"return to its roots"

RE7 with greater enemy diversity, larger and more complex level designs, and to finally do something with the lingering Revelations villains. Generally though I thought RE7 was a big step back in the right direction, imperfect though it may be.

I want them to stop making them.

mark my words, the next game will be something like this:

youtube.com/watch?v=ifmFMfcg7VE

Return to its fun

RE4-2

I want File #3.

REmake 2, then milk 3 versions out of that like they did with REmake

3x longer RE7

Why can't these guy make my waifus fuck normal polygons.

Claire. With a good model and Alyson Court

I want more Chris

Drop first person and VR.

I dunno about 3x longer. Part of the inherent replayability of classic RE is that they're short as fuck once you know what you're doing.

is the video finally out?

not a chance, fancy pants. considering capcom milked 5/6 off 4's success, i doubt they'd change directions.

I want REmake 1 HD remaster, REmake 2 HD, REmake 3 HD, REmake CV HD, REmake 0 HD.

That is all. Those are the only Resident Evil games that are good and true survival horror.

February 28th for $20 patrons, March 1st for everybody else. Hopefully a patron leaks it.

Is a one day wait really that bad?

>0
>good

I mean, the train section is. It's really fucking good, actually. After that...it has good "qualities", I suppose. It's only slightly better than 5 and 6 in my eyes.

This is basically what I want, RE7 style with a very large mansion or house, and lots of different enemy types, bring back hunters maybe, and have zombies that can bust down doors and wander around the whole mansion.

>studiofow

Doesn't matter, it is better than 4,5,6,7 and all the other garbage.

Fixed camera + Tank control + true Survival horror or gtfo.

I thought Zero had even creepier atmosphere than even Remake, the parts when you're stuck alone are really fucking creepy.

Eh, Capcom had good reason to move away from it at the time. Honestly, I like 7. It's not perfect but I think it's a good enough horror game and it flows enough like a stripped down take on the classics. I'm cool with fixed camera but at this point unless it's a remaster for the nostalgia sales it's commercial suicide at this point. I'm breaking out the popcorn for the threads to come if Capcom did bring it back proper, though. I also like the Revelations games, moreso the first than the second, but meh.

Why does everyone hate Rev2? It's my 5th overall game of the main 12.

Why was Leon such a shit parent to Sherry? Claire visited her everytime, while it seems like Leon just distanced himself from her. Is he a cunt?

7 might be a fun game, but it is not a RE game. It should have been a brand new IP.

Fixed camera and tank controls isn't financial suicide. REmake HD remaster sold pretty well for being a game everyone has played to death.

RE8 full balls to the wall fixed camera, tank controls, true survival horror game with multiple endings, playthroughs, characters and atleast 20hour long would be a 10/10 financial success.

If they don't bring back zombies I'll never play another resident evil

How well did Remake HD sell? I know the original GC version sold poorly.

Zero has the weirdest shit that makes it fall apart, though. No really memorable enemy types aside from the leechmen, the game performance actually stutters on jumpscare attempts (no idea if the remaster fixed that, though), item drops basically amounting to item management with even more steps, a weird ass story that I can't even recall beyond the villain being kind of silly, two characters meaning twice the item management at all, and so on. That said, it also had some good puzzles, the leechmen were cool, the train section is an absolute highlight of classic RE, Becky finally got a game. It's not ALL bad, but I played it once and can't see me ever really revisiting it. Even then, that one playthrough was really on/off for me, I did a better job of sticking to 5/6's campaigns for their duration and that's saying something.

6 had zombies, doesn't mean it was good. Revelations 2 had zombies too in Barry's story. I would like to see classic style zombies though who wander around a house and can pound open doors, meaning you might've killed a zombie in one room, but a zombie wandered over there from another room.

Nigga busy saving the world, he got no time for pussy

because Leon had his own life and career and he isn't obligated to babysit a girl he spent about 20 minutes with once on the worst night of his life?

The lack of item boxes is total shit and kills the pace, and yeah Marcus is a really odd villain with a strange as hell backstory. Two characters actually makes the game harder since health items appear as much as other games but you have to heal twice as often, I played HD recently on normal and often was running around in caution or danger.

I don't "hate" it. Like, it's low on my rating but it's the worst that I'd readily call worth playing I suppose. I have no real beef with Rev2, I just like the other good games a bit more.

To an extent. You do realize people are even shitting on RE7 for not doing 5/6 numbers, even though Capcom projected much less and is doing decently in line within said projections, right? REmake sold well for a remaster, but action RE smashes every other RE out there save 2 and possibly 7 if it maintains momentum. And they still beat 2, it just isn't bodied like the other titles were. RE5/6 did like 7 million and change, RE2 has done like 5 million and change, Capcom's hoping for 4 million with RE7, and the others are the others in comparison.

My ranking overall probably goes

Remake>4>2>1>Rev2>7>Zero>3>CV>Rev>5>6

I wouldn't say "no" to what you're suggesting, however I am quite tired of "fans" saying that RE7 "isn't an RE game."

What a total load of bullshit.

Played the games since I was a boy.

