Why is it more "fun" to play games on consoles instead of PC?
Why is it more "fun" to play games on consoles instead of PC?
it isnt
poorfag rationalization
One is a designated video game machine, while the other is associated with work.
controllers are comfy
This, which isn't such a bad thing. When you have less stuff you tend to value what you have more.
Poorfags trying to tell people what stuff is the best is where it gets retarded.
cant alt-tab to Sup Forums on console
Because on PC you have tons more distractions you can or might deal with on your gaming session.
On consoles is mostly just play and shit. Less worrying about other stuff.
>you're not tempted to alt-tab to check some shit on the internet, breaking your gaming immersion
>chances are you're playing on a bigger screen, making the experience better
>you're probably sitting on a couch, which is more comfy than a gaming chair
>a gamepad is superior to a mouse/keyboard (inb4 hurr durr you can play PC games with a gamepad. I know)
>games on consoles are simply better than games on PC
>was a poorfag
>pirated everything
>didn't have any fun
>get job
>buy all my games
>have fun with them
>be a poorfag
>defend all the poorfags and shit on moneyfags and say all the dumb poorfag shit
>become a moneyfag
>buy all my stuff while shitting on poorfags for being so pathetic
>no fucks given its all shitposting
i assume its the same for most on here
>Why is it more "fun" to play games on consoles instead of PC?
I found out about this by accident.
I even double-dipped for some games on console, which I never managed to finish on PC.
It's not the fps I can tell you.
>multiplat runs like shit but still enjoy it more on console
what the fuck happened to me
work-station
play-station
WONDER WHY
>a gamepad is superior to a mouse/keyboard (inb4 hurr durr you can play PC games with a gamepad. I know)
Playing with a controller at a desk is extremely inconvenient. Unlike a console you can't control a PC with a controller only, so you still have to reach to KBM occasionally. Sometimes even for saving and reloading the game.
Should I get a new gaming PC or a console Sup Forums? My PC is garbage and can't run shit anymore. I just don't know if it's even possible to have a console as your primary gaming platform
I think it has more to do with the setting and the TV.
It's just more relaxing to sit on the couch with a controller, tbqh, though I still prefer mouse/keyboard for strategy and shottan games.
I just hook my PC up to my TV with an HDMI cable and it's the best of both worlds.
Most multiplats are made for console first.
I switched last year and haven't touched Steam since.
What games do you usually play? What PS4 games are you interested in?
Dunno but I agree.
I fell for the PC meme and while the options were nice the couch is the place to be. It's nice having a powerful desktop that I assembled myself even if it rarely gets to flex it's muscles. Recently added 2 more hard drives. This 4k content ain't gonna hoard itself.
8 hours at work on a computer followed by hours at home on a computer just wear me out.
The fact that the bone controller feels groping your neighbors daughter tier good plays a role as well.
because controllers are for play , keyboards are for work
Its not
Shooters and mostly multiplatforms. Horizon Zero Dawn intrigues me and some of the other new games the SJWs are cooking up. Not really into weeb games though
Console, senpai
Less bullshit, more gaming
Cause you were just a child when you last owned a console.
>Shooters and mostly multiplatforms
>Not really into weeb games
Build a PC. The PS4 is not for you.
The last one is obviously bait, but the rest checks out
Build a better PC
You'll be happier in the long-run
Ignorance is bliss. The games are made for the controller are dumbed the fuck down so the player gets to win for having a pulse.
I'd be fine with this if they let us cross-play with consolebabs so we can see some real tears again.
>I just hook my PC up to my TV with an HDMI cable and it's the best of both worlds.
I tried Big Picture since it became available and it was a pretty clunky experience:
>half of my library doesn't have proper controller support
>even stuff that works perfectly with controller on the 360 (Mass Effect)
>navigating Steam's TV interface is fine, but then you stare at some launcher with an unreadable font
>GOG doesn't support Big Picture.
>Crap like uPlay completely destroys the experience by asking for the Administrator password on launch twice, The Crew on PS4 works without that crap.
>PC games switch resolutions around and TV gets confused.
