapon. Its supposed to be like that.
No, don't have his copypasta either
but he's right
How do you feel about the Souls games or Monhun?
Or just other locked animation action games.
Block and practice parries.
Always tech shoves with your own shove.
Dodge when they're orange.
These tips work for all classes.
........and that's supposed to excuse the gameplay? If I wanted to play a simulator, I'd look for one. This is supposed to be a videogame aka entertainment
Berserker is basically PK with less options but monster block strings once you get rolling, you need to play defense and slowly work your way in until you get an opportunity (parry, dodge attack or a heavy attack feint into guard break).
yeah...bought gold like a piece of shit (cd key site of course) but idc I've been pretty good with my money lately and I've been depressed so I figured i'll treat myself.
Doesn't this game play like a fighting game?
So you spend time in these threads that you think are shill threads why?
Can you play the game with a controller? Or an arcade stick?
Kys faggot
Just because someone makes a thread asking if somebody will be playing it doesn't make it a shill thread
Never played Monster Hunter.
I liked the Souls games. I played a lot of DS1 and DS2. Played an hour or so of DS3
if you would get burned out on it over the free beta weekend why not just play that and get your enjoyment from the game for free??
It plays more like Street Figher than even SFV does so yeah its got a lot in common.
If the game was $40 I'd buy it. But they're obviously trying to jew out the full $60 with a shoddy single player ''campaign'' so the deal's off.
Pretty much this. The game doesn't have enough to offer and too many negatives to warrant a 60 bux pricetag.
>uPlay
No.
Yeah
Free open beta, so why not.
Ubisoft needs all the viral marketing they can get, it's why their shitty games always have threads.
What the fuck am I reading?
Going to try the open beta.
I'm not expecting much.
Will play open beta, will give thoughts after that
>no lawbringer
>no shugoki, literally the only redeeming weeb
I'll still probably play though
It's on steam too.
The hyperbole salt of fighting game fans.
hyperbolic*
and I guess. I like SFV.
Having played the closed beta of For Honor, I can say that there are virtually no similarities between the two games aside from being games.
That Street Fighter V (due to many fundemental issues within the game) plays much differently to other fighting games for the worse.
Where as For Honor actually applies these basic fighting game fundamentals very well for a fun experience (footsies, defensive play, reads, mind games, spacing and whiff punishment ect.)
>It's on steam too.
Ubisoft games on Steam still require you to log into Uplay in order to play them.
Although, interestingly enough, it mentions "Ubisoft Account" rather than Uplay, as with all the other Ubisoft games.
>Well the characters are wearing 150 pounds of armor
30-60lbs. Modern soldiers carry way more than that in battle.
>20-30 in their weapon
A Zweihander, which is way bigger and heavier than anything in this game, weighed six pounds.
People overestimating the weight of medieval arms and armor is my trigger.
Played closed beta with the Warden and duels only.
Preordered standard edition.
No
1. Ubisoft are lying, stealing cunts
2. P2P
3. Generic shitty Ubisoft combat system
4. There are far better sword n board games to be playing
5. Will be boring as fuck in a month/dead as fuck in a month anyway
Should have been a F2P game if they wanted it to be alive
What I'm worried about is how bad the microtransactions are, how much have they talked about them?
Sometime tomorrow morning.
Cancelled my preorder, it's not a bad game from what I've played but there's too many games coming out and I feel I won't have enough time at getting gud in this one.
Prob gonna grab it at discount price tho, which will come soon enough, after all it's Ubisoft.
>If not, why?
I really enjoyed the 2v2 and 1v1 duel modes. But I hated the Dominion mode (or whatever it was called).
So while it was fun, it's not $60 worth of fun. I'll wait till there's a decent sale to pick it up. Hopefully it won't be a dead game by then.
Unfortunately, most Ubisoft games require you to download and log into Uplay even though you bought it on Steam.
Really fucking annoying to deal with when I just want to play Rayman Legends.
No. Because Ubisoft is a trash company.
>Trash company makes bad games
>People buy them so they keep making them
>Trash company takes a risk and makes a good game
>Doesnt sell
>They decide it isnt worth the risk again and go back to making shit games
Its like people have no idea how basic economics works.
If you dont want for honor because you think its shit fair enough but this logic is stupid.
DEUS VULT ENJOY A PATCHNOTE
>Orochi changes: Fixed Storm Rush stamina penalty on Parry Attack indicator is now visible during the run part of Storm Rush
>Peacekeeper changes: Zone Attack range reduced from 4,3m to 3,5m Bleed damage on stabs decreased.