Own most of them, besides maybe Gaiden and the shit ones like ORC and Umbrella Corps.

I've spent thousands of dollars on the series.

I bought RE7 day one.

I really liked it. And I've been playing it on and off since I beat it.

The Good
>atmosphere
>setting
>gameplay
>save rooms and music
>Baker family
>Birthday tape (first time, at least)
>Voice acting

The Okay
>monster design
>characters (Ethan, Zoe, Mia)
>story

The Bad
>lack of monster variety
>no boss on ship
>mines
>final boss not challenging whatsoever
>cliffhangers galore

It has its problems, but despite the drawbacks it's still very much an enjoyable game. Even to replay. And it's DEFINITELY an RE game.

Looking forward to Rev3, REmake 2, and RE8 now.

I do recall it being one of the harder classic RE titles, part of that coming from having to manage two characters. That mechanic really is a double-edged sword though - helped the difficulty and they definitely displayed creativity with the mechanic giving the characters minor dedicated roles and having them split up, but it all was a detriment to general pacing. Zero as a game just doesn't flow the best.

Got too much time for pussy, actually. Spends all his time playing cat and mouse with Ada, so he has no time left for his daughterfu

Considering how they bonded and the fact Sherry is the only reason he literally didn't kill himself, abandoning her like that just makes him a shitty person

>Considering how they bonded and the fact Sherry is the only reason he literally didn't kill himself

When did this happen? Leon and Sherry hardly interact at all in RE2.

For me it's

REmake > Rev1 > 1 = 2 > 7 > 4 > CV = 3 > Rev2 >>> 0 > 5 > 6

And I just have a particular fondness for Rev1's ideas and setting, that's why it's so high.

>thinly veiled porn thread
>it becomes an actual Resident Evil thread
I'm proud of you Sup Forums

Yeah that's Zero's biggest problem in general is poor flow and pacing, mostly caused by the lack of item boxes and inventory sizes being small, and it can make it harder if you need to run by enemies.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't rate 3 as being among the best in the series. Like it's still great, but for me is just missing too many features from the first two games, and has some truly insane backtracking.

RE6 files
"To tell you the truth, I even thought about ending it - several times, actually - with just a quick bullet to the head. But I didn't give up. Sherry needed me. She was a 10-year-old girl thrown into a hellish environment with monsters after her, so I had to pull myself together for her sake. She was our reason for not giving up - especially for Claire."

"In spite of the tragedy she has witnessed, she still believes implicitly in the good of people. Her relationship with Leon and Claire since they saved her in Raccoon City has never changed."

> Cuckold fow

Remove western writers and consultants.

I kinda get why 3 is liked by some - I'd actually recommend that one to action RE fans looking to get a taste of classic RE as it's by far the most action-oriented, it was the beginning of Mercs (not a part of RE I particularly care for but might interest fans of 5/6 to see how it started) and of course, everyone loves Nemesis. But generally, it and CV were just solid titles to me. I wasn't head over heels for them but they're good games for sure. Also, I did make a minor error in my ranking - much as I hate to admit it I did like 6 more than 5. 5 did nothing for me, 6 at least had nice controls.

I know the mines were in the original game, but they felt so out of place in this one. The biggest disappointment for me was the lack of a true lab. I was so excited to see all the sick experiments and all the horrors that go on in the labs but it was like 2 rooms. The basement made up for it mostly though, it was more or less the lab.

I like 3 so much because it had Resident Evil's first recurring character, Jill.

It was the first game where I actually started to feel like the game was a series, and it really expanded on Jill, too. Not to mention, Nemesis is a cool fucking baddie.

Yeah I agree they're both good games and I'd recommend them as well to people who've liked the others. 6 to me was a total clusterfuck full of plotholes and just poor writing in general, and insane QTEs. 5 to me was a far better game on the whole, but the first two chapters of Leon's story was better than anything in 5.

Revelations 3

Coincidentally 3 was supposed to be the side game while CV was the actual RE3, but even then Claire and Chris make a comeback so it has the same impact either way. Seemed to be where the series was heading.

>third person
>actual zombies, like t-virus, no plagas whatever bullshit
>more freedom in maps, not saying open world, but maybe open city
>malewali makes his nude models swiftly

If I had to rank:

REmake > 2 > 4 > 3 > 1 > Rev2 > 7 > CV > Rev1 > 0 > 5 > 6

For main entries, anyways.

Don't get me wrong, I like CV and Rev1, just not as much as the others.

Play Dead Rising instead.

3rd person, lower camera, improved physics and more costume options.

I do, if you're referring to DR HD. I can't find nude mods for Jessie though.

I've been waiting for this one

Take zombies from Outbreak and give them steroids.

They were already fast as fuck. Make them a bit faster on decision making so you can't just walk in front of it super fast and they can legit be scary.

Rev3

What does everyone think of this idea?