PC TV gaming is all half-baked shit and a world of hurt if you have a substantial library already.
It's interesting to see how much crap breaks down once you divert from the mainstream path of KVM.
>Not really into weeb games though
I wasn't either.
Then I got a PS4 and everything changed...
>the long run
This is what concerns me.
Consoles eventually become obsolete. PC gaming lasts forever pretty much.
Its strange what gets people into games.
I built a PC specifically to play weeb games
Most games these days have perfect Xbone controller support.
I don't bother with Big Picture, I just have a wireless keyboard/touchpad (pic related) for navigating steam and starting games.
Never had any real issues.
Physical PC games already became obsolete with Windows 10. They don't work anymore.
Most of PCs greatest library is physical while digital is 99 % shovelware garbage. But you can't play anything else on current Windows.
But you already were into weeb games.
PlayStation introduced me to them.
>Physical PC games already became obsolete with Windows 10.
Why would you lie?
I dunno, I'm an idort and I find that I actually do have more fun playing a lot of my games on console. It does look nicer on the PC I'll admit though. But I tend to actually enjoy playing them on console better. I think it might just be that I like the playstation controller a lot more than the xbobx controller I use on my pc.
Agreed here. There are always niggling issues that make you re-attach a keyboard, it's not a streamlined, efficient experience.
PC has infinite options and I like it for that, but it really requires you to have a keyboard and mouse and be dedicated to whatever you are doing.
"YOU CAN" do a lot of things. I emulated the Silent Hill arcade game and used a Wii remote to aim. It played well but it was a pain in the dick, and it's not something you can just power on your system wirelessly from the couch and boot to it instantly or anything, even after you have it set up.
Consoles will always be king of the living room, and I prefer them. It's "not a real argument", but there it is.
>I only use my PC to watch YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, download music and play Overwatch
>use my PS3 for everything else
PC Gaming was a mistake
Because console is playing for fun
PC is playing to win
last modern console I used was a friends xbone and it was a horrendous UI mess
>PS3
Is this 2010?
You can install physical PC games on Windows, but you can't play them, because Windows 10 tells them, you pirated them.
So do not pretend everything last "forever", just because you can download a PC game released 5 years. Yeah, that's a fucking long time for a underage teenager, but can't even compete with a PS2.
In fact I had to re-buy some PC multiplats on PS2 to be able to play them again, because I didn't manage to keep a working Windows98 machine around.
Windows 10 doesn't pirate check your games
I use my PS3/PS4 for YouTube too.
>Facebook, WhatsApp, download music and play Overwatch
Normalfags scum.
>You can install physical PC games on Windows, but you can't play them, because Windows 10 tells them, you pirated them.
You think someone would do that? Just go on the Internet and tell lies?
I guess partially because it's really the only interesting thing you can do with them. Like you're not going to get distracted browsing the internet on your console because that'd be stupid, and you don't have emails or work shit staring you in the face every time you turn it on. So basically it's just because it's disconnected from your responsibilities and shit that you might associate with your computer, or sitting at your desk, or other shit like that.
It's like how some people suggest you don't sleep in the same room that you work, because you might come to associate that room with stress and make it harder for you to sleep.
he's probably talking about securrom which is broken in 10 afaik
I wish. I enjoy playing consoles more than I do my PC, which cost me a lot more. I just enjoy not having the constant desire to have games running optimally, I always feel a bit ripped off when I can't run a game as well as I feel I should. Shitty optimisation has almost put me off my PC entirely.
PC is for a smegma dick, friendless virgins, who never leave their house, get overly attached to vidya and get forward head syndrome/shitty posture. Console is more casual and generally less lonely and pathetic.
Every fucking disc check is broken on Windows 10. You can throw out your entire physical collection except the ancient "type in this from page 42 of manual" shit.
This BTW the reason why completely stopped upgrading my gaming PC. My games still work, but it's now frozen to 2011 and will stay there forever.
>buy game for PC
>spend the first 30 minutes/hour tweaking settings to get optimal FPS
>runs bretty gud
>console game
>no settings to tweak
>runs like shit out of the box
hard choices
yeah, I'm a normalfag I guess
