I think kojima is great. He is very honest in a sense that he is a cool-whore, he goes for the things that are cool: cool looking movie (he rewatched newest mad max in b&w edition 18 times), cool sounding names, cool looking actors (mads) etc. so he is basically a hobbyist but the difference between him and for example people on this board is that he actually brings stuff that he considers cool in his projects and in doing so makes the crazy combinations of stuff that at least has a chance of ending up being cool as opposed to most of the devs, and of course his stuff has very unique energy in it, his projects may not end up being good but the energy is there.
Is this why metal gear survive looks so good?