>huge mansion split into 2 different buildings with a large courtyard
>have a flashlight that has batteries, they drain slow but you still need batteries
>zombies that can wander around the mansion making previously safe rooms unsafe, except save rooms of course
>weird puzzles, and keys
>different ways to solve the puzzles, and different ways to access rooms in the double mansion
>laboratory that lacks power and is partially flooded and requires the flashlight to navigate until you reactivate power. No swimming though
>Crimson heads

That's an area where I feel the complete opposite. I actually hated Leon's campaign and could tolerate the rest. His tried to be horror but RE6 in general is so bad at conveying horror that it should've just been an action game the whole time, and it really muddled his campaign. I'd be on board if the atmosphere was right but you're just too capable in RE6, what's scary when you control a character as powerful as Leon? The other campaigns settled into their grooves a bit more gracefully.

As for 5, I just didn't care for it at all. Felt like a discount RE4 with tacked-on co-op and cover shooting mechanics to me, and its gameplay flow of "kill everything, now walk 10 steps and do it all over again" wore on me really fast. Even RE6 had its moments of downtime or doing things that weren't killing everything in sight, something I recall only happening in RE5 maybe 2 or 3 times outside of the caves. I did like its inventory system, wanted to see it in a horror title, and 7 would go on to basically make a better version of 5's inventory management so there's that. Also, Sheva. I do not dislike Sheva.

this + first person mode is optional or unlockable bonus after beating the game in third person

Resident Evil 8: Continue the path RE7 went down but fix its issues like enemies and lategame.

REmake2: Faithful to the original, fixed camera angles etc.

Resident Evil Mercs or some kind of Co-op Action: Take RE6's combat mechanics and put them in a game that's not fucking terrible. Go heavy with the fanservice.

That covers everything basically.

Agreed, that's a good ass idea.

Agree on 5 being a killing spree, and it wasn't scary whatsoever. I think instant melee too also ruined 6. I still liked Leon's campaign a lot because the first part reminded a lot of what a remake of 2 or 3 could be like and the Bloodshots were actually scary enemies. Sheva wasn't that bad, but she could get annoying at times and she felt severely underdeveloped.

And the award for the most correct post in the thread goes to...

It's amazing that randoms on a cambodian paper mache image board know how to better handle the franchise than the executives at Capcom

I like this idea

I did like the beginning of the lab leading into the first licker encounter, but that lasts maybe 10 minutes if you soak in the atmosphere for a bit. Aside from that and the motorboat part in the swamp, RE5 really kind of bled together for me. I did like Lost In Nightmares, but conversely Desperate Escape was everything I hated about the game cranked up to 11, even if you did get to play as Jill.

Lost in Nightmares was probably the best part of 5 and it was fucking DLC. I hate when developers keep the good shit as DLC.

To add to my post. REV3 should get rid of episodes, upgrades and forced partners for the main campaign. The story should concentrate on one protagonist. Also, put the upgrade system in Raid mode as well as co-op. Offer both local and online co-op for Raid mode

>That entire licker chapter on pro

I just want Outbreak Remastered or 3.

They could even poz up its neggyhole with all costumes as DLC or whatever they want to do.

Hell the game pretty much had the Street Fighter method of "play rounds and use those rounds points to buy costumes" anyway.

They are legit sitting on a gold mine.

love it

for it not to be made into a movie

Resident Evil VII 2

same engine, new setting etc

This nigger knows whats up.

A new outbreak honestly it could work now that consoles are always online now.

>same engine

It could use some refinements. Game loading is complete ass on PS4 at least and some of the slowest I have ever endured, texture loading is hilariously slow as well, and even when everything is firing on all cylinders there's still a waxiness to some textures - it works for monsters decently enough but for environment and humans it looks kinda weird. They've got a decent enough engine overall, RE7 is a nice looking game when everything's actually loaded, but I wouldn't call it perfect yet.

My nigga.

Sherry with her Raccoon city parents is cute.

Does it run a lot better on Pro or is that on Pro?

When are these hack frauds going to make the Samus movie like they said they've been saying they're going to do for years?

I only have a Slim so I can't say. I assume it runs better on Pro, though. For the relative premium price, it damn well better. I mean, why fork over the cash if it doesn't? That said, I played RE7 5 times and the actual performance, like framerate and what have you, was rock solid. Textures just need to load faster than they do, as well as the game proper. Seriously, you could take a shit and wash your hands in the time it takes to load up from the main menu.

This. Have a competent team to make it, and Capcom will make a great profit.

My masturbation schedule is no fucking joke.

My bigger concern is that Project Triforce is also at 90% but we haven't seen a single thing about it. They better have used the Twilight Princess model for Zelda, man.

>fapping to studiofow

The loading times from the videos are awful and for some reason the buzzing gets louder and louder.

Same here, I'm just glad Tuesday is my off day.

>Watching Studio "DUDE black guys and monsters lmao"

>and for some reason the buzzing gets louder and louder.

I didn't notice any buzzing. Either it didn't happen on my end or I just tuned it out.

It's after you watch the VHS tapes and the color bars show up. It buzzes louder and louder for me for some reason.

KROGAN COCK

Oh right. I forgot about their
>DUDE ONE TERRIBLE 'VOICE ACTRESS' LMAO

Weird, though to be fair I mostly ignored those after my first playthrough.

The flooded labs could be cool.
