vg247.com/2017/02/09/bioware-explains-why-mass-effect-andromeda-wont-bring-back-the-paragon-and-renegade-dialogue-system/

>The Paragon and Renegade system is one of the few things not returning in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Instead, the game’s dialogue trees will be based on agreeing and disagreeing.

so they're dumbing it even more down to "yes" and "no" responses?

>Yes
>No
>Soverign?
>HATE REAPERS

Article says they're switching to "four tones". If I had to guess I'd say they're switching from Paragon/Renegade to Fallout 4 dialogue. I don't think this is a step up or down, both systems are equally garbage.

>Do you want to burn down an orphanage or or cure cancer?

>Yes/No

When did it become acceptable to link directly to articles instead of posting a pastebin?

So... like the Dragon Age 2 system, then?

Timeis$

liberals destroy everything around them and then when nothing is left they eat themselves alive. seriously hope this company falls through.

>Yes
>Yes, but be a dick about it
>No, I'll do it later
>Question

I want Fallout's system back, the one where you type in the word you want to ask the person about.

This isn't a bad thing. Binary karma systems are absolute cancer.

I agree that Paragon/Renegade was too restrictive but this just sounds like they're ripping the awful dialogue wheel straight out of Inquisition.

Andromeda is literally Cisquistion in Space isn't it?

yeah

just look at how good fallout 4 turned out :^)

>have to guess at a dozen different words before you find one they respond to

No.

Oh no, now instead of knowing exactly how to respond I'll know exactly how to respond.

so there is literally no reason to buy this game?
seriously bioware wtf are you doing

I imagine it'll be like DA:I's dialogue, which gave a fair few amount of options.

No, they're dumbing it down to
>Yes,
>Yes,
>Sarcastically Yes
>Tell me more but yes

>was he right
no

A lack of choices is hardly the problem, the writing is and Bioware aren't going to hit a homerun in that department.
Witcher 3 rarely gave you more than two or three choices in a conversation yet nobody ever really seemed to mind, because it was well written.

This is what you're defending right now.

SJWs are too dumb to be liberals, just like skinheads are too dumb to be nazis.

What? They did it the same was as DA2, in the vast majority of cases you have three choices, being nice, being sarcastic/witty and being a dick.

>this is an RPG after all, not a blockbuster AAA shooter for the masses

Why wait for Mass Effect when you can enjoy such rich dialogue in Fallout 4?

Available now on PC, Xbox One and PS4

i am NOT buying your damn game todd

No I'm not, why would the only alternative to paragon/renegade be FO4's awful system?

Because that's exactly what they said.

They're going from two to four.

trips confirms it, todd btfo

make a new IP todd we need another hoarders game

It's still an improvement though, and anything that does away with the retarded binary karma system is good in my eyes.
That said, you'd have to be retarded to play this shit.

>it's an improvement

yeah

just like those models huh

>marked as spam
I guess not

What are you talking about? I haven't been following this game at all.

That's a shame, the Paragon / Renegade system was one of the best features of the series. Especially the dialogue interrupts that popped up, it was nice to be able to shoot someone mid conversation to get a slight edge in combat. Hopefully that returns, even if it's not coated in the red/blue paint of Renegade/Paragon.

Metal Gear?

Witcher at least didn't repackage answers pretend they were different

You forgot
>No (Yes)

But will I still be able to be a giant asshole for no reason?
NPC abuse is the only fun part of Bioware games.

So literally ME system but without the renegade/paragon options?

It was always a shitty system because you had to be an asshole all the time just to punish people who deserved it.

It was anti-RPG because you were forced to always take the same responses just to get more points in your chosen behavior.

so your responses have even less of an effect on the world since they won't accumulate like they did with paragon/renegade
the karma system from fallout, along with the paragon/renegade system, wasn't binary since you could have a mixture of both options. i actually miss the karma system from new vegas

>penis and variants
