QTE
Always online single player games.
Always online consoles.
Tom Clancy games.
dumb frogposting
>suppressors (silencers) reduce velocity and damage bit also dampen sound extremely
'Serious' stories. 9 times out of 10 they're just shit and would be better off not trying at all.
>Tuning down the difficulty for "MUH BROADER AUDIENCE"
That pic really grosses me out for some reason. There's something really fucking weird about it.
I agree it is a bit sexual, but I don't know what.
tutorials on tutorials
honestly just tutorials in general. Especially if you are forced to play them.
only having 2 or 3 weapon slots
qte "boss fights"
pre order exclusives
unskippable cutscenes
characters with a lack of feminine penis
infinite respawning enemies in games with limited ammo
Pepe.
open world
"Casualising" the modern gaming scene and ruining good franchises and good ideas for games by trying to get as many normies as possible to spend their money
What do you consider open world to be?
A proper open world would allow freedom to travel and explore early in the game like a lot of them do now except there would actually be shit to do, instead of vast stretches of nothing. All the big games in the past few years that have made open world their selling point have had fuckall to do in 75% of it and there's been a plague of fetch quests in the industry
FFXV and MGSV are notable examples and Xenoblade X is slightly better about it but still riddled with fetch quests out the fucking ass
I'll take a more linear game with good pacing and solid gameplay focus over an empty wasteland with menial bullshit and padded travel time any day
So.... FF13 is your GOTY every year then...?

>dungeon crawler
>characters are illustrations
>enemies are illustrations
>only animations are hits/magic/skills
As if the genre wasn't the epitome of repetition, they have to continue making it the most bland experience in history. If I wanted to play this I'd rather play tabletop RPGs, same thing.
No 13 is the biggest piece of shit in the series and I love 12 for having a better open world than any game this gen despite having areas split into zones
You can cover most of the world and plunder endgame areas less than a quarter of the way through if you know what you're doing
"eco-packaging" with huge holes cut into the case
reducing manuals to barely a health and safety paper if that
forced tutorials
>alienating buyers for the sake of a broader audience
When you try to make something for everyone, you end up making someone for no one.
Not making mech games
WoW clones. it's a shit game that only sold because of its name but everyone fucking copies it
Open world (done wrong)
Hardcore difficulty
Both need to go