>Warlord changes: Headsplitter Leap (forward dash heavy attack) range reduced from 4m to 3,5m Headsplitter Leap (forward dash heavy attack) stamina damage reduced from 40 to 20 Headbutt can no longer be canceled into guardbreak Full Block Stance entry stamina cost increased from 5 to 15 Dash forward range reduced Headbutt costs more stamina Headbutt removes less stamina on hit and can't be cancelled into gb
>Kensei Changes: Increased HP from 120 to 125 Light attack damage increased to 20 from 15 Helmsplitter (forward dash attack) damage increased to 20 from 15
Swift strike (side dash attacks) damage increased to 20 from 15 Fixed bug on side dash where you could go into the top heavy after dash.
>game sold in windows store and steam
I wonder if they will split the matchmaking like with the fucking CoD
>go to preload the open beta on Uplay
>apparently someone added an authenticator to my Uplay account without any confirmation through my e-mail or anything
>the only way to fix this is to log on which you can't do without the authenticator
Hmm.
>trash company makes a game
>you don't buy it because it's a trash company
>good or bad, retards still eat it up
>you literally don't matter
It's almost like people with decent taste are outnumbered by the hordes of idiots who will buy anything.
Totally agree with this.
>4. There are far better sword n board games to be playing
something new? like what?
Doubt it; all pc versions have to go through uplay
9am EST
Lol, spoken like someone who hasn't touched the beta.
>It's almost like people with decent taste are outnumbered by the hordes of idiots who will buy anything.
>as long as I say popular games are shitty without explanation I can continue to feel like one of the cool kids!
>60 bucks
No. Fuck Ubisoft.
I'll play the beta tho
I believe that fighting in full plate armor with chainmail inside and hard leather must be really tyring and uncomfortable, ergonomics weren't a thing back there, only functionality
It claims you can link your uplay account and steam. Which leads me to believe that you won't have to dl uplay. I know other jewbisoft games require it regardless. I'll see tomorrow I guess.
Belts. There's a reason the one around the waist while wearing chain is as wide as a leg.
>It claims you can link your uplay account and steam
Well that's not game specific now is it user.
you mean the beta? you have to download it via uplay, in fact you should pre load it right now
>Tfw was a good goy and preordered the collectors edition
Can't wait for this game, I've been hyped since they first showed it at e3
Pretty sure its 40 bucks on key sites and you can literally get a 20% discount just by making a Uplay account
Thanks, I know. It should retail for $40, though, so I can pick it up for $30 which is about what it's worth. If the game is still alive a year out I may yet buy it.
>for honor out of the top 10 sellers on steam
its gonna be dead in 1 month isn't
that doesn't count the people getting it via uplay or windows store, though
The game looked boring.
No.
>ubisoft
>uplay
>environmental kills
>p2p
>it will be its busiest at launch when its "new" for the majority
>by the time it has an actually reasonable price it will be completely dead
>all these complaints about $60 price tag
>meanwhile I spend $30 on take out every second day
>still save money
Get a job poorfags
>You don't want to spend above the items value you must be poor
Every single time.
>Environmental kills
Literally my only worry about this game
>Kensei buff
But he was alright
no
>why?
ubisoft
>he doesn't main THE MASTER OF THE LONGSWORD
>conk and warden left untouched
Based knights of supreme balance.
>Kensei buffed
Time to shit on even more plebs, shit's gonna be great.
>HIS ARMOR ISN'T A SECRET OF HIS ORDER
He's terrible compared to every other class. Webm doesn't help because that Nobushi sucks ass.
>he unironically isn't AS STRONG AS A BATTERING RAM
The per-purchase offer on steam is the game. What??
No.
>More methodical combat of Dark Souls but without any of the exploration or lore to immerse yourself into
>Musou structure to map conquest and beating up fodder, guards, captains, etc to gain control, but without any of the fun, over-the-top characters and combat
It mixes Dark Souls and Musou games, while simultaneously removing key things that make those games popular
reminder
>Windows store
>le ubi is bad meme
Tell us all about those terrible experiences you've had? I'm assuming you get all your opinions from reddit and Jim Sterling too
>tfw your main is useless against any half-decent player
Infinite chains are dogshit in a game where blocking and parrying is this easy.
No because qte
Lol it's nothing like dark souls. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
Also the musou part is literally one game mode.
I don't think this is entirely accurate, I expected something different to what I got, but I like pretty much all those games, to say that just because you didn't get what you expected makes it bad is kinda silly.
Did you even play the beta you fuckin weeb?
>"I haven't played the game: the post"
Shitty drm from the ass creed 2 days
Boring sandboxes filled with nothing but filler content
Climbing towers was fun like twice. I don't want to do it in every franchise
Oversaturation of games, too many releases that are too similar to one another
It's not even that Ubisoft are that bad a company anymore, they just tend to make bland, boring games.
Yeah.
People say its fun and I want to give it a chance. Here's hoping it will run.
Probably won't though.
I'll play the beta and then not buy it. I have a ton of games to play anyway, I'm fine just tasting it and then never touching it again.
