Sup Forums sure love to talk about how industry is stagnating, yet no one actually cares to play games that are not grimdark with buckets of blood spraying everywhere.

What is there to talk about that isn't waifu faggotry though?
Just shut up and enjoy the game, not much else can be done with it.
>try demo
>they start posing
>they start screaming

Can you explain dark red glass buildings in Hekseville then? Though so, faggot.
>gravity rush lore
>i guess we just don't know ^^
Done, anything else you want to do?
yep its a goty contender. i agree

Millennials are the death of Western culture:
youtube.com
Of course this affects video games.
>Vita still saving the PS4 even in death
Top kek.

Applies to Souls, NieR, Silent Hill, etc. Any game with any sort of mystery behind the setting.
>Sup Forums
>ignoring something because it's weebshit
That makes no sense
It's not reporting, it's a rant.
this is all true and it's still a 7/10 game
not a bad thing in any way, but stop pretending like it's the best shit ever
Brainwashed millennials hate beauty and love uglyness. Just look how they dress.
Of course this applies to their video games taste, too.
How do you dress?
Also, do you hate modern fashion scene too?
...
Not really, sprinkling lore details like Souls does begets discussion and theorizing, Nier has a clear cut story with a ton of sidematerial, plenty to talk about.
I don't see anyone else trying to make Silent Hill lore discussion threads. GR has barely any hints, barely anything to go on, and the game itself just linears unveils shit for you.
I heard this game was 40 hours long, is that true? I can't imagine the gameplay stays fresh for that long.
And that makes it better, does it? The problems of a whole generation can be summed up by by one angry dude co-hosting on a terrible "show"
>yfw
since long time..whole 2016 was shit for example
>7/10 game can't be the best shit ever
You only fall in love with games that get 10/10 on IGN?
I'm not talking about review scores, user
I liked how the game ended with that final boss, i cant think of a sequel after this game
>>PS2 open world design
the fuck are you trying to say
>The problems of a whole generation
don't matter here. What's affecting video games does matter.
As long as you make the distinction between Generation Y: 1980-1986. And Millennials: 1987-1999.
Maybe if you do absolutely everything.
There's 20 chapter. 21 for the true end. Most chapters are between 30 minutes to an hour long with some exceptions. You can easily finish the game around the 20 hour mark if you just do the story missions.
it is more than 40 hours of content and i mean real content (not just fetch quests) it stays fresh cause you got 3 different styles and a lot of power ups also treasure hunts are total fun.
they only thing i dislike are talisman
Took me 60 for story and challenges/sidemissions, doing trenches now. Combat is pretty basic, but additional styles help mix things up a LOT and it didn't get boring for me.
In comparison I was tired of combat in the first game by the end, and it was much much shorter game.
If you're not talking review scores then you're talking subjective score. Your 7/10 can be 10/10 for me or 1/10 for some other guy, it's irrelevant.
Yes, let's just not talk about video games at all now because "good" or "bad" doesn't exist.
>he sees no difference in PS3 era open world and PS2 era open world
Compare GTAV with GTA:SA. The concept is the same but the way worlds there are designed are very different.
Now that makes absolutely no sense. You're giving the game score based on your understanding of what makes the game good, and it's subjective and irrelevant because different people prefer different games. One could say that UC4 is 9/10 for them, but it won't be for me because even though the game is polished and provides fun experience, it doesn't do anything in creative way, it doesn't "click" with me. Same way how Dragon's Dogma is 9/10 for me, even though the game has a lot of flaws, but its positives outweight the negatives, yes most people would call it a 5/10 game because they don't like it. Subjective score is irrelevant.
Good thing that Gravity Rush 2 being a 7/10 is objective then.
But wait, objective isn't important because subjective score is all that matters, right?
>PS2 open world design
uh, what?
>I'm not talking about review scores, user
First, make up your mind. Second, objective score of GR2 is 8/10 on Metacritic. So again, user, do you only play games that get 10/10 on IGN?
It means the world is empty like sotc.
>video games
>objective score
Are Sup Forums gamedevs this retarded?
No wonder western games are ugly garbage. If the people who make them are garbage, too.
My only problem with the game is the amount of grind to unlock all Kat powers, you didnt need to grind that much in the first game
Hell is a lot easier to get the 60000 gems trophy than unlocking all Kat powers
To be fair in first game you were getting so many gems you could instantly purchase all available upgrades as soon as they became available. I do agree that upgrade tree for special attacks is overpriced though.
Yeah, it's kinda weird that the 60k trophy is gold while kat power trophy is sivler even though it takes almost 90k gems
You still need to grind in GR1, it was just much more fun because all you had to do was to run the dungeons once or twice, and they were fun by themselves. GR2 just lacks good grinding "course".
i heard you need to replay mission 19, 2,5k per 3 minutes. when you reach the first fight against your shadow, abort mission and repeat
Yes, but that's not a proper grinding spot. A proper one would be like the dungeons from GR1 - you just start it and blast through it having fun, the gems are just a nice bonus. Restarting and reloading saves is a chore.
I will do that too, i didnt think about it
But dungeons in 1 were better for farming, the mines are just shit because you only get 5 gems at most from each green ball
