I'm sure eventually but it's no longer using PowerPC and the same filesystem as the Wii so it'll take much, much longer. We probably won't see it hacked until the end of life.

I actually don't care about it being portable either.
I'll use my Switch docked and hooked to the TV 99% of the time if not exclusively.
However I still like that it is part handheld, because it means it has a good chance of getting many good Japanese games which only platforms that can be played on the go in Japan get usually.

Which I can then play on my big TV with a proper controller.

I like Nintendo games but I don't want to play them on a shitty tablet. If they were on PC I'd buy them.
Nintendo hasn't full committed to the Switch. They're planning on yet another handheld in the near future, and that's where the games everyone thinks will come to the Switch are actually going to go.
Gamefreak won't have a choice but to release a mainline game on Switch if they don't pump something out before about April 2018. That's when the 3DS is kill.

Honestly if they announced a VC I'd probably grab it, I'm living off a second hand flat screen TV that isn't even 720p as far as I can tell, I can't read text in Xbox 360 games on it. A console/handheld that isn't reliant on a TV would be great for couch / bed / yard play and I could throw this ugly, useless thing into the spare room for when my mother or sister come to stay.
