We're only couple months into 2017, but it already managed to return my hope in humanity that I lost after all the shit the industry has put us through in last 5 years.

The industry always made frames with passion, if a mere sequel is enough to "return your hope" then I must assume that this last 5 years you only bought EA games

who's the first dude?

>muh Undertale
Fuck off.

Ah yes, because people that like japanese games really have "high" standards that have to be met to consider a game good.

>Yakuza Kiwami and 6
>made with care and passion

unfortunately not

niggoshi is losing it

>western games
>standards
Western devs couldn't even save their own fucking industry after the crash. Japs had to step up and give em a hand.

Serious question, why are Japan and Europe getting so good with releases these days and the west is stagnating, more or less?

Zero was great. What's wrong with 6, tell a EOP.

Not that user and I haven't played it, but the combat looks really easy now and lacks the cool heat moves and shit.

I'm super hype for Automata.
But the no PC date is killing me, I know already I'll end up buying a goddamn ps4 pro a day before they announce it.
Which wouldn't be bad if there were more games on that that interest me but theres not much and ones I was interested in are all on PC now too.

Kiwami is literally Zero but ruined, and 6 is a 15fps clunky mess with a story that ruins everything.

I really hate the regenerating health thing bosses do. Other than that, isn't Kiwami fine?

damage sponge boss fights, shitty music, and stupid shit like majima everywhere system ruined it for me - also having to be forced to do the majima everywhere system to max the legend style annoyed me

Yakuza's story has been awful for awhile
1,2 and 0 are the only games that aren't embarrassing, with 3 being the lowest point and 5 being at the highest low point

>making sequels instead of making a story complete game and innovating towards new IP's

This is what's wrong with the gaming industry today.

like they were bad in a funny way, but 6 is bad in a downright bad like 3 way

ruined haruka forever

What did the Japanese do to help the westaboos?

In Japan mobiles are knocking on the door of every major publisher and those who wish to stay in the home console business need to find their success on PS4 and are only just now starting to win the game of catch up they have been playing since last generation where the PS3 more or less set their industry back 5 years coupled with a collective period of laziness after their years of straight winning.

The sudden success of the PS4 surprised and pulled back many developers back into the mix developing console games and making games takes time which is why it's taken a while for Japan to actually get the ball rolling with truly next generation new releases independent from the slew of games that still have roots in the PS3.

When you know that mobile gaming is your future if your game fails to sell and penetrate, I think you're going to perform better and end up with a better product.

Looks like a kid trying to cosplay as the guy from Vanquish

Also Japan doesn't just make good games because they are fearful for their jobs, they make great games because they are passionate about what they do and have an extremely strong work culture. The few developers in the west who share a similar work-culture also typically develop great games like Rare, Insomniac or Naughty Dog for example.

Or it's that you can't learn to try to enjoy western games. Yeah it's not the best right now, but good stuff comes from time to time depending on individual tastes.

Also Japgames are all samey to me, so I don't give a shit about 'em.

I hope the PS4 picks up in Japan soon.
